Thursday and Fridays retrieved iguanas.

I believe the recovered count for Friday was at 63, with a total of 81 removed. 41 of which were poop in the first 2 hours at a public park that I have been granted permission to do the removal. And the rest were throughout the day, of which the 108yd and 110yds shots were from. I also took an iguana at 144yds but there was no way to recover hence, no post was made. On this day I primarily used my M3 .177 due to having a vast range of distances to shoot from

On Thursday I used the Notos primarily and I recovered about 45 and my buddy recovered another 73, he did a tour and some other locations of his.

Recommend a rifle

Need a new air rifle to replace an old airforce condor ss, regulated with 4500 psi tank. A 14.3 grain pellet at 950 fps does the trick. I shot from a tri pod. Have tank, air supply and a tin or two of 22/14.3 grain pellets. I would like to keep shooting Diablo style pellets. Where I shot and need to has developed over the years. I feel like a slug would be the same as a 22lr.

FX  Just received my new FX King

Well, I finally decided to go with the FX King in 30 caliber after going back and forth for probably 6 weeks or so trying to decide between numerous. Probably an influence as to me decision was I also own the FX contiuum in 25 caliber. I have been shooting woodchucks here in western Pennsylvania this year out to around 110 yards and have been experiencing a recovery rate of them probably in the 50% range. I always try to practice disposing of them as quickly as possible. It seems at that range clean kills were hard to achieve for myself, and that is why I decided to go to a bigger caliber. So yesterday, (9-7-24), my rifle arrived from Utah Airguns. So I take it outside and load up a few Zan slugs that I paid Utah Airguns 100 bucks to specially tune the rifle to. I touch off a round and WOW!! was it LOUD!! Firing a few more I realized that this was not going to be anything near to the report of my FX 25 caliber. Now, I figured that it would be a bit louder but I would bet that the report was three times that of my 25. I could definitly feel that this was a bit more than I thought it would be. So now I need to tame this beast. I mean with a moderator. So my question to you shooters is this. Length and weight probably will not affect my decision because my woodchuck hunting is basically from a bench. I would like to hear about what you think I should add to the barrel to quiet this beast down. There is so many out there.
Thanks!

How to store unmounted scopes in gun safe/

I have a couple different StackOn gun cabinets that are pretty full with misc. airguns/guns and assorted accessories. I have kept a few unmounted scopes in here too but they were delicately balanced against other stuff. I go to great lengths to avoid scratches on my firearms/optics so need to find a better way. I still want to keep them in one of the cabinets but don't have a shelf long and wide enough to lay them out flat and individually. I'm wondering if anybody has a neat way of storing scopes that leverage any of the wasted wall space?

PCP Pistol  NLA Ataman AP-16 .22 *reduced*

Pistol is in great condition. It is the standard version. Comes with Donny fl tanto, one mag, spare air cylinder, fill probe and tools. Scope is not included. $900 $850 shipped. Zelle, Venmo, cashapp or PayPal accepted.

If you want the scope make me an offer I can’t refuse. Scope is a beeman blue ribbon 2x pistol scope.

Affirm denied a bipod purchase at AOA.

I'm irritated with Affirm. AoA has really earned my business. I really wanted an accu-tac F5 and Affirm said no because, they say, that Airguns has the word guns in the name so basically I can pound sand.

I went to eBay just to see if it would work. The vendor was called "The Gun Company" and it worked fine.

I called affirm and said, I'm not buying a gun I'm buying an aluminum stick. She didn't care. Anyway I feel like a turd for not supporting our spot but hopefully this crap can get sorted out.

Lighter the better?

Hey there, I was talking to a couple gentlemen at a Rio match a couple months ago. One guy was telling me the lighter JSB exacts would be more accurate for the benchrest. The second guy readily agreed.

I am shooting .30 Delta Wolf.
Is there some reading I can do on why this might be or is there a simple answer. There was a persistent 5mph wind but it was blowing from every direction and the wind seemed like it was either all the way on or all the way off. Not sure if that is relevant.

PCP Rifle  NLA FX panthera .30

This started out as a 500mm and was cut down to fit a shorter shroud. I haven’t measured the barrel length but it’s around 360mm I’d guess, shorter than a factory .30 hunter compact. It’s currently tuned to shoot hades around 830 fps but has plenty of room to go up. Shoots hades/atomic pellets under an inch at 100 yards. Gun does have nicks, dings and wear marks. Functions flawlessly. Comes with an element helix 6-24x50 SFP scope zeroed at 55 yards, DonnyFL FX mod, 2 mags and FX hardcase. Will also include 5 sealed tins of FX atomic pellets. Not splitting up. $1600 shipped east of the Mississippi River.

Have you ever seen this moderator?

Buddy of mine just bought an Avenger, which turned out to be a fantastic shooter. It had this moderator on it. It's honking big, and works well, and obviously accuracy isn't a problem.
It looks 3D printed with a metal insert, and has absolutely terrible alignment, which is hard to show in the pics, but if it wasn't for a very large caliber, then it would surely clip pellets. Thankfully, this rifle is .177.
No markings, and says made in Taiwan.
Just curious about it.

FX  Any tips for getting this sealed

1725818840081.png

Tried 5 times now. First I couple of tredo (rubber -steel washer) from work. Didnt seal.
used seal with loctite thread sealing = didnt work
Bought 3 washers directly from FX to be sure it was the exact same type+ loctite thread seal and let it rest for 24h for the loctite to react. Didnt work

Should there be thread tape or something. Also the inner thin lip on the tredo always breaks. Even when greasing it before it breaks.
But I also know that lip isnt importand for sealing. Its the outer lips that seals.

I have looked at the bottle adapter with microscope and it looks fine. No scraches or cracks.

What am I doing wrong. Is this a known problen so there is an upgraded adapter on newer models with oter type of sealing or something?

The gun is a Impact MK1

Karma  Waiting for SLS

I am really wanting a semiauto to shoot and hunt with. I would love a leshiy 2 but not spending that kind of money. I heard that the are on a boat headed this way so I will see what people who get a hold of it think. I would like the 22. I want actual hunters to review not YouTubers who are associated with the company where bias comes in play.

Anyone waiting as well?

HW/Weihrauch  HW97K "fussy" barrel might’ve been more a case of me being a bit fussy myself!

IMG_7665.jpg

After a good bit of fun doing some proper pellet testing with my HW97K .177 sub12, I’ve discovered something rather amusing. When I first got it, around 12 years ago, it was seemingly only fond of JSB 8.44gr pellets—or so I thought. But I reckon the real issue back then was probably my technique, because now it’ll happily send pretty much anything pictured sub-MOA out to 40 yards. That said, the Heavies are the real show-offs, with pinpoint accuracy that’ll make you feel like a sharpshooting genius. They really go the distance. In fact, I’ve gone a bit overboard and ordered 72 tins from this batch...:ROFLMAO:

Moral of the story is in the title :)
