Received Pellets and Slugs from Bullet Central

I just received 6 tins of pellets and 2 box's of slugs from Bullet Central.
Not only were they less expensive than my usual source, but they were received very fast, and MOST importantly, they were boxed very profesionally.
Plenty of padding between the bubble wrapped pellets and slugs and then everything was padded inside the heavy duty box from all directions.
Outstanding job Bullet Central!

PCP Rifle  NLA Ataman M2R .357 or Trade $700

Selling rifle with 1 mag, fill probe, 9 tins of polymags and about 100 rounds of hybrids. Rifle puts 146fpe max and give you 14 shots from 300b to 205b. It loves hybrids and polymags, I was going to primarily use it for yotes, but it's a bit cumbersome for me.

Moderator not included, the yokozuna does not work well with this gun unless you use 2 of the short baffles.

Has a few scratches from use.

Selling for $700 shipped.

Obviously WE love competing - If you're a competition shooter, come shoot with us in April at the Northeast Airgun Classic (registration opens Feb 5th).

This fall we had tags in several different states and wanted to get a deer in each one.

We also had a GREAT time shooting an Airgun vs Fruit video for our YouTube channel a couple of months ago.

So tell us, what do YOU use your airgun for?

How to Build an Indoor Shooting Range for Airguns

1705525244882.png

When the weather turns against you, setting up an indoor shooting range can give you the same quality trigger time as the sunniest of days, but it does take some preparation to ensure proper shooting safety.

What constitutes a safe indoor shooting range? Well, it really depends on the airgun you're using. A safe setup for an airsoft gun will be different from a BB gun, and it will certainly be different than a setup required for high-power for pellet guns.

The Code of Safe Indoor Shooting

1. Never Forget Rule #1: Safety Glasses, Safety Glasses, Safety Glasses: A pair of safety glasses, can prevent a lifetime of disability and thousands of dollars in medical costs. Your eyesight is one of your most precious resources - don't compromise it. This includes anyone near the shooting area.

2. Never shoot with people, pets, or valuable objects downrange: This should be pretty self-explanatory.

3. Use BB/Pellet Traps and a Backer Board: Use BB/Pellet traps as your main target to prevent ricochets. Install a backer board for rounds that miss the trap to prevent damage to your home's walls.

4. Where to Shoot: Use a proper distance from your target, about 20ft from your muzzle to the target should do it.

Indoor Shooting Ranges for BB Guns

The lower power of most BB guns is an asset for indoor shooting, but be warned--this classic round is known for bouncing back against hardened targets. Overcome this problem with a proper BB trap and sufficient backstop. For added protection, use BBs like H&N Smart Shot which deforms on impact - or even better, Dust Devil Frangible BB's, that burst into a fine powder when they hit a hard target. Need more info? Use these guidelines for creating your perfect indoor BB range:

1. Shooting Location: Remember, you will need at least 20 feet from the gun's muzzle to the target.

2. BB Traps: Because BBs can bounce back, DO NOT USE a traditional firearm or pellet trap. Many BB traps use cloth curtains or other methods to prevent this. An excellent example is the Air Venturi BB Bandit Trap.

3. Backstop: We all miss sometimes. Make sure to install a proper backstop to ensure your inaccuracies don't blast off your basement wall. For BBs, a thin piece of plywood about 3x3ft behind your trap should do it.

4. Paper Targets: Anything much harder than a sheet of cardboard can send BBs bouncing back. In a small range paper targets are the only safe way to shoot BB guns indoors.

Indoor Shooting Ranges for Pellet Guns

More power requires more responsibility--especially with the speeds and power a pellet gun can generate. For this reason, a lot of care needs to be taken before shooting a pellet gun indoors. Pellets need longer ranges and specific FPS speeds. Use the guidelines below for creating your perfect indoor pellet range.

1. Distance: 10 meters (33 ft.) from muzzle to target is the ideal distance for shooting a pellet gun indoors. The reason? 10m is the same distance competition shooters use for honing their skills.Be sure to leave enough room for the pellet trap and backer board behind it.

2. FPS and Lead: Pellet guns that shoot at 600 fps or carry a very low list of lead contamination because the pellets won't fragment at that speed. Once speeds hit about 800 fps, lead pellets can fragment and create lead dust. Overcome this by using Lead-Free ammo or by keeping your speeds below 600 fps, our recommended FPS for indoor shooting.

3. The Best Pellet Traps are the Ones You Can't Hear: With traps such as the Air Venturi Quiet Pellet Trap, your round is trapped in a ballistic putty once they punch through the target. Once the putty has had it, buy a refill and keep the shots coming. Since the pellets impact the putty, the impacts are nearly silent!

4. Steel Traps: The steel pellet trap is the tried-and-true way to secure flying pellets indoors. Pyramyd AIR features dozens of pellet traps to stop flying lead safely and securely when you need it most.

5. Innovative electronic targets: And if you want to try something new - try the BadaBang interactive target connects to your smart phone via bluetooth and allows you to run competitions at home as well as compete against other BadaBang owners around the world. If you are looking for something different - you have to give this one a try!

BadaBang Airgun Target
6. Backer Board: You will still need a sturdy backer board for those inevitable misses and “fliers”. A 3x3ft board will do the job, but make sure it's thick enough by shooting it outdoors at the same distance you'll be shooting inside. We recommend ¾” plywood minimum.

Daystate  New to Delta Wolf - Questions

Hi,

Just got my hands on my new DW in .22 23" from AOA. They've also installed the latest software, and the (whatever it is called) new valve which is supposed to be more efficient. (Btw this is the USA model and setup.)

1. First thing first. I do not have a manual in the case. Is one not included? I was expecting a few hours of reading but no manual for me.

2. Next, I loaded the rifle up with some FX 18 gr and laters also some H&N predators 16 gr. I have noticed that every so often, after 6-8 shots, the rifle gently vibrates and will not shoot but the pellet is loaded. I am sure it is trying to tell me something. But basically I need to take the magazine out, and then it fires. I have also managed to load a pellet on top of another pellet twice now. I am wondering if I am doing something wrong, or is this specific rifle having feeding issues. I have only tried these two pellets. Any thoughts welcome.

Otherwise, the speed auto adjustment is really neat. 2-3 shots and I am dialed in. I only have 20 yards at home but that seams to be very accurate. My initial impression about the trigger, the way the factory settings is, is just very very light. I never had an electric trigger before but it is a bit weird.

Pellet weight drastically affecting accuracy?

So I have a gen 2 gamo swarm 10x. Love the gun. Got a scope for it finally and ive noticed after zeroing it in many times that there is a distinct inch to 2 inch vertical discrepancy between my gamo 15.2g/16.2/21g Pellets and my Crossman 14.3g Pellets. If I sight in with the Crossmans than my gamo Pellets hit low. If I sight in with my gamo Pellets then the Crossman hits high. About the same amount high or low for both. My question is there any way to make them both zero at the same spot? Or is it just pellet preference of my gun? I don't like to be held down by only using one pellet and can be confusing to remmeber wich ammo I last used to zero in the rifle. Can somone please lend some advice to me to fix this? Or tell me if this is just the way it is? At 10 yards it's predictable that one hits exactly an inch or so difference than the other. But at longer distances it becomes less predictable and I want to be able to accurately shoot different types of ammo or atleast not be limited to just one type.

Finally BUILT MY OWN dream Hunter Class rifle!

And it only tookforty-five years! No lie.

1705525222599.png

I started it in the 1970s when I got into vintage-collectable airguns, having been a serious airgunner for a quarter-century already. By then shooting NRA Airgun Silhouette competitions, I commissioned an old gunsmith in Fort Worth to build a custom stock to my specifications for a Crosman 160 Co2 rifle. He did a fine job, as you see.

Fast-forwarding about a decade, for some inexplicable reason I sold the custom-stocked 160 to a buddy in Dallas (Tom), who loved it so much he was holding it in every photo I saw of him on airgun forums until he passed away a few years ago. In the interim I captured titles and records with another Crosman 160 (a 1950s vintage Sears & Roebuck Ted Williams Match Rifle variant, no less), against the finest air rifles modern manufacturing and technology can muster, wielded by the best Sporter Class silhouette shooters in Texas and the U.S.

TW 160 trophies.JPG

In the same interim I'd also discovered the QB Chinese copies of Crosman 160s, been converting QBs and vintage Crosman Co2 guns to regulated-high-pressure air-bottle rifles and pistols, and capturing more State and National Champion titles with them (rifles, and pistol conversions).

187 Titles.jpg

When I read Tom had passed away I hoped the custom-stocked 160 would appear in the classifieds section. Lo and behold, a few months later it did! Although the stock was then on a QB, I jumped on it like sh...... you get the idea.;)

By the time Tom's beloved QB became mine again I'd accumulated a multitude of associated QB and Crosman parts and pieces. Among those parts was the barrel from my first QB, that had captured a National Champion title on one of my conversions-

AR Nats trophy.JPG

Although the award reads Second Place, since I was 'beaten' by a shooter now banned from AAFTA field target for cheating, it's actually a National Champion title.

Fast forwarding a couple more decades, I assembled the custom stock, National Champion QB barrel, and best of all other parts and pieces into an excellent Hunter Class field target rifle; unfortunately falling four foot-pounds short of my 19.99999 foot pound goal despite all the soup-up techniques I could muster. Nevertheless it prevailed against all comers in the only FT match I used it in, that included two other multiple National Champion title holders; one with at least one World Champion FT title.

1705531445855.png

Come Christmas 2023, a long-time buddy not only aware of much history you just read, but also a fellow airgunner, FT competitor, and QB modifier aware of my power short-fall surprised hell out of me with a Umarex Gauntlet Chrismas gift! The factory-regulated-HPA-bottle .25 Gauntlet's reg set at 1900 PSI, upon installing the Gauntlet reg on my custom-stocked QB the power jumped to 22+ foot pounds.

In searching for the secret to reducing the Gauntlet's Ninja reg output pressure to a 1500 PSI range I felt about right for my 20 foot pound goal, I discovered Ninja produces an adjustable reg model called the Flex; capable of externally adjusting over an 800 PSI range with it's supplied spanner. NO OTHER MONKEYING REQUIRED! :oops:o_O

Fast-reversing two decades, I once embarrassed another field target national champion while he was chronographing his Steyr by saying, "Let me take a few shots now" with my QB Co2 rifle converted to HPA bottle (above). He was not just surprised or embarrassed when the QB displayed extreme spreads of 3 and SDs less than 1 FPS to his Steyr's triple that, but MORTIFIED.😨😭

Fast forward back to TODAY. Upon installing my new Ninja Flex adjustable regulator, guessing at the adjustment for about 1500 PSI output, charging to 3000 PSI, and firing ONE shot to settle the reg, the next five shots with 10.3 grain FX JSBs went like this- Low= 955, High= 959, ES= 4, SD= 1, Average= 956. TOO hot.🔥

Six more shots that took two minutes to make three EASY adjustments later, the ten-shot string looks like this- Low=921, High= 927, ES= 6, SD= 1.7, Average= 923 FPS/19.5foot pounds.😁 BINGO!

In other words, it took all of ONE SHOT "break-in"😂 for the Ninja Flex regulator to outperform a well broken-in Steyr. The Flex sells for about $150. I'd tell you where I bought it, if I could recommend the seller. I can't. So I'll just say the Goggly lever is your friend.

I'll close this post with one comment to my Hunter Class FT competitors. Be afraid.

I lied...

Be VERY afraid!
