PCP Rifle  SOLD 22 Cricket tactical 45 wood $800 obo shipped

This was a well used truck gun I purchased from my airgun tuner who took it in on trade. It functions as it should, has no leaks, but is in well used condition(SEE PHOTOS). I taped the factory fill probe to the extra bottle so i woukdnt lose it, the bottle is good condition. I shot a handful of mags through it and prefer my tiapan so this must go to help fund more airguns! It comes with 4 mags, stock 45 bottle, currently has a cricket tactical 60 bottle installed which is also included, factory fill probe with extra probe orings. No box or paperwork. This has a foster fitting mod done so no more dealing with fill probes(although factory probe is included). I took as many pictures as I could to show the blemishes. If you have any questions feel free to ask. If you are looking for a cheap cricket to throw in the truck or just try out for a low cost, this might be for you. $800 obo shipped and insured through ups. Only trades I would consider is for taipan compact veteran, preferably in 22. I prefer paypal f&f or zelle but I will entertain other payment methods.

Beeman  R9 fun

A friend was shooting my S200 .177 PCP and marveled at the accuracy.
He said he had bought a German springer years ago but that it was lousy and he had given up on it.
I was delighted to see that it was a Beeman R9.
Anyway he let me take it home to try different pellets.
The main problem was the scope he had was awful and basically unusable.
I put on a bug buster scope and found it was a super accurate rifle.
It was dark so I just shot indoors at 7 yards from the recliner with the rifle balanced across my crossed knee.
What an awesome rifle!!
Can’t wait to try it out at 25 and 40 yards when it gets light.
I called to tell him the good news and told him that I would happily pay him $75 and a toothy smile for the rifle.
He passed on the offer 😲😑.
I’m definitely going to own one of these someday!

Air Venturi  Now that the Avenge X has barrel kits…FX liners?

Is it possible to innovate a housing that is capable of fitting an FX liner? Kind of like the L2…an adapter? Someone should make this. I would buy it.

Just don’t charge an inflated price please…

My idea: make a CF shroud with same OD as the Avenge insert and make the screw divots (probably don’t even need to). And then obviously the ID needs to PERFECTLY fit an FX liner. To secure the liner…well I guess you could sleeve retainer loctite the liner in. No shroud but you could probably work something out. This is my idea without possessing any machining equipment…it is doable.

Air Venturi  Avenge-X 22 cal. Pleasantly surprised

If you’ve seen any of my previous posts over the years, you know I’ve had a lot of air rifles of varying quality. Over the last couple, I sold many and lost interest in the sport. I have a couple, but they rarely get shot. I’ve had 3 Avenger in all 3 calibers. They are nice rifles for the money and easy to tune.
Fast forward to last week where I got the bug again and decided to gamble on an Avenge-X in 22. Knowing what expect from the Avenger I decided I would tune it to 18.13 grain and read up on settings and such.
Received the rifle last Saturday and pulled my scope off the Avenger for now and mounted on the new Avenge-X. Filled rifle to 4K psi.
Proceeded to chronograph and sight in. I expected it to have a hotter power setting from factory like the avengers did, but I was excited to see it shooting in the low 900 out of the box. First 5 shot group with JSB 18.13 was ok, but not great, but I know they get better as the barrel breaks in. Shot 4 mags and it didn’t get much better. I didn’t clean barrel yet, so hit it with Ballistol. Shroud came off much nicer than the avengers do. Shot two mags full to reseason barrel. Weird. Not as good as I expected. Then I remembered I had some H&N Barracuda 18.13 which were hit or miss in previous rifles. Pellets stacked at 25 yards. Big smile on my face.
Proceeded to refill with air and shoot some groups. 25 yards was boring so I shot some at 50 yards. Very impressed. Factory tune shot groups in the photo. 5 shot groups. BTW I’ve gotten 5 large capacity mags out of a fill, like advertised.
Your results may vary, but I’m stoked.

Umarex  Notos Bottle Conversion

Got this back from Firewalker yesterday. Due to rain, didnt do much with it other than look it over.

Really love the looks of it. Completely transformed the gun, in my eyes. Took it out today for sight in and it was impressively accurate. Left the factory tune on it and just barely sips the air. I will say that I wasnt happy with my scope choice and will throw a little cheap FFP on it with paralax adjustment so I can see clearly at short range.

Incredibly fun little gun. Wish there was a larger capacity magazine option for it, though.

Optics  SOLD Hawke Sidewinder 8-32x56 17270

Latest model with Hawke’s H5 glass and improved reticle design and elevation witness window. This is a replacement that Hawke sent under warranty. Used for 3 WFTF field target matches late last year and about 6 matches this year (I’m a once-a-month FT shooter). Ranges very accurately and is great for field target.

20x 1/2 mil dot reticle, 30mm tube, side parallax focuses down to 10 yards. In excellent condition – 2 tiny dot marks that can be covered by the tip of a sharpie marker and are only cosmetic. The more prominent one is pictured up close.

Includes a 3D printed sidewheel and rubber adapter (from prev gen sidewinder wheel). Factory sidewheel not included. Also included is an objective lens alloy cover from a prev gen sidewinder that fits on this scope’s sunshade.

See all pics - what is shown is what is being sold. Nothing else implied or promised.

Three Generations of RTI shooting together

47AAC599-DCF1-45F5-B380-09375CFBCE1A.jpeg

My boys and I got an opportunity to head to the rock pit and shoot at a bunch of empty shotgun shells out to 100yrds today. The original is a 22lr, the P-2 is .177 and the P-3 is 22.
315D11A7-1528-4F02-BCC9-C9AE067811E4.jpeg

The 22 is shooting jsb 18.13 @ 900fps
And the .177 is shooting JSB 13.43 @ 850fps

Other  Need Opinion: FX Impact M3 or Daystate Red Wolf HP

I'm looking to buy one of these rifles. The M3 I'm looking at is a beautiful, custom Utah Airguns 22 cal with nice options and set up to shoot slugs. The Red Wolf is also setup as a 22cal slug shooter. I've never held either rifle before. The Red Wolf is only slightly more money so not a huge difference when spending 2 grand.

I have an FX Maverick in 25cal and so far, tuning has not been my strong suit. I had it tuned by FX USA in the spring so I'm very happy with it for now. So, I imagine the Impact would feel quite similar.

Since I don't have any experience with either the Impact or the Red Wolf I'd really like to hear from you guys. Currently, I'm a backyard plinker but I enjoy precision shooting. I can only get out to 50yds so 2" steel targets can get boring. I typically shoot targets 1" and smaller. I'm hoping to do some shooting next year with my new neighbor where we can easily get out over 100yds.

So, what do you guys think? I'd love to hear your opinions on which you would choose!!

Benjamin  The right pesting gun for the job

OK, all you experienced air-gunners, I have a question:

I need to eliminate some Starlings around my rural area home. The safest direction where I find them is up in some trees about 65 to 80 yards away. They typically show up in the early spring and leave in the late fall. The gun needs to be ready at a moments notice, but then might sit for 6 months. I’ve looked at the Wildcat BT VP and I’m also considering the Akela by Airgun Revisions.

I like that bullpup format/style. I’d probably tune both for 18.1 JSBs, I realize the FX gun is more versatile and accurate but the added complexity gives me pause.

Considering that it will sit and then get shot maybe 5 times and then sit for days/weeks/months; which, practically speaking, is the best tool for the job?

I’d just use my 22lr but I have a neighbor that gets nervous. My Benjamin 342 is good for close-in, but doesn’t work well beyond 40 feet with my old eyes.

Just to chew the cud?

Is there a space on this forum to be off topic and merely ruminate on the riff of your mind?

I appreciate that politics and region must be out of bounds - but a place to talk about your new found passion for moulded leatherwork or how awesome your latest home forged blade turned out?

Now and then I’m sure the conversations would turn toward ‘camping with a Huben’

It either exists (and I am an Idiot for not being able to find it - or ‘show me the way to the next whiskey bar’

Just a thought

Benjamin  Jefferson State Air Valve

Hi all,

I have a gen 2 marauder. Lots of good mods. Lots of tuning. Several Jefferson state parts that I am happy with.

My factory air valve broke. Decided to take a chance on the JS air valve. Installed it and I am having issues with my fps ranging from 550-950. It’s all over the place. I text the owner, which I think is a stand-up guy. He hasn’t responded yet, (no biggie) it is the weekend after all. In the meantime, I wanted to see if anyone has any experience with one. Any issues? Any feedback?

RAW BM500 Polygonal vs cut rifling barrel

I just want know the comparison of accuracy in polygonal barrel of RAW and cut rifling barrel of RAW that Martin used to offer.

Are both choked or unchoked?

In .22 and .25 which pellets are normally best in cut rifling?

At how much high fps the cut rifling barrel mantains accuracy with pellets?

Regards,

Bhaur

HW/Weihrauch  Trying something different.

My favorite rifle got an impromptu sighting system. I ordered this red dot for my AR. I decided to give it go on my favorite air rifle.
What's novel is I can still use my peeps through the riser mount. That's good because the peeps get hard to use in dim lighting and dark backgrounds. The other thing that may be fun is to zero the red dot at 50 yards where much past that the peeps become hard because the front post covers too much target.
Accuracy is about the same between the two set ups. Top and bottom left is the peeps. The rest was sighting in the red dot. 25 yards - red stickers are 3/4"

FX  Getting frustrated with my Dreamline GRS stock

I recently returned a GRS Dreamline stock to Utah Airguns. The first one had some minor damage, but if I'm buying new I'm expecting none of that, so I returned it. Today, I received the replacement, and fitting it to the frame has been impossible. I know fitment of these things is tight, but the force I'm using doesn't even compare to the install video I'm watching. His slips in with minimal force:

I'm having to use all of my might, and things still aren't fitting together. I actually called Utah Airguns for some advice. They suggested coating the frame with Ballistol, but it's still not happening. I don't know if this is operator error or not, but my patience is wearing thin here. And don't even get me started on trying to remove the stock without damaging the thing. I was, eventually, able to. What I found inside was that just about everything on the gun was grinding against the inside of the stock. Again, I know fitment is tight, but this is ridiculous. The biggest issue is the ridge near the airtube. I think this is what's preventing me from moving the stock back far enough.

Do I roll the dice again? I'm sure Utah Airguns is getting sick of me, but, man... I just want one that's not damaged and actually fits the rifle.

Notos Modification Services, Transparency Update.

Good morning all,

My dad is at deaths door, I'll be indisposed of this weekend as decisions are made or he starts to recover, he is on the edge of either right now.

I will not be available to answer questions for a couple of days as my brain is scrambled and I don't want to make any mistakes.

Feel free to leave comments here, I will read them when I have time, if you are able, please send prayers, thoughts, well wishes or just a quick nod to Ray.

He is truly one of the few men I have ever met that is a "good man".

Happy Veterans day to all of my fellow service members, Anchors Away!

Does anyone know user Tan_k ?

I hate making posts like this but I've done a ton of transactions here on agn and have a good feel of "something doesn't seem right"

This user reached out to me in regards to my wtb ad for an A A A Slayer, one of the rarer rifles to pop up for sale and most who own them don't want to sell them.

I asked him to text me and he did, albeit quite some time later.

My phone will tell me who the phone is registered too however for this number from a Florida area code it it was deemed to be a VOIP caller.

Voice over IP

I know VOIP setups are used for other type of scams and the shortness of the 3 texts really had me feeling something was off. I didn't even let it get past "pleasantries" before saying good luck I am not interested.

I then check the feedback and it shows he's left 1 and has had 1 left.

The 1 left was from user Gaga , both left feedback for one another saying they're both great sellers.

Tan_k barely has enough messages (10) to partake in classifieds and Gaga does not.

Either way, something just does not feel right.
