I can't say I am always able to shoot MOA or less, but that is mostly me. And when I can do it, it is with a .177 Fortitude that I paid $233 for new delivered and an Akela I paid $333 for, new delivered.Boy not a good time to be strapped for money. Hopefully things will change when it is actually available.
The other thing is when you spend all your hard earned money on the gun and modifying it the way you want, to do all the things you want, what happens when the next version comes out and it's basic version does all the stuff your modified version does, and then some?
Maybe I'll just have fun with my old impact buying other people's take offs and cast aways.

Which chassis is that for the 17?I think the DRS Pro in .25 caliber will be an excellent prairie dog eliminating rifle !
I really like that it looks like a firearm and not an air rifle ! ! ! !
The MDT chassis on my 17 HMR and my 204 Ruger are an awsome upgrade to both Savage rifles !
The only bad thing I have to say is I can't order one yet ! !
Wasn't referring to you, just saw a lot of asinine comments on FB about this gun today. Mostly people hilariously crying about it "looking too much like a real gun", etc. Lmao.@AirShootist since you posted right after my post about haters( weather you were referring to me or not i really don’t care) but im not really a hater of fx i just don’t think their business is doing right by the customer. Im all for their advancements but think of the guy that just spent $3000 or $4000 getting a panthera set up for comp then they see the next new gun 6 mos later and now 6 mos or so after that another! How the hell is a guy supposed to feel good about his purchase if he’s getting beet by the next latest and greatest from the same mfg every 6 months to a year? I have a m3 and its ok for what it is but ill be spending more time in the brk daystate camp just for less pain in the wallet!
You are known for making logical points on the forum, thanks for continuing that here.
I will 100% be getting the CF version and of course adding weights, as you said. To be fair I was actually thinking (somewhat unenthusiastically) about how I'd have to buy weights for it earlier today. So, ok, you're spot on with those points. However, I recall when I started all this competing last year I was a super minimalist and ran my Panthera completely stock and had great results, which is to say that in its stock form this DRS will already be competitive, as well, and without adding any weight. In any case I can't deny it'd be nice if it came with a few of those chassis weights. Up to the user here, though, apparently.
About the power, this is what I saw. Seems like a pretty reliable source, if ya know what I mean?

For the record I am shooting 30 grain Javelins at 985 out of my Panthera, and I would consider myself pretty competitive at that 65fpe tune. So I wouldn't worry about power being an issue with the DRS - it can easily do 65+ from what I'm seeing online. Will it be more powerful than the Panthera and its giant plenum? Probably not. Will it still have way more than enough power to excel in NRL22? Absolutely.
I wish the cocking handle was beefier I’ll probably just grab one on eBay there’s a guy that makes a nice one on there Hopefully it doesn’t touch the chassis. Also I’ve noticed there’s so many different versions of this rifle I’ve seen like three different pictures of it talking about the pro I feel like there’s been some Photoshop going on or something I really want to see the production model please FX come out with a breakdown video on your official YouTube page !NEW PRODUCT RELEASE !

At indoor 10 meter competitions we have a lot of air rifles moving to and from the line during relays and sitting on the tables uncased being prepped. We use Open Barrel Indicaters, Weed Wacker plastic line, that extends from breech to muzzle and protrudes 2 to 3 inches out of both the chamber and muzzle so that everyone can see the rifle is indeed incapable of launching a projectile.Oh, and random thought for some states...
I hope the plenum "magazine" is removable. It may not apply to all states or in Sweden, but this could potentially lead to a fun conversation with a LEO that this is not a magazine...
We all know it's not a real magazine but for example, in my state, we cannot transport firearms unless the magazine is removed. I somewhat cringe at the thought of carrying this one around at a primarily powder range between stages since it 'looks' like I'm ready to rock. I'll call this...visual perception misinterpretation waiting to happen.
I don't mind this idea--thread some line with big flags, would be pretty darn visible then. That's just my concern, the visual misinterpretation. It's not like this is a slim profile feature, it's the size of a modern magazineAt indoor 10 meter competitions we have a lot of air rifles moving to and from the line during relays and sitting on the tables uncased being prepped. This may be the solution for carrying an FX DRS between stages uncased.
From influencer commentary, there were some slight adjustments made to fit into the chassis but claim you can drop a standard barreled action into it. Wasn't clear if any adapters would be needed.I wonder if fx based the DRS on a traditional powder burner like a Remington, or if it is totally one off. Meaning will it be easy for other chassis builders to make their own versions of the MDT DRS chassis.

No flags are needed. Competitors use the thinnest line and cut it long enough so that the line curls at each end. Red Weed Wacker line is the best for being seen at a distance, yellow is very hard to see.I don't mind this idea--thread some line with big flags, would be pretty darn visible then. That will not happen, i find bitcoin silly.
