I've been helping someone setup their new HFT gun... we are setting up his dope using Strelock Pro for expediency
And then taking actual shots.

We've settled on JSB 13.4s moving at 815 FPS
Yep, there are (Exact and Redesigned)..... and we are going to compare both here

The Redesigned have a B.C. of .030 according to Strelock
the Exacts have a B.C. of .026 according to Strelock

Initially, as an oversight on my part.... i entered the Exacts info into the Strelock APP and created my dope with them, although i was actually shooting the Redesigns.

at 10 yards.... the Redesigns P.O.A. is 2.3 or 23 clicks Mrad.
at 10 yards.... the Exacts P.O.A. is 2.2 or 22 clicks Mrad.
i was suprised by the one click difference at 10 yards

I actually took 63 solid shots off a bench using the Exacts dope, while shooting the Redesigns; all target fell ( yes hole size varies ).

Here's the bet - where will you place your money?

If i put out a paper target at 55 yards and shoot 10 rounds of Exacts and 10 rounds of Redesigns using my "redesigned dope" and then "Exact dope" do you think I'll see a difference down range in my Point of Impact at 55 yards? Do you think the dope with the two differing B.C.'s will show up consistently down range? It's only math right?

Exacts dope says: 1.7 Mrad or 17 clicks at 55 yards
Redesigned dope says: 1.6. or 16 clicks at 55 yards

I have a HUMA regulator set to 140 BAR in my .22 700 Panthera. I shoot this rifle tethered to a Nuvair external regulator. Up to now, I've set the external reg to 250 BAR because the HUMA internal reg seems to recover faster with high bottle pressure. The question is: Does the internal HUMA reg respond better, considering both performance and wear, to a large pressure differential (250 BAR/140 BAR) or would it be better to turn the external reg down to say, 200 BAR.

Brand new CHKDIV (i know) compressor, first use connected to same inline filter setup ive been using. It seems great; quiet, charged the gun to 250 just fine, opened the press relief valve all (?) the air blew out quickli BUT, whip will not disconnect from gun. Obviously pressure remaining in the,line? Anybody?

I have been studying rifles and scopes and reticules ect and im realizing that all of the info i studied is for normal guns with factory ammo that fire roughly the same fps and fpe every shot and all of the mobile apps are really technical and dont seem to apply to my setup at all, although an MOA is still and MOA so i figure this can still be done

my AEA megalodon 22in .58 cal is not even regulated but for the first few shots its roughly the same and is strong enough for 100 yard deer hunting but im not sure how to make dope card that will be reliable in the field so that i will know what moa adjustments i to make once i know the range of my target

I dont yet have a chronograph to test my fps so i would for now rely on youtube videos where they shoot the same exact gun and same exact ammo to get my average fps of 750 with a 335 grain slug with the scope zeroed in at 50 yards

I might be missing something as all of this is pretty new to me, anyone here have hunting or 100+ yard shooting experience with these big bore airguns ?

what kind of cheat sheet can i make so i can quickly and accurately take a shot at 100 yards or 150 if my scope is zeroed in at 50 yards, or zeroed in at 100 yards and i wanna take the shot at 50 yards or maybe im on a hill and deer is 200 yards out maybe thats possible with this gun im not sure yet more testing needed, any wisdom shared will be greatly appreciated thanks

I’m personally biased towards the Brocock Bantam Sniper/BRK Sniper platform. I think it’s an outstanding platform based upon my experience owning a Bantam Sniper HR for years now. I’m curious as to why I’m seeing so many BRK Saharas for sale? Are Sahara owners not enjoying this air rifle? If not, please explain its shortcomings or where you were disappointed. I’m interested in your experiences.

I have a Selkhmet gauge on my FX impact mark three, which when I tried to charge it today battery said it was at 20% after leaving it charge for approximately 25 minutes. I went down and looked at it. The battery shows one bar and the gauge is completely stuck. Won’t do anything can’t cancel. It can’t can’t charge it nothing .This is like the second time this gauge has given me a problem. The first time it did something that wouldn’t let it go off of whatever pressure it was on for the price of this gauge I would think it should be much better. I’m half tempted to put the original gauge back on the gun and be done with it. Any ideas as to what could be wrong?

I know the pellets vs slugs discussion has probably been beaten to death (slugs for long range, pellets for closer). Wondering if pellets will take out a coyote with a head shot relatively close range. Appreciate any suggestions.

I am looking to upgrade to something a little lighter than my ATN 4K with the ABL attached. I looked at the ATN 5K with LRF refurb but it had problems so I sent it back and dont think I want to go that route. So I came across these two and wondering if its worth almost twice the price to go thermal or maybe another manufacturer in the same price range. Looking of a solid platform and no quirky bugs.

After a few months of back and forth I finally ordered my first. I need something for protecting my chicken coop and targets for sure.
I decided on the Air Venturi Avenger 25 Bullpup 2. They had a 12% off promo putting the gun less than $400.
I'm curious what the community thinks? Compared to an FX or similar this rifle seems to have 90% of the gun for 20% of the cost.
Is that a fair statement? Given my level of green, this seems like a great place to start. I guess I'm mostly just looking for some reassurance that I made a good decision.
