Scope purchase

I want to put a shout out of five stars for “MrSpradin”. I purchased a scope from him and was completely satisfied. He communicated with me promptly and sent the scope the same. The packaging was great and the scope was in perfect condition! Doing business with this man was a pleasure and would not hesitate doing business with him again.

Accessories  SOLD Hand Made Solid Oak Run Stand/Display/Maintenance

I made this oak gun stand. It is extremely versatile and solid. I made the 1.25" oak screw myself. The screw support slides on a dowel to best position on the rifle stock. The pistol grip support is also adjustable and slides on a pair of dowels, again to fit a multitude of rifle stocks. The contact points are leather padded. This baby could even be used as a shooting vise.

The stand is 28" long and 9" wide. Very stable. Another unique (and time consuming build) feature are the metal threaded inserts in the bottom of each large part. A hex bolt is counter sunk and attaches (from the bottom) the large pots to the base. This enables ease of disassembly for shipping.

$115 plus $20 shipping. I ship quick, secure, and I've bought and sold many times here on the nation.

Good coffee makes good shots

So other day I joked in my clown thread the poor grouping was due to I ran out of my coffee and had to grab a small cheap "get by" coffee and it was 🤮.

Lucky my sis was able to get my brand and grind and seems to have me back on track with a tasty smooth cup for morning coffee sipping shots..

Same everything as the clown shots but a decent cup of joe. I guess it shows it's the caffeine I can't do without .😉

Still just can't get past having that "the one" 🥴

N/A  BSA Scorpion pistol my, my, my

i bought a Scorpion Pistol 3 or 4 years ago was told everything was great but it wasn't it had a broken safety spring a much-needed part and the pistol came with extras also
i set it aside and ordered some parts from Knibbs and let it set because it was not on my happy pistol list
some time ago i decided to get off my dead A$$ and complete the project but found the guts needed to be rebuilt and i had the parts but back in the bad gun box it went
came up with the way i wanted to do the insides and got it ready and you guessed it just sat
well yesterday and today the pistol got put back together and it works like a champ, i can look at the trigger and the gun will fire, a little light
people have been saying how great they are and i will say the same as of today
mine in .177 vs the normal .22

so, for the ones that have never thought of buy one it could be a fun pistol but be warned the trigger assembly is one of the hardest to understand you will come across so if it works don't take it apart
parts are easy to get out of the UK at good prices at John Knibbs

So I told him to send me pictures so he did of course I know nothing about air rifle and nor sure if there's a fix or just buy him a new rifle, Its a Umarex rifle from the pictures looks like a spring had popped out from some where here's a few pic he sent me. N/A  Another new shooter needs help

Hi I'm a long time lead shooter 50 years and still have a safe full of rifles, handguns, etc. I have to admit that this air rifle search/compare question is a lot harder than any of my previous guns. I generally shoot NRA lever action silhouette (although not very well) and would like to do the same with my air rifle. I am having a hard time thinking that I have to spend $500-600 on my first air rifle. So I finally saw an RWS 3400 in my LGS, and said I remember that company and put it back down. I went home and started reading reports and how they were marking them down $100-150 and thought I better avoid that model. Now my LGS (Cheyenne Mtn. Outfitters) is a very good store with a lot of leaded guns but only had about 8 models on the shelf.

I started thinking at first the Crosman's they showed me (Optimus and Vantage) looked & felt OK but were very low priced. I'm not too handy fixing guns anymore so I felt the break actions (I decided to avoid PCP's or one of those re-fillable models) were a good place to start. One other thing I have to mention is that I live in NJ, firearms hell and there are not too many stores to drive to. There's Bass pro shops in AC and I'm thinking of going on GB or just asking my LGS to order exactly what I want. Of course I did my homework about Hatsan and Gamo but they were absent, I could not believe they had nothing from Gamo. So I was thinking of spending around $300 or so, does anyone here have a good suggestion for me to start?

How often do you play?

I work shifts so my weekends arent always free. I last played about 3 weeks ago but aren't playing again for another 3 weeks! Add to that the cost of actually playing, never mind the gear!
Ive had a look to see if there's any indoor/cqb that are open in the week local to me but can only find 1. I suppose that's one of the few downsides to living in a rural ish area, everything is at least an hour away!
So how often do you all play?

N/A  Thinking About Returning to PCPs

I started another thread about Compressors. A costly and buggy compressor caused my exit from PCPs several years ago.

I'm thinking about returning for round two -- .22 or .25 -- plinking and forest squirrel hunting for the table, I'm not a pester.

It was about the time the Steyr Pro X was launched that I was intriguing. I still think that bull pup is pretty cool looking and having owned a Steyr Hunter 5 Auto I admire their rifles for durability, dependability, ergonomics, and in semi-auto loading a lot of fun. However, that Steyr is so expensive, especially since Krale is no longer able to sell to us without a near $600 "tax". The rifle seems to be nonexistent in the US. I visited Pilkguns and didn't see anything but target stuff.

The Daystate Alpha Wolf is also quite nice. I owned an Air Wolf once. But again through the roof for this now retired shooter.

My bigger question is what would be a solid alternative to the Pro X? I see the Huben K1 seems solid, but not as classy looking (I prefer walnut, even ugly walnut) as the Steyr. I'd sure like to know what some folks think that have direct experience with the pups.
Thanks

PCP Rifle  SOLD Airforce Texan .257 Long Distance Shooting setup (maddog stock, moderator etc) WTS / WTT

First off, I just got this about 1 month ago and I have put 400 rounds through it, this rifle is FUN, it is intense. It is shooting AVS 85gr HP boat tails at 975 fps for 180 FPE. This has been shot by 4 different members here in my presence and they all say WOW that is fun.

At 350 yards shooting this round it is still producing over 100 FPE. If you are looking for a long distance shooter this rifle is for you!

I bought this rifle with intent to do some crazy long distance shots but having to drive to a range, join a club, etc in order to do so, its really not feasible with my life right now, I am a busy guy, as I am sure we all are.

I would not hesitate taking a coyote at 200 yards with this rifle, even further if youre a better shot than me.

Both groups shown are 5 shots each at 100 yards, 1 is .3 MOA the best group I have ever shot in my life, the other is sub .75 MOA (this is typically what I can shoot at 100 with this rifle). I have attached a ballistics chart to give you an idea of what this rifle is capable of with this off the shelf ammo.

It likes 2600 psi on an external reg with the powerwheel a little over 3/4.

The price for the rifle as it is , I am asking $1400.00 shipped. The maddog 20 moa rail is included and is a great piece, can mount IR lights directly to the sides or levels, or whatever youd like. These are not made anymore. The rifle stock shipped is $500.00 and would have no wait time with this one. It is in good shape and is currently wrapped in Kuiu verde vinyl, looks awesome IMO. The Ronin moderator I bought the day I bought the rifle and is in great shape. Save yourself $400-$500 on this long range setup thats already set and ready to go. I will also include 1 new box of AVS .2573 85 Grain boat tail slugs that this rifle likes.

Scope and rings not included but can be negotiated. It is a Valdada G2 Recon with Audere Kong Rings, scope cap and sunshade , new this scope setup is over $3500.00 (and has been used on many 1 mile plus shots on powder burners) can be added to the rifle as shown for an additional $1900.00. The bipod is also NOT included.

I will consider trades for the following and all trades will be straight up, not looking for anyone to be throwing money into the mix, you or I unless stated.

FX panthera 600/700 .25
Evol Mini .22 (I will add cash)
Taipan Veteran 1 Standard or Compact in .22
Daystate Huntsman Revere Regulated .22
Slayer .357 (I will add cash)
Huben GK1 .22
Leshiy Classic .25
