Got to say something that has been bothering me.

Wait times and doesn't answer the phone complaints,...Sure some are warranted, that said, too many people do not get it.
Custom work takes time, and most of those people are working to get your order out, that is what they get paid for
and answering the phone is not perority.
Patience, have it or do your own work.
Custom stocks, get on a waiting list, wait and then wait some more, most do tell you how long you have to wait,
Tuning and fixing,=have to see what is wrong, then have to order the parts, then this and that, patience.
Think about this,if a custom tuner is well known wouldn't he have more businss= more wait time, but remember you can always say I got my air gun tuned by so and so
Of course, if you purchase a new air gun and it does not work ,That would be another subject.
I think it is a good idea for the "tuner" and client to have a working understanding, and if there is a problem the tuner should call the client and tell him about it, that is also part of a tuners job,to keep the client informed....that should be upfront and the client should have enough faith in his chosen tuner to trust him.
One tuner is notorious for not answering the phone, yet people still complain about it.Every time I order something from him I get it within 2 weeks, I use his website to order.
Sorry for those that have had a bad experiences, always check out the "tuner" custom parts guy Before you proceed.
One more thought....I have waited too long on some custom parts or tune jobs ,custom stocks or resin models, and that person retired .or no longer is around.
I used to have a sheet that had the Air Gun tuners that belonged to the Air Gun Guild info on it...I do not even know if there is still a Air Gun Guild.
One thing I do know, air guns are a lot better nowadays.
Thank you for your patience.

That's just gross! 😂🙄

Was shooting at sportsman's club today thinking about the recent posts about shooting flies that landed on the target. Well, wouldn't you just know this butterfly landed on mine. So what's a guy to do but try to match those other posts — only problem is, this is just gross. 😅🤣😂😁

What is the AI of airguns

Looking at getting into air guns. I like to have nice stuff and generally the best of the best hence the thread asking what is the accuracy international of air guns. This air gun would be for messing around in my backyard. Usually not more than 50 yards.
From the research ive done i think id be fine using pellets in 22 cal. What gun would you recommend for me? Money no object. Thank you

FX Maverick - Power problem

Hi guys,

My problem : I'm only able to reach 550 fps with my Maverick .30 (7.62mm) cal 500mm
I read that some reach to 900 and more
What could be wrong...

And I'm allready sorry, cause I'm new in the hobby, so I'm that heavy guy with so many question !!
Believe me, I'll try to be as light as I can ;-))

Precisions... that could probably help...
- My regs are (from what I know) setup max : 250bottle-> 180reg1 -> 150 reg2 (Is it really the max ?)
- Position 7 and setup unscrew with hex1.5 to max (with ajust wheel stuff)
- I didn't change hammer or spring (and even I allready ordered a 14gr new hammer I don't think it is the thing wich can reach from 500 to 900fps ? Or am I wrong ?)
- I bought FX Maverick with .22 cal and I change barrel with .30 and its pellet probe (hole not big enough ?)

The 2 barrels I have :
.22 (5.5mm) cal (barrel of origin) has 2 positions (2 rectangle holes et round hole)
.30 (7.62mm) cal has only one (round hole)
1) Is it normal ? Or some holes are missing on .30?
2) I noticed that 1 of the 2 O-ring on .30 cal I get is flying in the middle of nowhere... Is it normal ?

20220725_151050.jpg

3) Could you help me on what am I doing wrong - well to reach more than 500fps with .30 cal ?
4) For you do I have to buy a Humma KIT like : High Flow V2 Dual Hole Transfer Port for maverick or it is not necessary ?
5) What could be the difference from your experience if I change spring and put 14gr hammer ?

Guys English is a foreign language for me so sorry in advance for my writing mistakes :)
And thanks also in advance for your help !

Maybe I was too optimistic for my Taipan .177 Standard accuracy?

I wanted a new .177 for small pests in my garden. My garden is 40 yards to the center. I have a Taipan .22 and .25 but they are overkill and overpower for some of the small nuisances needing to be "controlled". My other Taipans are super accurate so I ordered a new Taipan .177 from UTAH AIRGUNS. I got an Element Helix 6-24x50 SFP scope. I spent 3 days using JSB 7.3, 8.4 and 10.34 pellets at every speed from 750fps to 1060fps and I could never get sub 1" groups at 40 yards. Needless to say, that would be hit or miss for most small pests in the garden.

So, I sent the rifle back to UTAH AIRGUNS and they cleaned and tested it at 35 yards and appeared to get a little better groups than I was getting at 40 yards. They returned the rifle saying it was fine. I tried again today and I still get a 1 and 1/8" group at 40 yards with little to no wind. I don't want to shoot heavier pellets because that defeats the purpose of the .177.

Was I overly optimistic in thinking that I could get the same or close to the same accuracy with the .177 as I do with my .22 and .25? If not, could someone please give me some help on where to go from here?

NSA Giveaway Ends Tomorrow!

Last chance! Don't miss out.

Who would base their pellet selection

on cost? I mean I am happy with,177,.22, and the one.25 I have, cost never entered the picture....now .30 might, but I really have no use for anything larger than .25
Geeze I've already been thinking about gas mileage for years,I would hate to have to think about pellet cost....oh no tell me it ain't coming to that.
Know what, I just give up candy and cookies. What if it was a conspiracy,to make all these great air guns , get people to buy them, get them hooked ,then raise the price of pellets.
Yea I have that T-shirt,"Shut up and Fish".....gotta get the one that says,"Shut up and Shoot".

NLA HW55 Tyrolean

This is a very nice example of an HW55T. It has a smooth shot cycle and is shooting
8.2 gr Meisterkugeln over 600 fps.

The metalwork is excellent with the exception of a scuff mark on the barrel (picture with the dime in it).

The stock is about average for its age. There is some fading of the finish under the forestock.
Looking carefully at the right side toward the rear of the stock you’ll see they used some wood filler. Purely cosmetic
but I don’t want a buyer to be surprised.

It’s a very fine rifle to look at and to shoot.

Includes the target sight shown.

A new fun gun

Today I received this B5 1 .22 thanks Tom #tkerrigan 👍
took it out of the stock. cleaned barrel. cleaned up the mainspring as best I could without tearing it down. moly on both ends of spring. lubed all the moving parts. I did put 2 drops of chamber oil in the port. let it sit in the hot sun all day. Someday a full tune but fun for now.

I was only able to shoot it about 15 times at tin cans 20 yard just to test it. missing once. I have not tested fps but sure it's above 500. It is accurate little carbine, probably do to the fixed barrel. The open sights I had a hard to get a good sight picture. A compact scope or red dot hum. The trigger is heavy but breaks clean.

This is going to be one fun little rifle.

My one bitch about my sidelever guns. Most of us are right handed. Put the cocking lever on the left. It would make it easier to load while still holding the lever " I ain't trustin no anti bear trap" I've learned to load left.

Predator Polymags really work (graphic)

What can I say? I read the glowing reviews, and heard the hype. So I needed to try some for myself.

The top of my shed is a rat highway. I set up my Wyze cam and HF ding Dong to alert me to them.

This morning at 03:00 a.m. I received the alert and grabbed my 0.25 Talon SS. Loaded a Predator Polymag and WHACK!

The force of the pellet hitting him back flipped him. Reviewing the carnage shows you the damage. WOW. I am, now a believer.

Long barrels are better?

What are some of the benefits of having a long barrel besides making more power? Let's use barrel lengths over 26" as examples. I bring this up as a topic as to me it's strange that manufacturers would not be putting more effort into shortening barrels to make them a bit more "harmonically friendly"?? Are longer barrels somehow more accurate than shorter barrels, or is it more of a fact without them they simply cannot make power to shoot slugs effectively nor efficiently?
