Did a Kinda Cool Thing This Evening!

Kinda off topic, but I'm still buzzing.

I finally had my maiden Paramotor flight!

I was a little nervous when strapping on the paramotor, knowing that in a minute or two I'd be hanging from those straps. I clipped into the wing, and sent it.

Taking off was easier than I thought it would be. In what seemed like no time at all, the weight of the paramotor was off my back and it was pulling me up into the sky. The first flight lasted about 15 minutes and I had a less than perfect landing. Nothing bad at all, just didn't land on my feet. I flared a little too late and was none the worse for wear.

The second flight was a short flight since the sun was going down. The takeoff was even easier and after 5-6 minutes, the landing was as smooth as could be.

This is going to get VERY addicting!

I'll post the videos later as my dad was shooting from the ground and I had a gopro on my helmet. For now, here are a few of the photos taken tonight. One of the other students used my camera and took some photos for me.

Nothing like a quick hunt after work

Just got off work and off loading the tools at my buddy's house. He has a bunch of grey squirrels in his neighborhood so I figured take a peep in the back before heading home. Caught this guy about 20 yards out and got him with a ruger air hawk and crosman destroyer. This is my old air hawk I gave to my buddy, it just sits in the corner by the door, hadn't been shot in awhile and was still dead on. Double lung shot and he made it about 20 feet before it realized it wasn't outrunning death. Dropped there, pellet stopped just under the skin on the other side. This is the only gun if ever seen shoot the destroyer with any accuracy. My older brother has one also, and it is just as accurate with the destroyer also.

Field mouse vs 25 caliber Atomic pellet

Took out this small field mouse at 30 yards with my FX Maverick in 25 caliber. I had just installed the Saber tactical butt stock and was outside at night getting it adjusted for use with my Oneleaf NV100 night vision unit. Low and behold I see a tiny set of beady eyes staring at me in a woodpile. Threw a mag in and sent an Atomic pellet his way moving at 910fps. Mouse was facing me and took a direct hit between the eyes. You can see the results below, total devastation!

NLA NLA XP Ranger 45 with Moderator

I have a Dan McVey XP Ranger 45 in a Maddog Tactical stock with a 28" threaded barrel with a Moderator Dan makes for it, it has 3 power settings an it shoots great and very accurate pushing a Mr.Hollowpoint 250gr HP at 926fps and his 214gr HP at 965fps. I waited almost a year to get it so here's your chance to own one quicker, I paid extra for the Maddog Tactical Stock and Moderator which puts me into it for $2000, scope and rings not included. Asking $1800 shipped. Nothing wrong with just looking to sell to get something different... Thanks Terry

My small slice of heaven in the city (Looking forward to winter!)

So, I've finished my backyard range and hangout area, and wanted to share a few pics of the first 'range day' and some of the before/during/after stuff because I'm just so darn happy and proud of it - it's not perfect, by any means, but certainly does the job, and having added a FAN out there at the bench today, I have yet another reason it's vastly better than the other options!

Having been in Miami for over a decade, I've greatly missed the ablity to just get outside and shoot in a decent environment, without an hour+ drive, or the untrained and frankly, often sketchy, folks shooting their 6" barreled AK in the next lane, while chatting about how many dudes they can drop with this baby in a driveby... For sure just kills the mood and enjoyment.

When I moved in to my current place, there was a BBQ grill already set up, and while a bit old, it worked well, and even the mini-fridge was worth keeping stocked up for buddies. :) With hurricane Ian destroying more than half of our mango tree, and with the grill in need of replacment, it was time for a major update, and since I'd set up a decent backstop at 20 yards earlier this year, it just made sense to really set it up to be ready to take maximum advantage of the next few good months of weather that is headed our way as fall gets into full swing. I added a ton of privacy fencing, so as to not have to worry about the neighbors seeing my scary looking airguns sitting out, and rebuilt the rotted out grill into a simple table/bar. Cheap, and easy, but really nice. Dropped a 10x20 tent over that, and a 10x10 over my shooting bench, and I'm pretty much in heaven now.

I can shoot in total comfort, in my own back yard, while listening to the birds chatter at a 20 yard distance with a backstop that, frankly, is such wild overkill that it's unquestionably sufficient for the task at hand. :). Life is good!

SOLD Weirauch HW50s

Extremely nice HW50s, .177 cal. Bought new 2 years ago, tuned by John Thomas to a smooth and backyard-friendly 10 ft pounds. On my good days I’ve shot 3/8” ctc groups at 25yards off sticks, which I can’t match with my TX.
The rifle is mechanically perfect; and I would guess has had less than 2500 shots through it. Trigger is crisp, breaking at around 12 oz. There is a visible pressure mark on the upper left side fore stock, but otherwise is in great condition. I have also invested in several upgrades that really transform the gun: Rowan set back trigger, barrel brake, Morgan adjustable butt pad, padded comb riser.
I will include the pictured Plano case and pick up shipping. $360.00

FX Royale 500 AOA Repair, Upgrade, & Maintenance Complete

A few months back, I purchased a beautiful walnut FX Royale 500 in .25. It was obviously one of the earlier ones. Though it shot well upon receipt, a few weeks later it began to leak off while in the vault. Upon disassembly, I noticed that some channel locks at been applied to the bottle at some point in the past, and decided to send it in to Shane at AOA for a complete inspection, reseal, and repair as needed.

Shane provided tremendous service and value, as he found several things wrong with the rifle, which he corrected. At my inquiry, he also converted the rifle to a carbon fiber bottle, and the balance is now far superior to when the original steel bottle was installed. I received it back yesterday, meticulously packaged and shipped, cleaned the barrel, mounted the Athlon Argos 8-32x56 FFP scope, and proceeded to sight it in and test it.

This rifle shoots the 25.4 and 33.95 gr pellets about equally accurate, so I settled on the 25.4 to keep the trajectory as flat as possible. This rifle is only shooting at +/- 40 fpe but the accuracy is great.

After setting everything up and testing over the chrono on my indoor range, I took it outside and established the scope click points using Strelok Pro with actual shots at different yardages to verify.

Photos of the rifle, test results, and trajectory chart can be found below. Note, all groups were 10 shot groups. The groups with the chrono readings were indoors at 18 yards. The 1" target dot was at 83 yards.

SOLD *** SOLD *** AAA EVOL Mini .22

*** SOLD ***

What can I say about these guns which hasn't already been said by so many others? Just a beautiful gun to look at, and even more beautiful is the design & engineering, and the quality of its build. But more gun than I need in this form factor as a compact powerhouse, so I am putting it up for sale.

No real blemishes anywhere I can see on the gun. AAA must use a very hard aluminum coating/anodizing as I don't even see any marks on the lower Pic rail where the bipods were attached. Comes with the 1 OEM magazine shown in the pic. For the price listed, DOES NOT come with the scope & rings shown in the pic.

Tuned to shoot JSB 18.13's very accurately at an average muzzle velocity of 870 fps. That's how it was when I bought it - I have not adjusted it.

Not looking for trades or offers.

$1,885 shipped CONUS, paid for via PP 'Friends' (sorry but I don't have any other electronic forms of payment available - my local bank doesn't partner with Zelle).

Please ask any questions via PM. First 'I'll take it' gets priority on this sale.

Thanks,
Tom
