When you first get the compressor are you supposed to turn the grease dial prior to use or after 5-6 hours?

After 4-6hrs is what I readWhen you first get the compressor are you supposed to turn the grease dial prior to use or after 5-6 hours?
Fits perfectly on a amzon rectangle dolly. Have 8 hours on it and it’s cooling has been upgraded also.Have you put much time on the Tuxing ? How is the reliability ? Obviously not going to be moving that one around very much?
I will say this, for anyone on the fence, it seems to run straight through as long as I am periodically checking the moisture bleed valve and adding grease when needed.
The manufacturer said it could be tripping the overheat protection and also said it could be possible air bubbles in the coolant system. I might try to drain and refill but for now it’s working pretty good. This is a 9L bottle I am filling so I get that it can be taxing on a small unit like this.
My car manufacturer claims I can go 15000 mi between oil changes, would never exceed 5000 even if it were still under warranty. After reading Gx4 could be ran for 5 hours I bought. Had a 3 liter and filled. Slow but cool. Got a 9 liter and let it run,
total was 5 hours 10 minutes. The grease and water fills were lukewarm warm to the touch. Since have topped off tanks. Then got a 6.8 liter and filled that from empty. I had a leak in my hoses and gauges and it took as long as the 9.
I had added a timer after 3 hours and it now has 24 hours. For the hell of it I added an external additional cooling system.
never believed it was needed to run. I’m retired and it was something to do. Have again filled the 9 liter from empty.
Gx sold it as able to run 5 hours and I’m gonna use as such. It’s a simple machine and parts are easily available.
I Have bought a Tuxing tx ed042 since for a little more than 1/2 the cost of the Gx. If I could do it over I would have saved some money and just had the faster , hotter Tuxing
And you felt the need to tell me this, Why ?My car manufacturer claims I can go 15000 mi between oil changes, would never exceed 5000 even if it were still under warranty.
It's the part that is attached to the top of the cylinder head with a Phillips screw.I pulled the cover off my CS4I (second one received) and checked all the connections to make sure everything was tight. Couldn't find anything that was loose. Turned the compressor on and jiggled it around to look for air bubbles, didn't find any. Put the cover back on and tried a minor top off of my tank from 4000PSI to 4350PSI. Pump shut off three minutes later. Water temp 89F. Turned the pump back on and five minutes later it turned off again. Water temp 93F. Finally reached 4350PSI 25 minutes later, water temp 111F. Total shutoffs: five.
Searching the net, I've seen some owners who have tried disconnecting the temperature sensor. OK, it would make sense to see if that's the problem. Can someone help me out and tell me where it's located? If that doesn't work, I'm out of ideas. Just can't imagine another return to Amazon. What a PITA.
Have you contacted GX directly? I hear they only communicate by e mail. Please keep us posted on this. Planning to buy one soon , this certainly creates doubts especially as this is your 2nd one. Thanks for posting.Leaning toward one of these. Guessing not a question that probably can be realistically answered here but how prevalent do you guys think this shut off bug is ? Hopefully people know people who know other people with these compressors. lol. Otherwise unfortunately I guess this question will only reach a very small sample.
I’m not an owner of one. I’m in the same boat and thinking of purchasing one as well.Have you contacted GX directly? I hear they only communicate by e mail. Please keep us posted on this. That would be bad because it would start under pressure.Just a question here...
Have you let the compressor just sit for any amount of time when it turned off to see if it auto kicks back on after a cooling session?
Wasn't this a feature of the compressor?
Yes, I realize this seems like a premature shut off considering the low temp but just curious.
