Does it exist? Slash, SWFA SS second gen?

It may not be a total “rebrand”… but they are definitely kissing cousins. My point is: just because it says US Optics on the side, doesn’t mean it’s a US Optics optic.
so... how do we back up the assertion with some sort of hard facts? since i have both in house i can attest that they are similar in appearance but differ in quality.

Yes indeed it is known ... The TS series "IS NOT" typical USO manufactured or quality, but still very nice scopes. There Chinese, but the If or not just a rebrand of a scope marketed under different name is debatable.
Now being manufactured by a factory making a similar scope ( Tho the USO version being more specific on QC or components used ) could very well be the case ?

But it does have a life time warranty, unlike Vector or discovery. I know, cause I had one of those Chicon scopes that went south. My claim was denied as scope was more than 5 years old.

I agree with what was said above, you won't find a fixed power, and the Midas Tac is one heck of a good scope. Probably the clearest you'll find in that price. My gripe with the Midas Tac is no lighted reticle, but I do have to admit, they made the best money choice, and put the $ in the lenses, fantastic. Since you don't seem to need a lighted reticle then a MT variable of your choice is probably the best answer.

Another good choice is the Hawke Frontier 4-20X44 1" scope. It is as clear as the Athllon and has the lighted reticle I want if that might tempt you at all. It also has a bit smaller, but yet just as usable target turrets. At 20x it is as clear as the Athlon and has a forgiving eye box.

Sounds like you’ve discerned the difference for yourself.
Ok then I’ll say
“they are not the same scope”
they look alike but the u.s. optics is not a rebranding of the vector veyron.
if you have more details to the contrary please share as I’d like to study it more.
more info is always appreciated

This scope seems to fit everything you asked for, MAP pricing is 2,470. You have to call around to see how much below that you can get, it won't be much. I know Eurooptic has a discount if you call them on the phone and pay with an e-check. I can't remember what it is, it's been about 8 years since I used it, it isn't much but anything helps.
