First time capturing a lot of trail cam footages of coyote activities between Feb. 10-15. I had to edit over 160 clips of 20sec videos showing a pack of 4 coyotes digging up dead carcass in the pit.

I have been trying to hunt for my coyote#10 since the end of last year. Now is the best time to get them but the cold weather has been stopping me from going out there to stalk them. Luckily it will be warmer from now on, so I will have opportunity to try my luck one of these nights.

It is a long video, but you get to see how the coyotes work together as a team, staying safe and taking turns digging and feeding.

Enjoy.

Yes, these coyotes roam around the neighbourhood freely. Too many of them around but very difficult to stalk and shoot them with an airgun. The farmer has successfully shot a few coyotes with his shotgun when they were in range. These coyotes would travel in pack and attack pet dogs/cats all the time. I am just trying hard to help out the farmer whenever I can. One slug at a time, lol.

Yes, I would be able to aim at the ones resting on the top of the mount rather than the one feeding. But the farmer has to lower the dirt for me so I can have a clear line of sight. Will see what happens next weekend.
Max , I think BlackIce is on the right track . If they keep their routine , the scout sure seems like the main target. I'll be following along , dress warm ! I'm
still doing most of my shooting indoors . I did get out last week & popped a couple starlings. & a feeder robbing HOSP.

It seems like the best or better shot location would be on the roof of that blue building on the left. Would be a much closer shot with a direct line of sight to the scouts standing on the wall. Of course it's much more difficult to get in that position and much more dangerous if you slip off and fall. I wouldn't say it would be a fun activity waiting for hours in the cold on top of that roof.

I waiting too,was in az hunting them a few weeks ago,it's cold in tn

I will have to check the trail cam footages again this week to see what they are up to. Not sure if there is any new dead calf or cow in the past week. The coyotes will continue to come if the food supply is available.

The blue barn is not accessible. This separator spot is my best bet. I have tried inside a tent 60 yards away parallel to the blue barn in the past but no luck. I think they smelled or saw me inside the tent. I will not give up until I get one, lol.

Update with my coyote hunt. I was able to drop by the farm to retrieve my trail cam footages after two weeks. Upon arrival, the farmer told me his son has dropped a couple of the coyotes in the past two weeks with a shotgun. I was both happy and disappointed at the same time as my chances of tagging one myself has dropped to 50% now with only two coyotes left at this location. Cold and bad weather had prevented me to do a stake out, but either way, the farmer got rid of the pest problem for now. He also told me that in the next week or two, he will be moving all the dirt and fertilize the fields. I will get my chance until then. Hopefully the remaining coyotes will return again.

At least the weather is getter warmer and sun in the forecast. I will get a chance to shoot some pigeons.
