Taipan Slash

I haven't used any Taipans but what I gathered from this forum the Veteran series are some of the best in performance and quality, and they were selling them for cheaper than the same level of gun made by the competetion, so I would say this one must be a huge leap in the design and performance for them to put a price like this on it.
I can't wait to see the slug performance and reliability of it.

I'm sure you'll see soon. So far I can only say that the slug shooting is very accurate.

Latest tidbits I got are enticing. The valving system claims are very efficient for the power yield. 40-50 shots at highest power settings in each caliber. I was interested in 30 cal version and Marek I believe his name is mentioned that model would utilize a LW barrel, not poly. Taipans website mentions CZ barrels. So, not sure if that is for 25 cal and smaller. Cost will be $2350-$2450 depending on version and barrel length.
Numbers like that are just never going to happen. I wish they would. On a repeater maybe, on a good day, with less than max power.
Semi auto uses more air no matter how the reloading is actually done.
Maybe they're about to rewrite laws of physics. This is exciting.

Part of me says, "This is too good to be true(looking at the competition).", and the other part says, "I don't know enough to make hard judgments."; But the physics are the same, so I worked out the total energy stored in a 300cc container with 300bar of pressure, which turns out to be 9119 Joules, which if we devide by 50 shots we get 182 Joules per shot and 228 Joules if we devide by 40; That is if there were NO loss in the Energy transmission line (planum, valve, transfer port, etc), but of course there is, so let's give that extra 42 to 48 Joules of energy to the LOSS department and call it a day.
Now it seems more reasonable, 50 shots for .22cal and 40 shots for .30cal

Okay, I should stop now. I have this habit of not talking and then just talking forever.
Have a great day.

Did you factor in the regulator pressure?
The 300cc bottle will drop pressure rapidly. You would need more than 150bar to keep things going.
Good math though.

The price is high on this model, but man a .30 Tactical with 420mm barrel would really fit the bill. I like that they are shipping with a slug and a pellet mag.

Re: shot count - I will only assume that the listed shot count is at a moderate tune. Max tune figure one magazine - at least with the Mora pushing 120 fpe in .25 I get one magazine of 15 shots - and that's with a 700cc air tank.
