HW/Weihrauch HW45 Cocking Levers Fail

I got a HW45 that the cocking levers pull out from the two slots when trying to cock.
I have two new levers coming from UK.
The ends of the existing levers are both worn.
Has anyone ever heard of this?

Interesting.. when you get the new parts do a side by side pictures to show the worn vs the new . Honestly don't guess I see this but ? Heavy use and no lube I guess it could happen .

At least you got replacement stuff unlike most you'd be just sol.

yes, the problem has been written about but mainly on a UK forum and sometimes the piston will need replacing also if the cocking arms have damaged it enough

Yes I thought maybe the compression tube, but I did not think the piston.
Cheapo repair gun has become more expensive.
Deeper down the rabbit hole I go...
