Sudden onset inaccurracy - Benji Trail NP2

Fair enough. I wasn't trying to be a dick. The 95 and 30 are favorites of mine and between the two I could live without my other air rifles I if had to. I hope you get your rifle fixed fine in short order.
Be well
Ron
No prob, the Benji Trail NP2 was my first airgun. It shoots good for an air gun of it's value. Want to keep it for sentimental reasons if anything.

Don't trust the BS about gas Rams not being as smooth shooting as spring guns. I have a BSA lightning GRT. It has the smoothest shot cycle I have ever seen in a Springer or gas ram from the factory. It has a decidedly better shot cycle than most of my tuned spring guns.
My R9 is actually marginally smoother than the NP2. Accuracy is similar, at least out to 25 yards at my skill level. Certainly no sproing, slam, buzz with a gas piston. It's more of a thud. R9 trigger is certainly better than the NP2. No real first/second stage on the NP2 trigger.

Will be doing a take down once I pick up a spring/ram compressor. Will look for that kind of stuff, thanks.
I use this type

If not compressing a spring it can clamp lots a other projects.. ( just be sure if a 24" is enugh you can get like a 34" .. i got 2 of each for project usage)

I got mine from home Depot . But if harbor was more local i guess it would of been just as good on my gun use.

Good luck and hope its a simple matter

It almost appears to have resolved itself when I shot it again today. Mentioned it earlier, if anything it seems more powerful with heavy pellets. There's a Home Despot a half mile from where I live so that's the tool I have in mind. A 24' should be ample for any conventional break barrel configuration.

Its a good feeling being able to work through an issue and get a good result. Both my Titans kept me very busy at times trying to work out the issues. From pivot bolts to pivot shims to jam springs, breach seals, triggers, piston seals and breach seals those two rifles kept me busy in the shed a lot. Not to mention scopes that died along the way. I finally sold the 177 as it had killed too many scopes. To tame my 22 cal Titan I fitted it with a lesser powered Gamo gas ram. It punched out the FTT’s at a smooth 700 fps and was a pleasure to cock. Like you, I really like this rifle, it keeps me interested.
As for your problem, pulling your rifle down is a very good start, after shooting it for 6 years a new piston and breach seal probably wouldn’t go astray. let us know how you go.
