ATN X Sight 4K Pro 3-14

Hi,

Does anyone know from experience what the minimum focusing distance ("MFD") is on the ATN X-SIGHT 4K PRO 3-14?

I am debating between two NV scope purchases: the ATN X-SIGHT 4K PRO 3-14, or the Sightmark Wraith (2-16 X 28) model. I sometimes do pesting of rats on my shed's roof and the distance is less than 10 yards.

I chatted with ATN's C.S. and they "thought the minimum focusing distance was 10 yards ~ 33 feet".

I know the Sightmark's MFD is less, but is also essentially a SFP scope.

I would like someone opinion based on experience. Thanks.

FX Crown mk2 max pressure

Hey guys,

What’s the max pressure on FX Crown MK2 (grs if that matters) ?

Bottle says 310 max, pressure gauge says 300 bar, text on the rifle says 250 bar, manual says “charge the rifle to wanted pressure”.

So what’s the safe max pressure I can fill the bottle at?

My guess would be 300 but since the text on the rifle says 250, I don’t want to fcuk things up.

Thanks!

Insect control by RAW .22 Cal

Hello everyone,

Following the trend of the Forum members I contributed to the Insect Control today by eliminating a Black Wasp with my RAW HM1000X .22 cal. If you look real close around the hole in the target you will see some blood and guts and a small amount of body parts. This guy landed on the target and stuck his head inside the hole just shot in the number one 10-ring and then moved over to the number two 10-ring where I was aiming, it was too easy.

Have a great day,
ThomasT

Diana 280 .177

New here and just recently got back into the game from a 12 year hiatus.

Picked up this t06 .177cal D280 premium and matched her up with a hawke vantage 3-9x40 and an air venturi muzzle break.

20220803_153209.jpg

Gotta say I sure missed having a high quality German break barrel, and such a sweet shooter at 12ftlbs.
Hold sensitively is minimal and shot cycle is short, smooth, and quick.
Ive got no complaints on the t06 trigger either, I actually kinda prefer it over the HW record due to the blade being closer to the grip.

Most importantly though, she prints:
20220803_155248.jpg

(JSB exact express 7.9gr .452 28yrds 5 shots)

Suprised these never got much fan fair, I like it better then the HW50s I once had years back.

Red Wolf owners

Hello, I have my Red Wolf .22 HP coming in Friday and I have a few questions.

1: What is the twist rate to the ART barrel? I can’t seam to find this info.
2: This has a couple parts to it. Has anyone added a bigger bottle to your RW? Did it change the balance of the gun a good bit? How much did it increase your shot count? Does the new bottle take the same valve? If not, what is the valve thread pitch sizes needed?
3: How many run any kind of 3d printer barrel tubers?
4: What advice or watch out for’s might you have?

The new Western Airgun Sidewinder select fire semi or full auto air rifle will storm the airgun scene in the Fall of 2022! The Western Sidewinder's unique air delivery system combines a blend of high power and accuracy with fast rate of fire in semi‐automatic or full‐automatic with the flip of a switch at the back of the breech block. The all new Western Sidewinder rifle's velocity control wheel can regulate pellet or slug speeds from quiet back yard target shooting to power levels capable of Coyote size game depending on the caliber choice. The Sidewinder incorporates a newly designed, removable magazine system that holds 15 shots in 22 caliber, 15 shots in 25 caliber, and 12 shots in 30 caliber. This provides the shooter with the convenience of quick changes in the field or on the firing line. The Sidewinder's picatinny scope rail is mounted on top of a full length tactical barrel cover that accepts side rails for accessories like lasers, red dots or lights. A bottom rail for bipod mounting is rigidly mounted beneath the 580cc bottle. Accuracy with both slug and pellet ammo is provided by a regulated action and a USA made TJ hammer forged barrel. The AR compatible grip allows for shooter customization for a comfortable fit. Just like the snake, the Western Sidewinder air rifle is fast, light and hits hard!

Available: Fall of 2022
MSRP: $1999.99

Brocock Ranger XR

So I got a little trigger time with my new Ranger XR so I thought I would give my impressions and results.
First impression is that it is a solid well built gun. It actually seemed slightly heavy for its size, which is not to say it is heavy, it is a very small gun so only heavy for the size. This is not a criticism, because that little extra weight is what makes it so solid and well built.
Second impression is that the folding but stock has a lot of play, and I am not talking about play in the sliding length adjustment but I’d the pivoting, folding mechanism. I don’t love that play, but once shouldered it disappears and has no effect on accuracy.
Next, the cocking action is so smooth. It is a gem. And the magazine has to be my favorite I have used. I really like the flip down cover with the magnet holding it closed tight. I like the solid feel of the metal (aluminum I assume) magazine, and it like the cocking lever is buttery smooth. It loads into the gun so easy, just slides in and stops with a definite and perfectly aligned stop.
The shot count per fill is as expected, fairly low. Two magazines or 22 shots. Maybe I could get more, that is just staying with in the green on the gauge. A small gun with a small cylinder that is to be expected and that shot count does not bother me.
It is very quiet, the sound of the pellets hitting the trap are far louder than the report of the gun.
My only complaint is the large amount of play in the folding stock. I think I would have preferred the Atomic XR with the solid stock I’ve this folding stock, but like I said once you shoulder it that disappears so it is not much of a complaint. For what I got this gun for it is great. It inspires confidence both in just holding it and also in shooting it. It is a winner in my book, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it highly as L.Leon and other have recommended it.
I scoped it with an MTC SWAT 10x scope. This is my short range low powered gun so a 10x scope is perfect and I really like the size, weight, simplicity, and large field of view with this scope. I will follow up with the results of my first shot tests in a reply shortly.

Used Air guns?

I am considering buying an M3. I have given some thought to finding a used one to save a few bucks. Have to not look at retail outlets as their used prices are borderline ridiculous.
After pondering the situation for a while I am wondering just how safe it is to buy a used air gun from a private party. Obviously they are not going to have a staff technician to go through the gun and most likely would not want to bear the expense on a gun they are selling.
I buy powder burners on forums from private parties but am well versed in the practice.
I guess the question for the forum is how comfortable are all of you buying a used air gun from a private party?
