Spent the day with my Dreamline getting ready for Pyramid Air Cup today. I’m signed up for Benchrest and FT, just like last year. I borrowed my friends one piece rest last year and since then I was able to purchase one just like his and flags to go along with it. This year I’m trying to get my Dreamline set up with .30 cal and it’s taken some time, but today I think I’m closer now then ever. I think that my gun is shooting as well as it’s going to and the biggest thing I need to do at this point is practice reading my flags and holding for the wind. So here’s today’s results.
Gun : Dreamline Classic
Barrel: 700mm Type A pellet 1:40 twist carbon fiber sleeve bonded
Pellet : JSB 44 gr
Reg : 110 Bar
Scope : Nikko Stirling Hornet 10x50x60
Rest : Ahrens one piece rest
Started with getting my scope optically centered. Then proceeded to shoot some groups and chrony my shots. Settled in at 840 fps and shot my first card. There wasn’t much wind when I shot this card. Then I ended up helping my buddy work on his gun. After that the wind picked up a bit and really had an effect on my 2nd card. I checked the weather and it said that the wind was up to 7mph. At the end of the day I shared the 100 yrd target with my buddy and shot my last card. Im sure it’s not what the wind will be like at the cup, but it was still good practice in the wind. All in all it was a good day of shooting with friends and having fun. My goal for the PA Cup is the same and to just do as well as I can with what I got.
