Is there a noticeable difference between the 600mm and 700mm Impact??

I ordered the 600mm .25 M3 and I plan on shooting mostly slugs.

I didn't want a long rifle, but the more I think about it....100mm longer isn't all that much and you get the 5800cc bottle. (I bought the 600mm carbon fiber barrel sleeve but I guess I could sell it) 

Anyway, PERFORMANCE-WISE is there a palpable difference between the two?? I have seen compacts shoot 200+yards so I know the 600mm is more than capable of that as well. So I honestly do not know what difference the longer barrel would make.

Yes. What you have to push a 500mm to do, a 600mm will do easily. Same goes for the 600mm vs the 700mm. I gave up years ago trying to make short barrels do what long barrels do in their sleep. If you want to be happy with a 600mm, take what it gives you and be happy. If you are the type that’s always chasing that speed or power rabbit, get a 700mm. Then there is nothing left in the tank when it comes to that part of your gun.

Definitely will get an increase in fps at the same regulator pressure.

My .22 65fpe tune gets cut down to 50fpe going from 700 to 500mm FWIW

100 mm just shy of 4 inches. On average, each additional inch will give between 15 and 20 fps. In a high power set-up, 25 fps is possible. 

There can be a trade off in accuracy, as the shorter bbl. for a given dia. the stiffer it is and less effected by harmonics.

my 600mm superior has been better in accuracy and just 21fps less in speed than my 700 superior.

same situation from my crown mk2..... i like the 600's performance better on both rifles using NSA 24.8gr dbhp

There is a noticable different when carrying the gun in one hand along your side, or moving it around in your car.

600mm is the sweet spot I think but it depends one what you’re trying to get out of it. Capability wise, my 600mm barrel will shoot 33.5 NSA over 1000fps, though I have it tuned around 940, what weight slug are you going to be shooting? Depending on your requirements, heavier slugs at the same speeds will need the longer barrel.

Holy moly!! 

At best scenarios you will get 50 fps, most of ammo the difference is 30~40 fps.

If you shoot them both at same velocity you will get around 25% more shots, less recoil and quieter with 700mm. 

600mm is more sturdy and you will less likely get poi shifts, it also easier to tune due to less harmonics. Way better if you shoot in your truck.

Imo 600mm is the sweet spot .
