RTI  The RTI Arms MORA (Full Video Review) w/ Altaros 40gr ATP Kings .22 Slugs @ 100 yd.

rtimorareview.jpg

This RTI Arms Mora from TALON TUNES was shooting 1318 FPS when I unboxed it. I threw some 40gr Altaros ATP Kings slugs in there, no tuning, and I haven't missed a shot yet...at ANY distance. The best airgun ever? I'm not sure. I want to see this thing shoot pellets! This will definitely be unlike any PCP you have ever seen. Thanks for watching! -Nate

What driveway dinger?

Good morning,

I am needing a driveway dinger for the coons here at the house. Just something to mount on a Tpost or something. It will be basically in my backyard probably 30yds. I am going to bait them they are robbing the coop and I'm not sitting all night so need some help. I don't need a fancy one I will be well within range for the part that plugs in inside the house. Just wanting something weatherproof. I will probably take it down when I'm not using the bait station. Going to give the pard some use

Thanks
Jon

HW/Weihrauch  Green 97 at 50 yards

I've been on a 50 yard kick lately because 25 gets boring quickly. I shot these groups with my 177 Green Hw97. They're shot left to right then top to bottom. Most groups are 10 shots. The circled ones are where I stopped at five because I didn't want to mess them up. There was a light shifting breeze but ironically my groups suddenly tanked at the end when there was no wind.

The last three groups were shot after giving me and the gun a break because the last group prior went tragically wrong immediately after a good one. Apparently it didn't help. Anyway like always here's the whole page. Now you can see why I don't like cherry picked groups.

Be well all.
Thanks for looking.
Ron

Western Airguns  All Things Western Rattler 357 & 45 - Master Thread

The Western Rattler in 357 & 45 caliber's master thread (inspired by @Ezana4CE) for the owner's and prospective owner's to compile, read, and search for good information on the Western Rattler big bore. Looking for some postage help USA to UK

I have recently bought a PP750 (as a direct result of reading on here). I'd like to fit a shortened FX CF barrel and shroud and was hoping to use C88 machining barrel holders as a starting point. I've been in touch and although happy to supply what I need C88 Machining don't export. I was wondering if anyone would be prepared to have them sent to their address and forward these to me in the UK. I would obviously cover all costs and could pay by paypal transfer in $. I would also be happy to do the same if there is anything that you struggle for in the USA. Obviously I am not wanting or trying to circumvent any laws.

Crosman  Pistol Accuracy Goals?

Hi all,

Just recently got back into shooting my 1322 and was wondering what accuracy goals were appropriate with pistols?

IMG_4888.jpeg

I work from home and had 15 minutes to kill on a coffee break and banged out this group at 10m. I’m not an old pistolero, just a rifleman looking to broaden the horizon.

So what kinda groups are you fellas looking for? 2moa? 1?

Thanks in advance,

Delta

Which would you prefer and why?

If FPE is similar, which would you prefer a lighter pellet moving faster or a heavier pellet moving slower. Inside 30 yards (my backyard) let's say for pesting. Gauntlet gen 1. .22 caliber.

I currently can push your standard CPHP 14.3 around 950. I bought a couple tins of Apolo slugs (21 grains and 25 grains). The 25 grains I got up to 700 fps, the 21 750'ish. I have no real need for the slugs. I'm just playing around trying to see what's the highest FPE I can get with this setup. Maybe i should try a pellet heavier than 14.3 CPHP....

Just thinking out loud.

Practice

I recently purchased a HW95N in .20cal. The purpose of this particular gun is to practice shooting without a bench or scope. Its fairly light weight and well balanced, easy to shoulder and more accurate than me at the moment. I have a trap setup at 25yards and some 4inch shoot n see's. I am using a Williams peep and Globe with the small circle insert.
I have been shooting from a standing position (unsupported) and keeping all my shots inside the shoot n see grouping about 3inches. I try to take at least 20 shots every day and hope to shrink my groups to about 2inches before extending my target another 10 yards. Any of you shoot like this?

Lessons Learned....

I'm still relatively new to PCPs, but I'm starting to feel not so new. Over the weekend I reflected upon some things I've observed on the forums and I've been thinking about them. I couldn't understand why some guys thought and acted the way that they do until recently. Now I see some of what some of you all tried to explain to me about how this community operates when I was fairly new. I see how I pissed off some folks early on. Some will stay pissed off and that's just how it will be.

Anyhow, I'm starting to understand and appreciate our older members a lot more. By older I'm talking about the folks in the 70s and 80s. I think it's great to see septuagenarians and octogenarians with hobbies that keep their minds and bodies active. Even more so, hobbies that allow them to interact with others. Something else I've been thinking about is being an airgunnner during the pandemic afforded me some lessons that I don't know how I'd have gotten them otherwise. I wasn't closed in during that period except for when I was ill or had to quarantine because co-workers or trainees may have come to work ill, but for the people that were, their time online taught me a number of things. Now, I'm just not seeing the same type of activity on the forums and that's ok. But there is a marked difference between then and now. Some great members have come and gone. Some have passed away and others have had serious life issues arise. I still think about some of these people and I'm grateful that their contributions are still archived in the AGN forums. It's funny how people used to ride me for insisting that others search for answers to their questions. If some of you have read what I've read or seen what I've seen you may better understand. I'm going to jump out on a limb here and say that I think I have read a lot more on these forum than the average member, so my perspectives and responses will be a reflection of that claim. One thing I can't stress enough, that pandemic period taught me a lot about different facets of airgunning and the information is still here. It would be a lot to type if one were to ask me "well what exactly did you learn?" You just had to have been here or you have a lot of reading to do on these forums. The funny thing is I'm still green in several areas. Thank you to the many members that have helped me get this far. Just some thoughts here.

Taipan  Taipan Vets new role ... small bore pester extraordinaire !

After a couple years fiddling around with this sweet rig, Field target to Field plinker, even a .20 cal for a spell.
It was happiest as it came to me in .177 caliber, tho the pellet/s it shot best kind of went sideways from the norm  having it shoot JSB 10.3's @ 890-920 just ok, JSB 13.4's @ 800-850 really well, but JSB 8.4's flying out at 1000 fps was extraordinary !!!
Now I'm talking sub MOA at 50 yards and inside 35 near hole in hole !! even out to a tested 80 yards no spiraling appears to be present.
This for a light little 8.4 pill really got my attention. Tho wind drift no doubt will be a tad more shot this fast, but the accuracy in calm conditions just makes you smile big time & thus we shall feed it what it likes best.

As to the set up, Yes the action has been internally tweaked on as are all my personal guns ;)
Out on end of barrel a 5" Niel Clague LDC making the noise silly quiet.
Hand grip wrapped in bike grip tape for XXL size hands.
Up top a Zero eye relief IMMERSIVE 14x50 with an added 50mm Argos/Talos BTR sunshade. ( Yea it screws right on, tho O.D. a tad greater ) unknown mfg side wheel adapted & range scaled 6-84 yards.
Inclineometer and cant bubble level reside under it with a fold away D.O.P.E. holder on left side.
11 loose pellets in a foam holder attached via velcro for SST use & fill probe in holder on the right

What a damn sexy rig and so fun to shoot ...

Just a share for your viewing pleasure.

I like these! Crosman Premier...

I have to tell you, what a beautiful morning it was in mid Missouri to do some shooting. Very slight wind from the West and mid-60s for the temperature. Anyway, on a whim, I bought a container of crosman premier domed ultra heavy 19 grain pellets just to see how they would do. I'm really impressed! When you look at the picture the top Target was 30 yards and the bottom Target was 50 yards. If you take into account on the top Target the ones that are a little high was my mistake in siding and the ones a little to the left on the bottom Target was just me getting my dope dialed in. Granted, I'm shooting from a day state unregulated huntsman Revere which is a very good gun but I absolutely got a thrill out of shooting these things. Was wondering if anyone else shoots these and what your impression is?
