A recent thread about a Falcon FN12 has got me wondering where all the "first generation" pcp's are because I hardly ever see them come up for sale. By classic first generations I'm talking about the Titans, Falcons, AA300, BSA (Superten), Daystate (Harrier, Huntsman etc) and more.

Looking into getting better glass at some point and wandering who has experience with both brands and which one would be a better choice?

Theyre close in price range for some of the higher end hawke vs element titan.

Where are the element scopes made? I know hawke is Chinese and if I'm spending the coin, I'd like to avoid more Chinese stuff on my rigs.

I have yet to own a HW35E. Wanting to get the wife into springers. She is 5'2 and petite. Both of us are not young pups any more (50's or just shy of). Would the HW35E in .177 be a good pick for her?

Like the title says when you are shooting offhand, what's your favorite magnification and up to what distance you consider yourself reasonably accurate?

I have been shooting airguns as long as I could remember. I started with a simple gamo springer in .177, then a crosman in .22. I never graduated away from springers until I was moved out and living on my own. I bought a Beeman commander in .22 about a year ago. Im now looking to upgrade to some thing much nicer. I've been looking around a lot and have checked all the classifieds here. I think I want to go with some sort of FX, that way I can hopefully just get one and be happy. (Unlikely I know) Is there anything that's as modular or as tunable as FX in the same price range? Any recommendations for something sub $1300.

With IWA going on right now... thoughts are When are Steyr, Anschutz, Hammerli, and FWB going to realize that there is a market outside the sub 12 market where serious shooters want serious air rifles in the USA? we have FX, and Daystate, and I hesitate to say RAW because of the recent (last few years) changes there to name a few good ones, but as for the Top 4 in quality fit finish and function... we got nothing.

Both chronographs running in parallel. Prophet Performance 2 in .22 with a LR barrel. Regulator set to 80 bar. Hammer spring 1/4 turn past lowest amount of tension to open the valve. Ammo of choice is the JSB 15.89gr. Caldwell Chronograph was 18” from the muzzle, FX was mounted to the moderator.
FX Chronograph: 930 fps
Caldwell Ballistic Chronograph: 970 fps

When I ordered a Jet2 I also ordered a Ruger Mark 4 and pretty much forgot about it. I pulled it out last night and started to shoot it. I now know what the worst trigger in the world feels like. I'm now looking at gunsmith tools to buy for my first tuning try. There are You tube vids showing how to do it so I feel confident that I wont end up with another paper weight, lol. It's just funny to me how wanting to shoot a piece of paper with a pellet becomes a whole new set of skills to learn. BTW, my first car taught me how to be a human transmission jack.

I live in Minnesota, you can hold that against me, I do. I tried to buy my first airgun off of ebay years ago and they wont even let me bid on it because they wont let a airgun be shipped to this frozen wasteland. I gave up on ebay and was concerned that my state was New Jersey and I couldn't even order one. There are no state laws against having a airgun shipped here, I would have saved thousands if there were. Today I contacted ebay to find out the reason. After being transferred three times and told how much that they appreciate me (something that my ex-wife never said) and this was the final answer.

I picked this new, fully tuned Empire XS from Troy Hammer last fall. I mounted the scope and ran it across the chrony to confirm the tune but never shot it after that.

Gun is not regulated but the tune has it shooting extremely tight. Tuned at 25.4 fpe.

Gets three full mags at that power. Whisper marks on the air tube from the tune disassembly but otherwise in as new condition. I waited an extended time to get this gun tuned - avoid the wait and availability/shortage issues with the XS by getting this one. Super compact, 24" long. Side lever. Shoulders great - better than my Veteran ever did and the forward side lever is what attracted me to this gun in the first place.

What's the current value of a Webley Patriot in 95%+ condition? UK made. Are they hard to find parts for? Easy to rebuild?

Admittedly it's a knock off. Though sometimes knock offs can be pretty dang good. This is a knock off of a $3000 scope that I'd like to have. But it'll be a cold day in Hades before I spend $3000 on a basic optical scope. Any of y'all tried one of these? Given the price disparity, might it be worth a shot?

Apparently seen at some show. Not yet on the RTI website. It seems they may have dropped the troublesome (P2) balanced valve and gone for a more conventional one.
