Not sure if this has already been discussed but my wife and I were watching the very first Jaws movie last night for the, I don’t know how many times, and for the first time ever I couldn’t believe how they killed him! Anyway I just thought I would throw some airgun triva out there.

I am setting here in the dark with no power from a storm. I was thinking. What are options that I may not be thinking of for shooting extreme FT. I think I would prefer non electronic. I would enjoy looking at a list of candidates that I may not be thinking of.

I received an new Leshiy 2 from Edgun Spain a few weeks ago, the configuration is as follows; new forward plug, EAR, 350mm barrel, .22 calibre, LW barrel, 5mm puck, 2x1.2mm power jets.

First tests at 30y with over 16 various pellets were ridiculous, may as well brought a 12 gauge, then upon inspection & dismantling the moderator I noticed they'd supplied me with a 4.5mm baffle insert by mistake, which they rectified & sent me a whole new moderator with the correct baffle insert size. So now my groups have tightened up to about a 50p size at 30y, using JSB 18.1grn.

But stretching the gun out to 50y the groups are terrible, you can actually see the pellets spiralling out of control? So im thinking there's something not right with the tune of the gun, sending back the gun is a no-go, it took almost 3 months to arrive in 4 boxes......a bloody logistical nightmare & complete headache.......(be warned if your thinking of ordering one)!!
Now I also own a HW110 & a HW97, so im semi proficient at shooting & can group both those guns nicely at 50y, so shooter error isn't the issue, nor is it trigger control, scope, even had a gunsmith check the barrel in case it was the issue. Using an FX chrono the guns standard deviation & spread is very good, only a few FPS

Can anyone please share data with me on power jet sizes, reg pressures & puck sizes.......this whole area seems a conflicting mine field of cloak & dagger information out the on the web? I'm not chasing power, or even really shot count, just accuracy for clean dispatch at 50y.

I have designed a new Air Gun Target that can be used with .177 and .22 caliber Pistol or Rifle. It is designed to be used at 10-Meters but can be used at other distances if needed. For every body that would like to shoot on a regular basis in their backyard but are limited to a small area, this can be a very competitive target to use.

Five targets with two 10-Rings on each target, the inner 10-Ring is designed for .177 cal and the outer 10-Ring is designed for .22 cal. To score a 10, the pellet/hole must at least touch the appropriate 10-Ring circle. The outer rings ( 5 through 9 ), scoring is standard, and that is; where ever the pellet/hole is, then score that Ring’s value or in case of a Touch or Break of a Ring use the higher value to score. A perfect score of 250 would be to “hit” all five of the 10-Rings with all five shots per Target.

OK every body print up a stack and go shoot some targets today and have fun.

I have attached a pdf copy of this target for an easy download and printing. Couple of suggestions for a download:
A) I always use FireFox to download, but others will work OK.
B) Be sure to click on the “Fit to page” in the upper center of your screen before printing, this will assure an accurate full scale print out of the target.
C) Note, on the upper middle of the right margin on the target I have included a “Scale” showing 1/4", 1/2" and 1" so that you can check with a ruler to confirm the print out is to correct size.
D) I have included 5 Sighter circles for checking your rifle and scope prior to shooting the Targets.

I have added a scanned copy of the Target so you can see what it looks like.

I have setup strelok pro for my FX Wildcat mk3. I have entered everything correctly and double checked. I am using an Element Optics Titan MRAD as scope aswell.

Today I went out and my zero is at 27 metres/30 yards with h&n 23 grain slug at 935fps. Afther that I stretched the distance to 65 metres/71 yards, this is the farest I could go here. The app calculated I had to go up 1 mrad(10 clicks).

Now I dial the scope and take my time to shoot a group of 5 slugs. However ; I actually had to dial 15 clicks to reach bullseye and not 10.

Im a bit lost here, I tried the trajectory validation for FPS and the app says I am only shooting 849 fps..? Took my FX pocket chrony and my wildcat is shooting spot on 935 fps so nothing is wrong with my Wildcat.

Tried the BC validation aswell, but it gives me 0.03 in BC which seems unbelievable low for a 23 grain slug.

What could be the problem here?

If you use a 600 mm long barrel, make sure you use a 480 or 300 CC bottle. Because a 580 CC bottle will interfere with an optional moderator due to the extra length.

Went to range to shoot my RAW HM1000x from bench at 50 yards. I'm trying to find just the right hold for best consistency. Anyways, it wasn't terribly consistent this morning. I'm shooting carefully weighed and head sized JSB 25.39 redesigned (22 cal). The first picture shows my typical accuracy at 50 yards today.


The orange square is 1/2” so I was right at MOA or so. But I just wanted those tight groups so I worked on a standard target. The bottom left target was my fluke.



There are six shots because I was planning on 10 shots and sixth shot went high right (behind caliper). Like I always say, but rarely practice "quit while you’re ahead"
