Fx Impact filling and Bar help

Hello there

I got my .25 Impact a few days ago and i am very happy with it so far. I also got the Fx four stage pump.
I did get a mag with modified oval outhole. Otherwise none of the other problems i have been reading about.
I know about the small Bar dials margin of error. But, when the bottle dial on the gun says 250 Bar the pump
dial says 230 Bar. Well i am a PCP newbie so i rather ask you guys then blow my baby up.

So should i trust the pump and go to 250 Bar?

Dollars to donuts the gauge on your Impact is reading too high. If you have another rifle, hook you pump up to it and see if the same pressure differential is present or not. If not, it's definitely your Impact's gauge.

For what it's worth, the gauge on my Impact reads 50 bar too high. I dropped my Impact off at AoA on Tuesday so they could replace it.

DO find another airgunner and compare gauges. You aren't very likely to "explode" your rifle with a hand pump but as none of the tiny gauge has a stellar reputation you need to compare to something quality then just remember ( or put a small piece of pin stripping tape on the gauge face or?) .
Years ago ( Blue pump) I purchased my second FX hand pump after using one for years, filled everything in the House that day, several big-bore, a Titan, Bam, others. THEN, click, click, click ugh. Pump gauge read LOW, 60 bar low, I had filled all my airguns to 260bar instead of 200, cost me one valve stem.

Thanks guys for sharing your experiences. My problem is that i have nothing to compare with. No other pcp gun, i dont even know anybody that do.
Well i am ok with converting pressure when it's only 20 bars or so, but as yours travels4fun 50 bars off is not ok on a brand new gun.

Another question for Impact owners... Did your gun have the valve control knob installed?
Or as in my case with a alan key screw with a removable plastic cover.

I put into google maps your location and the FX plant (542 35 Mariestad, Sweden). Google says it's a 2hr, 52 minute drive. It's up to you, but it might be a good idea to just take it right to them. I know that it is definitely a relatively long drive, but if they can't fix/repair/replace it then no one can. Just some food for thought. But I agree 50BAR is definitely pretty far off. My Wildcat .25 is 12BAR off and that bothers me.
