Thinking getting one these to hunt squirrels with and possibly use in ft. Are they just as accurate as the wood stock version?

Yeah I don't mind the weight. I like a heavier gun anyways 10-12 is fine for me. I might walk a mile hunting if that.Very heavy for walking about . but i would also do that , my 97 is custom wood stock and big scope so heavy

No I actually don't have one HW. Txs,54, nitro piston that's it. I thought about a 95 or 98 alsodon't you have a HW55 ? good for hunting?
I am the same way. Light to me is 9lbsI'm curious why many people complain about the weight of a rifle For hunting. I spent most of my life hunting with full size rifles that were far from featherweight and I hiked many miles with them. I myself prefer a rifle that has a little bit of weight as I can shoot it more accurately in field positions.
