PCP Rifle  SOLD WTT

I have a new Huben K1 in .22 I would consider trading. I have arthritis in my hands and have a hard time loading the magazine. I paid about $ 1800 I would consider a Daystate rifle in .22 or maybe a .25. It is the synthetic stock by the way. I have a little cash if I trade up. Let me know what you have. Thanks

AEA  The Pellet Shop is fantastic to deal with !

I very recently bough an AEA SF Compact in .22 from The Pellet Shop and after it arrived I found out that the SF Compact and I were not well suited for each other.

They were very patient with me and spent lots of time resolving things and very open and "up front".

The issued an RMA to return it even though "all sales are final".

Great store, great people and if they'll have me as a customer, I'll give them as much business and referrals as I can.

PCP hand pumps ... Other usage?

Looking at pcp hand pumps , compressor and there over view pictures are funny at times .

Like hooked up to a springer or pump shotgun . Or something off the wall .

Anyway. What other use have you used your hand pump or compressor for ?

Like airing up you car tires , paint gun, raft, .

I am curious on how it would air up a full sized car tire like a 16 or 18 inch ford f250 or 3/4 ton truck tire . Like 2 pumps from a 4500 psi pump ?

If you got a experience thin on some outside the box use let's hear it ..lol

indiana opening day Crown Continuumm

Today was Indiana opening day for squirrel season, got in woods at 7:15 and was done at 9:30..all were shot off hand closet 20 yds farthest about 40 yds, all head shots.. I love this gun so very easy to shoot offhand with the 380mm barrel.
Last 2 I killed were in a huge shag bark hickory and there was so many squirrels in the trees that it sounded like it was raining, you could actually smell squirrels..wont make sense unless youve ever been under a tree alive with squirrels.
Sorry for the bad pic but it was starting to rain when I got home so was in a hurry..

Ammo was 18 gr JSB at 826 fps. Cat was trying to steal the scene and squirrels

Big game hunting with air guns

In a discussion of $3000 airguns the thread started drifting into use of airguns on large game. Deer and larger game. A view was expressed that it is not very ethical because airguns do not generate shock and the theory is that means a slow death for the game. I do not agree with a lot of that view.

It is true that airgun velocities are like handgun velocities or black powder gun velocities. The tissue in our quarry will expand much more slowly due to the lower velocity and it will be able to collapse back eliminating any shock damage. I think looking at ballistic gel projectile paths for airguns is misleading because of this. But when the only guns were black powder velocity was similarly limited and lots of large animals died. I used to live in PA and have a left handed flintlock for their primitive weapons season. I did not kill a deer with it but I am confident a 45 caliber lead ball will cleanly take a deer at close range. It has been done many, many times. It can break the shoulder bone to get to the lungs.

Some enjoy using handguns to take large game. Even a 44 magnum is too slow to create shock damage to animals. So it kills by making a hole just like an airgun or a black powder rifle. Game up to and including Cape buffalo have been taken with them. I would not attempt that but to argue they won't take a deer because they do not generate shock is just incorrect.

When I shoot a squirrel with my 177, 22, or 25 caliber airguns I usually get DRT results. There is no shock. I use only domed pellets so they do not even expand. They make a big enough hole in the head or chest and the animal dies in seconds.

Airgun fpe can be as high as 1200 fpe which most would admit is enough for deer. But most are much lower. Airguns have to be large in caliber to make fairly high fpe but that means their projectiles do not need to expand to make a large enough hole to kill a deer. I tend to agree that most of us should not use guns which will only work if we make a good brain shot. Not a head shot, a brain shot. But with a 45 caliber airgun we can be right up there with blackpowder guns and large bore handguns.

State game commissions exist to ensure the animals are taken responsibly. Most allow airguns. They looked at the evidence and decided they are big enough.

I only use airguns for small game but with the right gun, I am sure they will ethically take large game. Not at hundreds of yards but cleanly and ethically.

PCP Rifle  SOLD AEA Zeus 58cal. Mountain Metal Chassis Kit

Hi Guys,

Names Jeremy and up for sale is my Zeus 58cal it’s gen 2 with a 32 inch barrel and the build was just completed and this rifle has had a total of 8 shots fired through it since me buying it new either April or may of this year. So with the Mountain Metal kit on this rifle as the gun sits in the picture I have about 2,500$ in it. I’d like to get as close to 2,000$ for it as possible as the gun is still in mint condition it’s had 8 rounds through it and a lot of love and no scratches at all. Please feel free to contact me at 3527403952. Due to a family emergency I’ll need to sell for cash and am unable to trade at this time. I honestly haven’t even got to shoot it in the chassis because of medical stuff going on but my loss could be your gain it’s definitely a power house and a 16inch barrel swap make this guy hunting season ready for carrying around in the woods right now it’s definitely outfitted for long range shooting. I have the 72 cal Mountain Metal Barrel Band & 72 cal Self-Timing Muzzle Break as well included as well as wood stock to go with it.
Local pick in Bowling Green Kentucky would be awesome but will ship for free with tracking with purchase of rifle. Will send copies of my identity and will need proof of yours as well as signature for the rifle upon delivery but would be awesome for you to see the gun in person and make decisions.

Fold up shooting chrony. Can it handle 12.6v?

Not sure if anyone here will know the answer to this question. But I have an old chonry. It's the fold up shooting chory beta modem. Picture below. It uses 9v battery to power it. The battery runs out all the time and i always get the low battery warning. I'm tired of getting 9v battery for it since they cost like $8-9 for only 2 battery. I was thinking of cutting off the wire and attach an dean plug so I can use an lipo battery. The lipo battery will last way longer and I can always charge it. Then I won't have to buy those stupid 9v battery. But lipo comes in 2 cell (7.4v) and 3 cell (11.1v). The 2 cell is probably too low for it. The 3 cell when fully charge is about 12.6v. I am worried the 3 cell lipo will fried the chonry. So my question is, does anyone know if it's safe to use an 3 cell lipo battery for these type of chorny?

Anyone bore out a Donny?

I'm in need of a moderator for a 357 build that has 1/2-20 threads. Currently has a mod but it still requires me to use ear pro when the gun is full tilt.

I was thinking of getting a 30 cal Donny with 1/2-20 threads and just bore the passages open for the 357/9mm projectiles to pass thru.

Shouldn't compromise the moderator I think. Going bigger threads isn't an option, nor is shrouding the barrel on this one.

Anyone know which mod, Donny or other serviceable type brands, that can handle 130 fpe and make it backyard friendly or at least mostly?

Don't Sleep on Older AGN Hunting Threads...

I'm not sure why, but 2021-2022 has some of the best AGN hunting threads I've read. Thankfully I was able to be a part of that era. We had guys nailing everything from chipmunks, raccoons, squirrels, and woodchucks to hogs, coyotes, nutria, deer and more. Then the pesters were going crazy on starlings, rats, grounds squirrels and more. I may have to start compiling some of my favorite threads from that period. Maybe it was due in part to the pandemic shutdowns. I'm not sure, but we had a nice crop of airgun hunters. The one's I can think of are @gendoc, @Cheplicki, @AncientSword, @davidsng, @jwrabbit123, @Emu, @Flintsack, @sasquatch, @Monkyshine, @L.Leon, @Max115, @N2 Shooter, @Blackpaw, @Dairyboy, @dizzums, @Gerry52, @orion, Dana from Mountain Sport Airguns (he no longer has an AGN account, but still has a YouTUbe channel. His threads and videos have the username "Removed" on AGN) and more. Some folks had different user names back then, but it was a very active and memorable era. I know I left some folks out because I'm not recalling everyone off of the top off my head. I went back and reviewed threads from page 65 to around page 109 in the "Hunting" forum this evening. Good stuff. I got a bit nostalgic reading some of my older threads. I'm glad I documented some of my activity and shared it with y'all. One thread in particular was some of the best time I've ever spent airgun hunting. I learned a lot and some members were extremely helpful in my learning. For those that were around and participated in the beaver thread, thank you all for being a part of it. I loved it!! If you go back and read some these guy's threads, you'll probably learn some things. You will definitely be entertained if you're into hunting and outdoors. I don't know what's going on right now, but I'd like to see an uptick in the "hunting" forum. Some variety and excitement. Many of us used to get excited to be outside and excited for one another. I miss that. I dont' know what to expect in response to this post. It was just something on my mind.

PCP Rifle  SOLD WTS RTI Prophet Performance .22 LR (REDUCED)

RTI Prophet Performance with the .22 long range pellet barrel. Shoots the Redesigns at 970 currently with more than enough room to go up or down to shoot the 18.13.

Very accurate, reg is stable at 140 bar and comes with 2 magazines, hard case, after market cheek rest. Not a safe queen by any means but functions as she should and the accuracy and power for these guns is damn impressive.

Bought this for a small barn gun but just more than I need for what my purpose is.

Say 700 shipped.

Scope, rings, Atlas bipod and moderator not included.

FX  Fx impact m4, why did they got rid of 1st reg?

I almost pulled the trigger on the m4 but then found out they got rid of the 1st reg. Why did they get rid of the first reg for? To save cost? Or were ppl having too much problem with the 1st reg. I think I saw where ppl say they getting leaks from it. If fx got rid of the 1st reg then why sell it for $2199? Why not sell for $2000 since you removed the 1st reg and put a plug in. Now we have to spend $40 on a new gauge and $100-150 to get complete 1st reg to install on the m4. I could just get a m3 but the m4 look way cooler with other upgrades so why would I downgrade to the m3. But I am not gonna get the m4 due to them removing the 1st reg. Aint gonna spend $150-200 extra to install that. The reason I want 1st reg is to use 300 bar bottle and also lower the bottle pressure from 300 bar to 180 bar b4 it goes into the 2nd reg so less stress on 2nd reg. It will also creep less and also get more shots. Isnt that the reason they put the 1st reg in the m3? To battle reg creep and put less stress on the 2nd reg. Can't believe they would downgrade on that part. I guess I will wait for the m5 and see what happens.

I'm looking for a multi-pump air rifle from a Mfg. who has consistent Quality Control... Any suggestions?

After much searching of countless reviews today, with screws falling out, bolts that have a heavy drag, triggers that freeze, what's described as a flimsy pump system and so on from some of the Seneca Dragonfly Mk2 owners and their reviews (although their are plenty of happy 4 and 5 star reviews that state no problems right out of the box) I've come to the conclusion that there has to be a manufacturer with better overall quality control than what I'm seeing from Air Venturi. It's maybe a step down, at least in price, but does Crosman still manufacture their air rifles in the USA, I've seen a general consensus in their reviews that for the low entry level price they are pretty reliable and accurate air rifles. It maybe that with the low prices no one has high expectations but I'm not sure.
I may have to give up my search for a multi-pump and go with a break-barrel but for now I would like for my first air rifle to be an accurate and reliable multi-pump... Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated...
