FX Officially an FX owner now.

Congratulations on your M4. That will be my next air gun.
Thanks! I love it, I still start giggling every time I shoot it cause the accuracy is just phenomenal. I've owned and shot numerous .22 LR that can't hold a candle to the accuracy I'm seeing out of the Impact out to 35 yards. Hoping the weather is better this week so I can stretch it out a bit.

I know what you mean about the accuracy, the first time I shot out past 50 yards and was hitting targets (4x6 inch) at 120 yards consistently I just knew I had something good going on! That day I shot an armadillo at 90 yards too.

So my entry to the world of PCP began with a couple months of research before finding the forum here, tons of great info and some very helpful folks here and Im so grateful for that. I ended up staying with my original and most researched choice, the FX Impact M4, the Copper color in .22 cal. Kind of a "damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead" moment, despite the negatives Ive read about here. Im happy to say that my particular M4 seems to be just fine. Shout out to the fellas at The Pellet Shop, the rifle arrived fast, charged to 260 BAR, and fully tuned to my choice of pellets. They also threw in a free t-shirt, pellet saver band, and a bag of Twizzlers. :D I mounted an Athlon Midas Tac 6-24x50 scope with MOA reticle and 30 mm tube, great combo!

Im shooting JSB 18.13 pellets. Reg, came set at 110, 15 on macro, micro set a shade over 2.5, Valve adjuster shoes what looks to be about 4.5 lines. This morning my Magneto speed V3 chrony showed a high of 915 low of 908, avg 911, ES 7, SD 2.8 over a string of 10 shots. With all the rain my shooting has been limited to out the bedroom window at distances varying from 20-35 yards, but let me tell you this thing is impressive. with a lull in the rain yesterday i was literally smashing flies at 20 yards. the giggle factor was off the charts.

I recieved the M4 on the 1st, as I stated the reg was set to 110, over the first 24 hours it dropped to 105 but has been rock steady there for 3 days now, assuming the drop was temperature related since my house is quite cool. The bottle pressure dropped to 255 as well. I dont see this as an issue, i expected things to settle a bit. My first refill came after the first 175 shots, bottle pressure was 145, figured filling early would avoid loss of performance. So far Im happy as a clam, great looking rifle that doubles as a fly swatter, no apparent issues. Hopefully the weather clears soon so I can stretch out the distance. (y)
Congrats on your new PCP rifle. I am in the research phase for my first PCP. I am eyeballing the FX Impact M4, FX King, Daystate Huntsman

I'm fine with the 18.13's...im literally shooting flies at 20-30 yards, I will stick with what I know works. Who ever tuned the M4 at The Pellet shop sure knew what they were doing when it comes to tuning.
I owned the first model of the Impact was a .25 cal back when AOA was selling FX products. I was thrilled with the accuracy and didn't touch the settings for a year. Eventually I tuned it for the 33.95s after learning the gun really well. If the gun is shooting well, I say leave it where its set and enjoy it.

Forgot to add that I also have an ATN 4K Night vision scope that will absolutely see some use for nighttime pest control. I have too many rats and mice that like to get into the chicken feed and eggs here, I figure an 18 gr sleeping pill will work very well for that little problem. ;)
You might wish to try some AEA's in it, I and a few others have found they are a touch more accurate. I doubt you'll be shooting them at 100yards so no need to get carried away with slugs. Which is another deep branch of the Rabbit Hole®, which I'm welcoming you to. Hey people he likes to tinker, any bets as to how long he'll hold out?

Ahhhhh, I was wondering how you got a FX that actually worked out of the box, now I know.

I've got 2 Mavericks, one is my messing around gun, the other a slightly modified .25 600mm barrel.

If I do decide to tinker and switch things around, it probably won't be too drastic. Maybe a .25 cal barrel at some point? I would prefer to stay with pellets, this whole PCP venture is strictly for fun for me. I don't plan on doing any hunting other than the occasional pesting session, so I really see no need for going down the slug rabbit hole. This is definitely a leisure activity for me so the KISS formula will definitely come into play.

Yeah, I called The Pellet Shop to thank them for the extras they Included with my order. The gent I spoke with told me they tuned the M4 to the JSB 18.13 gr pellets I ordered, included the velocity the pellets were tuned to and told me to simply enjoy the rifle until I got a good handle on tuning myself. Out of the box after mounting and zeroing the scope it has just been phenomenal on accuracy and shot count. If I were to ever buy another FX it will be from The Pellet Shop, very positive and pleasant experience.

Scope is an Athlon Midas Tac 6-24x50, FFP with APLR4 MOA reticle. And as a sidenote, I have not experienced any reg creep to speak of. Reg was at 110 when I received the rifle, after setting a few hours adjusting to the temperature difference of my house it dropped to 105, ever since that it has stayed right at 102-105 depending on the temperature in my home.
