eBay coming in clutch

When it comes to buying airguns on eBay I’m reluctant. I would rather BUY here on AGN where I can get a good idea who I’m buying from.

Selling on here is a different story. If it ain’t a trending or reputable brand you can almost guarantee it will take a while to sell or you’ll have to drastically reduce the price. For example: I had a hatsan bt65 elite that cost $750 brand new. I list it for $400. A couple weeks go by and no bites. So I drop it to $350. Couple weeks go by and nada. I try a different tactic and list it as a WTT for a springer. Same results after two weeks. I put the gun back in the closet and it sat there for a year until I decided to put it up on eBay. It went up on eBay as an auction which got me about $400 after fees.

Or the DAQ pistol I posted on here 3 days ago. Didn’t even get a tire kicker. Put it on eBay last night and it sold this morning.

Certain items will sell better on eBay than a forum. Particularly vintage guns and guns made by less desirable brands. Yea the eBay fees suck but you get a little kickback from the discount on shipping. Plus the higher prices that you can sell them for balance out the cost of fees.

This method might not work for everyone but it has for me with the last 7 guns I sold on eBay.

Finished up my HW77k .20

I purchased a used circa 1986 12fpe HW77k in .20 from AoA earlier this year. It was my first .20 and my first springer rifle. I never intended to scope it and was planning on using open sights, but it didn't come with a rear sight. Took a few months but AoA was able to source one for me.

There was nothing wrong with the base stock, but I wanted something more interesting so I purchased a Forrest Green laminate stock from Craftsman Vic.

Very happy with this setup now.

Love the colors in this laminate.

.177 FX barrels?

A while back I stopped by a local airgun shop and was informed that the FX barrels in .177 don't shoot well. They said that if someone was looking for a .177 then another manufacturer would be a better route. Is this a matter of the shop not selling FX or is there some truth behind? I am looking for a .177 for plinking and have my eyes on a Dreamline as an entry to PCP guns but figured it would be a good idea to look into it. The Dreamline to me seems to provide an entry level PCP gun with enough flexibility not to paint you into a corner with regards to what you can do with it. That said, the Daystate Huntsman is also on the short list followed by a hard left turn with a AA TX200.

Closed-cell foam to wrap gun with to quiet the pipe-ringing sound?

Hi folks. My FX Maverick 30 cal sniper is very quiet as far as muzzle pop is concerned thanks to a DonnyFL Ronin. However, I've got the power cranked up pretty good and the whole gun sounds like someone smacking a steel pipe with a hard rubber mallet. The sound does not bother me, but a neighbor's horse that is more than 100 yards away gets spooked every time. I gotta shut this thing up some how. Have any of you had this problem and solved it by, perhaps, covering as much of the gun as possible with closed-cell foam?

SOLD WTS Weirauch HW110 .22

Bought this last year from a well known forum member who originally purchased it from Airguns of Arizona in 2021, all original box, paperwork and receipt plus retailer chrony testing is included, along with 5 total magazines, 3 of which are still new in packaging. Original fill probe and uninstalled forward pic rail section are included as well. Gun is in excellent to as-new condition, has not been into woods or carried uncased in a vehicle. Shoots JSB 16 at 845 fps average with extreme +/- 3 fps across a regulated 2900 PSI fill for 3 mags/30 shots. Gun is scary accurate. I’m small statured and grip is a bit large and far from trigger to suit my small hands, but otherwise trigger is superb and crisp, so I haven’t adjusted anything on this rifle.

NO TRADES. Would like to get $825 shipped PayPal FF or you pay fees. Thanks.

why shooting 100 yards pest's

I just do not understand the distance thing , when i was on a farm you had to get close enough to throw a stone at birds to get them to move .
Do modern birds fly off when you step off the porch 150 feet from the barn ? watching the video's one shot and poof all fly off ? when i was a kid i would shoot one and maybe a few next to it would move . But my old red rider did not make much noise and you had to get close to kill .

ATN Binos, little review I guess you could say....

So about two months ago I snagged a set of refurb ATN Binox 4-16 binoculars.

I bought them so my buddy Matt could come pesting with me at night. His job was to spot for me, thats why these were bought. I was asked by another member if I would give a review on them.

So looking through the sightmark 4k mini (or any NV scope with a cusp for that matter) can get extremely strenuous on the eye when viewing and scanning for long periods of time. Having SOMEONE ELSE (key phrase here) being able to spot with these binos has made it amazing. The FOV is small, so small its almost disappointing but what Matt and I found was that he could see my IR beam in his view and I could see his, so for spotting where you have a second spotter, these are awesome, it makes target acquisition so fast. We purposely focused his IR beam so that it really stood out in my FOV looking through my sightmark. I would say that looking through these binos is less strain on the eye as you are viewing with both eyes but it is still tiresome due to being focused in on a TV screen essentially very close to your eyes.

As far as picture quality goes, its bad unless its mounted on a tripod, or you can remain completely steady.

Video quality is superb and I am hoping that my video is going to upload for you to see.

Clarity is very very good looking through these binos, far far better than the atn 4k pro scope I had, they make that scope look like fisher price. The microphone also barely pics up my voice with my standing directly behind them, or in front of them, or to either side of them so there's that to think about as well.

It also sucks battery down pretty quickly if you are out using it continuously , much like other NV scopes with the cr123 batteries.

In the end I would not purchase these with the intention of using them to spot for yourself due to the small FOV and the strain on the eyes that is still there albeit not as bad as looking through a monocular optic. If you have the luxury of having someone else pest with you without a rifle then absolutely a pair of refurbs will suit you well. I would also say that if I didnt pay refurb price I would be far , far less thrilled.

EDIT: I think I figured out the Mic thing, bad hand placement, I had my hands placed differently when recording this video so maybe I was covering the mic before?

PCP Rifle  NLA .25 Seneca Eagle Claw

*Update* updated pics and measurements taken*
Tuned by the ol famous Will so it's running good and shooting hard. Rifle has been babied but it does have scuffs and scratches from the previous owner. Holds pressure. I believe I have spare o-rings x2 for it as well. I also have Wills pressure numbers, just have to find it.
Shoot me reasonable offers. Gun shoots great. Bought from a member here a year or two ago. Have some decent scopes for extra dinero.
New, they go for 700-800. Will attach pictures tomorrow and sort out what I'm willing to throw in. Have lots of goodies for it like lots of ammo, hand pump, air compressor, sights, soft case, extra magazines, and a sling. I would prefer to unload everything all at once. I am willing to let it go for a good price just don't low ball me.
*Edit* Pictures added. The scope you see on the rifle is the BugBuster by UTG, 3-9X32 1" and has AO, RGB Mil-dot, QD Rings. I also have a nice little red dot sight but I have to find it first.
As you can see I have slugs and pellets, not pictured above, but I have a box of about 5-10 tins of various pellets/slugs with different grain weights, if interested I can dig them out for you.
Last picture is an Orion Motor Tech compressor still sitting in its box from the day of delivery. It's currently on Amazon for $215.

D54/D56 Slide maintenance?

Picked up a D56 and it was shooting great. Noticed the slide became pretty loose and wasn't locking forward the way it was supposed to so I gave the rear detent screw maybe half a turn in. That was enough to keep the action from sliding back down under its own weight. I know I can loctite that down but I'm holding off on that for now.

My concern now is that the action didn't seem to release from lock up when fired. I assumed I had over tightened the rear screw but upon removal of the stock I found the front slide was just sticking pretty badly. I removed the guide and front slide and just put a thin layer of moly down and worked it in. Its freed up a bit but still seems a bit "friction-y".My question here is whether or not there is a better way of going about this. Should it be polished? Oiled? Something else?

Thanks in advance!

Strange situation with power block/720 on MK2

Just got a power block and 720 plenum installed on my MK2. Went smooth no leaks after but my power is way down.

Seems to be making more power at 110 bar than it did at 160. This is the first impact I've played with that doesn't have the return spring in the plenum. I've even tried it with no return spring at all only pressure keeping the valve shut. Seems very timid.

New spring, 6 gram hammer weight, new hammer. Even tried an 8 gram hammer weight I have it's no better.

C1 is bottomed out around 5mm of reveal, I'm stumped. Seems to be an insanely short dwell.

Near mint 1985 Beeman R8

I’m the original owner if this fine air rifle I special ordered with walnut stock with cheek rest for right hand shooter. Along with custom super tune with nickel plated piston. The rifle is in very fine condition, with just a few untouched marks on the stock, with no scratches or lines. There’s just a slight bit of tarnish of the bluing on the barrel, but nothing so that would warrant re-bluing of the original patinas. I’ve decided to sell and would love to know what it’s worth. Very pleasant shooter, fast and accurate, with ability to hit aspirin pills at 25’ repeatedly. Thanks for your time.
