What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

I am really liking this Izzy 46M! The more I shoot it the more I dig it! Here’s today’s target outdoors at 25 yards offhand with 2 hand hold. Shooting JSB Match 7.33 at 446 fps.

Hello @Gwelo

Very nice looking outfit and your accuracy is excellent. Is that a RedDot scope?

would love to find a "factory " sight to shoot at . . For a short time i had an indoor 50 yard (heat/Air cond.) aisle to shoot in at a friends factory but he changed his mind about Air guns in his life .

Hello @ThomasT! Thank you so much for your comments.

Yes, it is an UltraDot MatchDot II. I have astigmatism and often see dots as comets ☄️. The UDot is clear to my eye for some reason. It’s kinda big and weighs 5 oz but manageable as I shoot with 2 hands. It’s pretty popular with the Bullseye crowd which was a good endorsement. It has a lot of features.

@beerthie ..right, I was lucky to have this space , if I move all the junk to one side I can get about 85 yard however Im still outside though, I hope I can find an abandoned bldg with over 100 yards indoors , I let you know 😅👍

Well I got a little bored today so I decided to put the original barrel sight back on my RWS 45. They are actually nice sights. They have a spring loaded system that allows you to rotate the notches and choose between 4. 2 square bottom and 2 round bottom. I ended up liking the largest round bottom notch the best. Here’s my best 5 shots at 46 feet. For a 69 year old progressive bifocal wearing shaky old coot I was pretty pleased 😀

Not bad "For a 69 year old progressive bifocal wearing shaky old coot" . Really i am impressed @ 46 feet iron sights . i am 10 years older and i would be very pleased with my self with a score like that .

Went to Walmart this morning and got a Daisy 880 to fool around with. I’ve read that they can be decent shooters. I put my Williams Peep on it and figured out a pellet it likes out of what I had on hand. I did the tape mod on the barrel that the Daisy fans recommend but the trigger mod I held off on for the time being as I found it totally predictable even as heavy as it is. Here’s 5 at 46 feet using 5 pumps. Probably as close as I’ll ever get to a PCP😁 Not bad for a 50 dollar rifle I don’t think. I’m sure it is capable of better accuracy yet for a better shooter than me. Might try a scope on it at some point

good shooting with the new gun

I tried to talk myself out of buying it. I thought to myself you already own one of the most accurate springers ever made but there is just something about taking a cheap dime store rifle and seeing how accurate it can be. Daisy hit a home run with these rifles. They made an accurate and affordable rifle for people to enjoy with out laying out a bunch of cash. Kudos to them.

Hi guys
Needed some prectice for match coming up in May, so it was range time
Had my target at 100yards and was shooting my Epoch .22
I would call this an average day ...not the best..not the worst...but i will definitely be getting more range time in before the match
the middle far left target is where i saw i needed to clean the barrel..then shot the target next to it ..yep, it was leaded up
Have a great weekend!
probably back at the range tomorrow

What is tape mod. Oldvet wants to know. If you do go to a PCP some day
Check out a good used one at Air guns of Arizona , and Airgun Revisions.
My first PCP was a Crossman 3622 lasted a week then I got a Barra 1100z from Wally World.

I just passed on one a couple months ago. I figured having an FWB 300 S I really didn’t need another 10 meter rifle. Still I kind of wish I’d of gotten it. I really like the idea of an SSP and don’t want to throw out 600 to a grand for one.
LW barrel , very accurate and light weight , and the guns are all rebuilt to spec's . Fun Fun ( good for kids too ) $ 134 to your door . Just say'n

The barrels of 880s are straw barrels that fit into the front sight bushing in the end of the barrel shroud. You tape the end of the barrel to make it snug in the bushing. Many are a loose fit that allows the barrel to move around.

Today I broke out the Twins
2 Barra 1100Zs. I shot 8 five shot groups each to sight them in a little better. Used my Tuxing Twin to fill to 3,000 psi. Took 2 minutes. The wind was blowing , and the fly's were flying.
Thay call that stress shooting , but I was having fun. 2 flyers from 80 shots.
