I have been working on machining a new internal moderator design for a couple months now and finally got it done and put together last night.... That's all I will say about it as it's taboo to discuss here. I tested it out today on my woods range and it actually works better than I expected... The first full magazine group I shot was a little low due to the little extra weight, I added a couple clicks to the scope and shot a second full magazine group at 50 yards....I'm very happy with the overall results.....

Having rodded a few pellets down the barrel I am rather worried about my findings first off its pretty tight getting a pellet in to start and has a pretty tight spot in the first inch or so, then feels a fair bit looser however it has a mega tight choke for the last 2–3 inches it takes a fair bit of effort to get the pellet through it, and I am not at all happy with the look of the pellets when they come out they look fairly mullerd nor happy about this! If there was ever a barrel that needed a good polish.

While I’ve been relatively pleased with US service for my high-end air rifles manufactured in the UK and Sweden (except for long repair waits), I decided to purchase a US-manufactured PCP.

Recently I sent my Evo back to Skout in Pennsylvania for a few minor issues, and was frankly and positively surprised by their prompt responsiveness and service.

Darryl (sales manager) and Keith (technical) provided immediate and extraordinary communications as well as attention to detail. Additionally, Bill Gardner (CEO) actually worked with his team on the final testing of the Evo. You’re probably wondering how I know.

I actually received a video of him conducting the final testing session.

Not surprisingly, my impression of the Evo can best be described as 10+ on a scale of 10. From my perspective in terms of design, features and performance, it is certainly a cut above the other high end air rifles I own. While my range is limited to typically around 30 yards, at that distance it’s literally hole in hole. In fact, I find myself checking the chronograph to verify that I actually fired the shot.

In conclusion, I could not be more pleased with this purchase and the extraordinary service. Supporting the notion that the overall user experience extends beyond quality, reliability, repeatability and accuracy, I recognize that for me, the service upon which a PCP stands is as important as the product itself.

I am delighted to state that Skout by far deserves the highest ratings on both.

All he wanted was his first squirrel kill for Xmas. The GF asked me not to bring any guns to Christmas this year since I cleaned house last year.

So I listened, and got this one early this morning at the house!



Sent an AEA 18.3 through the left vitals and out the right shoulder. Dropped like a stone out of the tree.



I was loading up the van with presents to take to dad's and caught this one going up the tree. I had one pellet left in the mag from yesterday's sight in. I grabbed the Pup and went out.

The rat was up in the tree, heading down a branch about to jump to the power lines. I lead her a few inches and she stopped just before the jump and I took my shot.

I tune and repair springers and PCP's for family and friends, I am a retired Tool & Die Maker and automation engineer and have lathe, Bridgeport mill and other shop equipment and precision measuring gauges.A friend of a friend wanted me to look at his FWB124D that would no longer shoot a pellet out of barrel. I worked on pretty much all the HW Weirauch/Beman German made springers and Air Arms springers but never a FWB, I agreed to take a look at his gun. However before tearing down his gun I came across a used like new 124D with same issue so I purchased . I watched a video on disassembly and it was pretty simple process, turned out that all of these FWB124 springier suffer the same issue. Disintegrated piston seal pounded into end of compression tube. I use a modified brass jag to pick out the pieces embedded into compression tube, cleaned everything up and installed a new ARH Pro Mac Kit with new seal and spring assembly.I used Tar, moly and some super lube on safety slide. Reassembled using my trusty robust spring compressor. I cocked and uncocked rifle several times before shooting, each cocking cycle distributed lube and rifle smoothed out. Also installed new breach seal and lubed barrel pivot with moly. I shot gun about 100 times using JSB Exact 8.44 gr pellets, pulled out FX chronograph and gun was shooting around 850 FPS so power has been restored and then some. The more I shoot this gun the silkier it gets. Then I installed Sportmatch Mounts and a Hawke scope and shot some groups and was blown away by this guns accuracy. Now I understand what all the fuss is about with these guns.
I ordered another kit and proceeded to do customers gun with same results.
One year later I came across another 124 in standard not the Deluxe with same issue, ordered another kit and installed, I now own two of these guns, both like new, however for some reason the standard version had a little smaller diameter compression tube so I had to resize the piston seal and this gun is about 40 FPS slower in velocity but still shoots incredibly accurate. Both of my 124's look like new and weren't shot very much by previous owners. I think i'll post some photos next.

I’m a very informal basement 10 meter shooter but I’m trying to be as good as I can be off hand. I have an FWB 300 S and it is a wonderful shooting rifle. I had it rebuilt by David Slade awhile back so it should last me a long time. But I’m very intrigued by the FWB 600 series and SSP rifles in general. I’m 69 and struggle a little bit with the weight of the 300. I see the 601 is about 1 pound lighter. Would it truly be worth it for me to look for a 601 or a 603?

Just dreaming here . What if a company ( HW or AA ) decided to build copy's of a Wiscombe rifle ? Exact copy's ! I would think the price would be maybe 3 to 4 K maybe $5,000 ?
Would anyone be interested ? I would otherwise i would not have posted this .

I used RENAISSANCE WAX. The stock was pretty dry feeling. Decided a good sealer was a good idea.
I think it turned out good.

I have a question about using Corpsman pellets as some experienced shooters here state that they never use them and proceeded to explain why.I use Crosman’s all the time in my guns and now I’m a bit concerned about it .
It apears that Crosman’s are of a harder composition, and may deposit this or lead up the barrel’s grooves which can only be cleaned out by a thorough scrubbing. The problem comes when switching to a softer pellet such asJSB’s‘s , Air Arms, or H&N’s . These more expensive softer pellets will then not perform as well as they should because the barrel is already lined with the harder Crosman residue and the softer lead will not replace the hard Crosman residue. . The softer lead will not clean this out. I generally switched between brands during a shooting session which I didn’t think was a problem other than it takes a few shots to get the barrel adjusted to the new brand. .
They also state that a well seasond barrel with thousands of shots using quality soft pellets can be negated by put 6 Crosman’s through it. Yeaks! My Pro Sport .22 shoots washed and lubed Crosman pointed ,as good as AA or JSB’s 16 gr’s . My Diana 54 shoots Crosman’s 7.9 almost as accurate as the 10.65 Baracuda Match which are more expensive.
Also what is scrubbing a barrel? The only thing I ever put through mine is a pull string, or a bore snake andthat’s it. The last thing I want to do is risk sticking a brush down there as I’m always afraid somethings gonna get stuck or I’m gonna damage the soft riffling groves .
Am I losing some accuracy in my guns when I’m switching between Crossman’s and other pellets without scrubbing the barrel every time?
also is there a simple safe way to scrub the barrel with 0% chance of doing any damage ? I don’t think a pull through will do it.

Where to purchase foster fitting male dust caps rubber ?

Brand new from gx website, first use. So luckily had some distilled water cause I have a cpap machine. Filled and plugged in , no switch thrown.
I hear a fan running…. Hmmm , push switch to ac and add water. Pump working. Check shut off dial, put dummy cap in and pushed start, confirmed building pressure. Press off and let run for a minute then flip ac/dc switch to middle. Small fan which is the inverter continues to run, I didn’t have a lot of time to see if it shuts off so unplugged.
Is this the way it operates? You have to unplug unit to completely shut down.

The English don't believe in firearms. I can only conclude this is why don't know anything about safe handling. They are so worried about the sun actually coming out for once, warming their bottles and going over 12 lbs they forgot that you shouldn't put gauges in front of the barrel.

Anyway I'm trying to find that company that makes the cylinders gauge cap that has a mirror on it.

Can someone help me find that brand or product?

I'm trying to teach my kid the sport on my older pellet guns first. The lack of safety in the design of these older items is rediculous.

There is so much more we'd NEVER put up with on a real gun here in USA but it's totally fine on pellet guns that can do similar damage. Go feel how wiggly a Delta Wolf trigger is. Not safe at all.

It used to be very popular to teach squeezing vs pulling the trigger as "you should be surprised when the gun goes off". Yeah, no. I've never let that happen in my life. 2 or 3 times on air rifles though, through unacceptable levels of inconsistency.
You know how many times I have put my hand in front of a muzzle to thread on a surpressor on a real gun? Zero. How many center fire guns do I have that aren't at least designed to be drop safe? Zero. (Except shotguns, I suppose it is true those are not considered drop safe, either, but you'd hardly call that center fire like rifle or pistol.)

If you are aware of any other items that fix poor European safety designs I would love to know.

I am reading these post about swagging presses for long time maybe years, so far I had not much interest to invest into that direction. Instead of making my own amo whatever design that would be - that amount of time I was investing into my shooting, training and practising.
It it not mine to say or proof that some new slugs design will (or not) improve the scores, but the pellets I am watching everyone makes are all the same cloning of existing shapes and parameters.

Recently I started shooting f-class longer ranges, a friend was reloading for me. At some point I decided with mutual interest to do reloading DIY -and invested into equipment.

And here comes my Question:
- Why reloading presses and in our OP the slugs/pellets presses - all rocker style? (came to my mind watching the europeanairguns new press and saw the guy was kind of wrestling with it - this comes if you don't eat a good breakfast first )
Why not rack and pinion or eventually shaft driven?

Brand new never fired AEA Zeus gen 2 with 16'' barrel. Has bigger airtank, foster fitting fill and picatinny rail. Was going to use it on a hunt but hunt fell through. Beautiful stock and not a mark on it and just to big for me. It's a monster at .72 cal. Was $800.00 but will take $700.00 plus $50.00 shipping

I ordered a 2024 Huben KY from Kelly in Missouri (Krazycool Airguns) on Saturday. I ordered walnut stock in .25 caliber. The rifle arrived today.

Kelly was so great to work with. He included some AEA pellets a brand I've never shot before, but hear good things about. Super fast shipping. Even faster than Krale.

The gun arrived aired to 300 BAR and Kelly says it shoots lights out at 55 yards, his test distance.

You see an Immersive zero eye-relief optic on the rifle, the 10x40 which I like very much. Looks like I'm going to have to add another base to the base on the Immersive because I can't get up on the lens very well as it sits right now. I have lots of scope mounts though.

I'm hoping to get the scope tightened down and sighted in at 13 yards as soon as my new knee (10 days ago) says it is ok. I'll be shooting the 33+ grain AEA. I do have a bunch of various weight JSBs and Hades as well.

I'm hoping this gun is terrific for what ails a fine grey squirrel in my hickories and oaks? The gun is superbly finished, very light, and a perfect length at 32" for me. I will not need to add a moderator. It is plenty of quiet as is.

Before anyone freaks out, I used the scope cam to record, wasn't shooting this beautiful bird. My awesome neighbor strikes again! Was wondering why the doves seem to be hanging out somewhere else lately.

Many of us have noticed more difficulty in shooting skills as we age. If you are over 40 or so you no longer have the ability to adjust your eyes to varying distances like before. You may notice you are slower at acquiring clear focus. Needing more light is also pretty much expected. Thankfully we have many wonderful scopes and red dot devices. Getting older also brings things like cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. Anyone noticing issues with glare, halos, floaters, dryness? How are you coping fellow shooters?

How has the m4 single reg been working out for folks? Is it as consistent as the m3, given the higher pressure differential? Anyone adding a front reg back in?

my question is why they would recommend a 30 Cal mod for a 25 Cal?
i had thought they were sized to caliber to keep quiet or maybe because I'm shooting 30-34g slugs.
also recommend i buy a couple extra baffles which makes sense for tuning purposes.
i have no issue with the factory hollow can that came with it its quiet and shoots well.
i was just thinking maybe with a modular you could tune better by adding or taking away baffles.
but i had also thought to stay correct to caliber due to it will be a louder bark? not sure 100%
what's your thought?
