    O Ring sizer

The harder durometer O-rings can be measured OK with calipers, soft o-rings are a real PITA to measure accurately. Thanks so much for the chart and App looks like a great tool. I will order one up even tho I am retired, awesome for these pesky metric o rings.

Is Stoeger's new PCP compressor a hidden gem?

Air leaks have taken out more compressor pumps than any other cause IMO. Both Lowes and Home Dopey sell leak detector, a small bottle is enough for your entire club. The liquid is quite benign, I've not had it damage anything. Small leaks make for longer run times, and longer run times equal...

To Strip or Not To Strip

I've seen a propane torch treatment ending up looking awesome. I just can't do it... I am still a fan of Birchwood Casey Tru oil, after all these years.

Is Stoeger's new PCP compressor a hidden gem?

Thanks JimD, good to know that parts are available, that's a big deal on these cheapo HPA pumps. My El Cheapo from Temu is straight to the trash when it has major failure. I have no clue who even made the thing. So far it continues to make air, I may get some life out of it by focusing on...

Is Stoeger's new PCP compressor a hidden gem?

IMO a 2 stage system has a lot of merit. I am on the wet West side of the Cascades, rain and high humidity is the norm. Dessicate (dry) your infeed air for the HPA pump. Ideally we dry the air between pump 1 and the pump one air storage tank. An air to air aftercooler, desiccant stack, and back...

Is Stoeger's new PCP compressor a hidden gem?

My shop compressor has a dryer system built in, it's an older dental air compressor for a dental office. I use my shop compressor to make feed air for my El Cheapo china HPA pump. I regulate the infeed air to about 5 PSI to avoid loading the piston on the HPA pump. Absolutely zero moisture in my...

What is Acceptable Percentage of Error for a Guage

It is right there is the description 1/8" BSPP is the thread specification. That is the straight threaded version of 1/8" MPT they are not interchangeable. Regular American style pipe threads are tapered.

To Strip or Not To Strip

Excellent, I've seen too many nice original stocks ruined, sanding will always remove some wood. Chemical strippers let us finish the factory fine sanding while retaining wood and esp checkering. As you mentioned catalyzed finishes can be close to impossible, aircraft type stripper can be effective.

Other AirForce Knockoff First Look + Other Pinty Guns

Thanks for the tips. Changing tires is out today, I've a nasty sore throat and coughing, I'm hoping SWMBO permits going to my man cave and doing gun plumbing. I mostly take care of her, she wants to take care of me today. My cup of hot cocoa was just delivered, life is good despite the sore...

    Tripod

Reduce reuse recycle. Haunt your local thrift stores, my brother thinks I am a tripod collector. I find them NIB for 5-10 bucks. My best find is a pro fluid head manfrotto video tripod for 10 bucks, that will be my primary, it's heavy duty and smooth as a moose $hit pie. I'll take some pics when...

To Strip or Not To Strip

I like the darkest one best. Are you able to chemically strip the old finish? I really try to avoid sanding an old finish off. Good stripper now runs 20 bucks per quart.

Other AirForce Knockoff First Look + Other Pinty Guns

Once I get a few chores done around the homestead here I'll rework the trigger-sear interface per thehammers post and the drawing that pinty sent along. I'm a fairly experienced gun plumber however the trigger is kinda devious, parts fly when disassembled. Spring is in the air, kinda like the...

HELP requested: OneLeaf Commander NV400 LRF does not update firmware

In my experience firmware updates can be problematic when you are way behind on updates. You may need to install an earlier firmware update to get the latest revision to work properly.

Given the coming heavy price increases I'm feeling pretty smug picking up this rifle. Excellent bargain.

They are trying! I received the image here from them this AM. Exactly what I needed. I've found the folks at Pinty to be a good vendor so far. I'm well pleased with my "P-force" rifle. It a great companion to my Hatsan Blitz.
