WTS .25 Marauder Gen2 - lots of upgrades, accessories

Hey Y’all!

Testing the waters with my .25 Marauder. I have three barrels, 2 standard Crosman and on custom made TJ by Mountain Air Customs. Likes Air arms 25 grain and JSB 33gr pellets. The Crosman barrels like the Benjamin Domed pellets, which I’ll include with the sale, think I have 3 or 4 tins. I’ve upgraded to a Hill valve and hammer, so there’s plenty of power on tap if you should want to experiment. There is also a longer shroud to accommodate the longer TJ barrel. Nice, accurate setup with both barrels, just have too many air rifles for the time I have at this point. Will ship with a case, depending on where you live I may ask to split shipping. I’ll also include a Huma regulator and some extra Orings. Tinkerer’s special. Bought new in November and treated well, the TJ barrel is still breaking in but was already producing 1/2” 65 yard groups with the JSB 33gr.

Will entertain offers and trades. No junk here, but a good quality setup with lots of upgrades. I was pursuing a 2/3 magazine 50ft/lb setup and was pretty close. Was most accurate with a Donny FL FX moderator (should does have threaded adapter). Will also include the Hill .25 moderator.
Recapping:
  • Hill valve
  • Hill hammer
  • Hill custom shroud
  • TJ 24” barrel
  • 2x Crosman barrels
  • Huma regulator
  • Extra O-rings
  • Threaded shroud cap
  • Hill moderator
  • Benjamin Domed pellets, 3+ tins
  • 2 magazines
  • Synthetic stock
  • Will ship in plastic gun case
Not sure what the market will command for this, but flexible and open to trades. Let me know what you’d pay for this!

  • Question
Multiple guns or 1 more adjustable rig?

Rabbits are running rampant in our neighborhood and looks like with the wife's blessing I may jump away from powder burners to dive a bit back into airgun land...used to shoot 10m paper targets competitively but that was 15+ years so lots of new stuff since then!

Traditional neighborhood on 1/4 acre lots or so, but not in city limits and no county ordinance against air guns so backyard shooting is legal but still trying to keep noise down as much as possible. Most shooting would be done from a mostly concealed patio area and longest backyard shot is realistically 20 yds....maybe 30 if I setup on the 2nd floor out a window at night.

My struggle is I know that when I go down this rabbit hole I'm quickly going to want something with more guts than the .177 that is right for my backyard and task at hand. Should I try and get something that is .22 cal and with enough adjustability and pellet choice can bring that fpe down to sub 20 and up to over 30 or is 2 dedicated rigs a simpler answer? Not many coons, few squirrels and no coyotes that I've seen but rabbits doing their thing like...well rabbits have caused a bumper crop this year.

Will be a PCP and initial budget I'm putting at about $1k but I already have the scuba tank from the prior venture and it was recently recertified so good there.

No preference between used or new but generally more of a buy once, cry once mentality so not looking for entry price point solutions. The backyard gun would benefit from compactness and I've enjoyed bullpup style ones in the past and have been looking at used Taipan or FX Wildcat or a new or used Akela. Several on the classifieds right now are intriguing me. What else should I be looking at in this area? If I went the 2 gun route, I'd probably justify to myself spending more on this one as it'd get greater use and could be used inside for precision paper punching

If I went the 2 gun route, the larger one would probably be a .25 cal in a longer platform, considering the Maruder or similar and would have 0 qualms buying used here as well and would probably prefer used to get more bells and whistles for same budget...what else in the .25 cal size and good to 80 to 100 yds should I learn about? This would primarily be small game/pest control though would like to try some field target matches if I can find some in my area.

So what says ya'll? Is a single gun with tuning or barrel sets feasible here...if so any recommendations? Or do you think separate tools for separate tasks is better and what would be your go to?

100 yards .177 RedWolf

I got a chance to shoot at a N50 target at 100 yards, trying Mike’s five shots per bull trying to get them inside the black circle.
Very difficult indeed lol!
There was a very slight breeze from the left.
I circled the bulls that I got five shots at, unfortunately there was a branch with leaves blocking the other bulls so I didn’t shoot a full card.
I have a good bipod coming soon and hopefully that will help me be more steady than a stack of bags.
I was shooting JSB 13.43 knock out slugs on hi power.
I’m hoping to be able to get groups like numbers 7, 23 and the one sighter target on the bottom with more consistency.
I tend to shoot spinners and groups on steel, or small objects at long range, and that kind of shooting session makes me think I’m a better shot than I really am lol.
Shooting informally at different things is a blast, but your misses are forgotten and you just remember the cool hits.
And then you try paper targets and suddenly every single shot shows up no matter how good or bad!
I’m seeing how difficult it is to get consistency at 100 yards in a slight breeze.
And wind like at the RMAC match just seems impossible to me to know how to read.
I’m concentrating on my form and setting up for the shot the same way each time, someday I’ll start to challenge the wind, but for now it’s just such a mystery lol.

AAA Paradigm/Evol Dust Cover Mod

When I ordered my AAA Paradigm .22 from AoA, I asked them if they had anymore magnetic dust covers for the male foster fill port. They informed me that they were out of stock and probably won't be receiving anymore orders from Ninja Paintball who makes it for them because they would have to place an order in the thousands. I started looking online but noticed they were pretty expensive for just one piece and I couldn't find one that I liked.

The light bulb in my head turned on and I wanted to see if an aluminum tire valve stem cap that I had laying around would fit the male foster. It didn't fit at first because of the inner threads so I used a dremel to grind off the threads. I then inserted a 6mm x 3mm disc magnet with Gorilla Glue at the bottom to hold it in place. I'm not sure if anyone has done this but thought that I would share. I must say, it worked out pretty well.

Might be old news on 2022 tax law but just in case...

I think this topic may have been discussed before but in case everyone is not already aware. I wanted to inform members selling their used items or labor services, starting this year the Federal Govt. required companies like Ebay, Amazon, Paypal, Venmo, etc. to send 1099-K tax forms to anyone that receives more than $600 for the year. This amount used to be $20,000 mainly intended for smaller or side businesses but now the government has lumped in individual transactions.

Basically means that when selling your used airguns, accessories, or anything for that matter exceeding $600 for the year, you will be sent a 1099-K during tax time next year. A few instances you don't get a 1099-K is an in-person cash transaction, Paypal F&F, personal check or money order.

It's unfair that you are paying income tax on items you paid sales tax on when purchased new even if you are selling at a loss. There is supposedly an effort to have this legislation reversed back to the way it was before but for now unless you can prove that you paid more than you sold for, you will owe income tax on payments received for goods or services. If you have receipts for everything you sell, you can avoid having to pay the income tax. Unfortunately it's more time wasted doing tax paperwork.

Couple links below with more detailed info on the tax law.

SOLD *** SOLD *** Crown MkII .30 cal, 600mm Barrel, Right Hand Green GRS Stock

**** SOLD **** Gun #2 in my 'I've Got Too Many .30 cal Rifles' sales event is a Crown MkII with a 600mm barrel in a right hand green GRS stock. I purchased this rifle new from PA on 10/25/21, so it still has over 2 years of transferrable warranty left. Copy of purchase receipt will be provided with the gun.

It comes with an FX magazine, a CARM single shot loader and an OEM FX 'empty can' on the muzzle (as shown in the photos). Once again, I really only shot this gun single loaded. No issues with this very clean (nearly LNIB) gun. I have never felt the need for any additional sound moderation on this rifle when shooting in my back yard.

I just shot it this afternoon in light, pretty consistent winds. Once again the gun can outshoot me, but I liked those 5 shot groups just fine, and they were they were pretty casually shot. The gun's reg is still set as received from FX. The only 'tuning' that I have done is adding about 1/2 a turn to the hammer spring fine adjustment. Currently shooting 44.75's accurately at ~872 fps at the muzzle.

I'm asking $1,675 shipped (CONUS) for this rifle, via PayPal 'Friends'. Scope and rings shown in the photos below are NOT included. Will ship in its OEM FX hard case, with an outer corrugated box.

NOTES:
1) Gun will go NLA by next Thursday if not sold. I will be heading up to the big range for a couple of weeks for a Regional level Cowboy shoot, and will not be able to access the net or do packaging/shipping of sold guns.
2) I will likely attend at least part of the West Coast AAFTA GP match at the same (SLOSA) range near Morro Bay, Aug 19-21. So if someone wants to 'try before they buy' that can be arranged. It will also allow me to give a $50 discount off the price since I would not have to pay to pack and ship it.

Any questions please work through the AGN PM system.

Thanks,
Tom

(I hope that my new photo backgrounds are interesting and working out to still show off the gun!)

NLA Air Force Condor SS .25 almost free

As you might imagine there has been a lot of response to this add, so it looks like it is most likely no longer available.

I have an Condor SS in .25 that I got years ago, my first PCP. Now that I have a number of repeater airguns I no longer shoot it, haven’t for several years. I want to basically give it away, charge a nominal fee $100, to cover my troubles in shipping it, and buyer cover shipping charges. My intent is that this goes to someone that is just getting into PCP’s and/or does not have the funds for a pretty nice PCP. I do not have the ability to check that the “buyer” has need of a almost free gun, but I ask please don’t not take advantage of me and “buy” this gun if you already have nice PCP’s or can afford to buy one at full price. Also do not buy this with the intent of selling it for a profit. This was a very good shooting gun I have multiple time taken Starlings at 100 yards with it, it should still be a great shooter, but does need a little love. My girlfriend had a cat that decided it needed to be pee’d on (had it in a closet), cat is lucky it didn’t end up on the business end of the gun, so anyway there is a little runts but I am sure it will clean up and I lost the trigger shoe. I did put a lot into cool stock as you can see in the picture, adjustable top hat, heavier upgraded hammer, maybe super seer (can’t remember). I basically did all I could to upgrade it. The scope will come with it. You can see in the picture it is sitting at 3000 psi after years of non use, so apparently it holds air. Again Please allow this gun to go to someone who could not otherwise have a pretty nice PCP.
