I feel the same way about the whole DRS lineup, one step closer to regulation. These are not firearms, why make Rem 700, AR15 clones???
I love AR-15's, FREEDOM machines!

I bring this up simply for the fact that a large percentage of buyers may Not know the difference between what is a "competition" version versus a StockI really don't understand this argument. In most competitions...things are not left 'stock'. In motocross... factory riders usually have better equipment than the guys without sponsors.
Why would FX get criticized for this? Other manufacturers could do the same thing. Why is FX the bad guy for trying harder?
To me, this new DRS Tactical is a 'novelty' rifle, not to be taken seriously for any particular shooting discipline. If it was semi-auto fire function that would change everything about this new rifle.
My favorite coyote hunting firearm is an AR that I built specific for the task. The primary advantage of an AR platform stems from the fact that fast follow-up shots are available. An AR platform rifle that is bolt/lever action is just a different form of a 'standard' rifle. Personally, for a woods hunting rifle I find the standard DRS Classic more desirable.
At first I didn't read the ad, thought it wouldn't include anything useful other than "game changer, revolutionary..." Stuff, I think it has three benefits, price, weight and looks which can be a proper trouble maker in my country though, however it lacks in the shot count and will only shoot slugs out of the 700mm version which defeats the whole "looks" thingy, it looks good in 500 and maybe 600mm versions. The spec sheet specifically says this rifle is geared towards pellets with the slightly smaller plenum and changes to air flow and such from a standard DRS.
This guy is a cancer to the forum. Clearly he doesn't understand the definition of innovation.Just a DRS with a different dress on. Calm down…lol hardly innovative
Power settings are adjustable, just not externally adjustable. You have to remove the stock and such. Watch the videos that are coming out. And by watching those videos, most all of them are shooting 18gr at that speed from the factory.Regulated non adjustable power settings, I think CF tube is optional purchase and it comes stock with alu tube 230bar, I dont know whats the price to switch it CF.. no info about plenum but does it matter if its fixed to one power setting idk, .22 15.8gr around 880fps. I think thats it.
But not enough large for long slugs again...I like that the mag is low enough not to interfere with any scope mounts you choose allowing ultimate scope flexibility.
It isn’t mean to be a slug gun, so why would they make updates to accommodate that? They have stated it is geared towards pellets. They have been really stressing “purpose built” rifles the last several years. But not enough large for long slugs again...![]()
