Pigeon hit squad?

Pigeon hit squad shirt? I've always wanted one of those "pigeon hit squad" shirts, but can't find them. I ordered one during the whole FX USA money issue a couple months back, but never received the shirt. I got a refund, but I still want a pigeon hit squad shirt. I definitely believe that I've shot enough pigeons to have earned the right to wear one lol, and I shoot FX rifles so no misrepresentation.

Will harass the songbirds no more.

There has been a pair of crows harassing the many songbirds on my property Let's say one of them will not be doing this any longer. Vital shot in the breast dropped him from twenty yards. Was sitting in a one of my douglas fir. Had the XS60C charged from yesterday and it was very convenient to grab.

N/A  Low powered guns

I know the cool thing to do these days are shoot slugs and heavy pellets at 1000fps+ but I haven't been known to just go with the norm. Crazy take but I love shooting low powered PCPs. My newest acquisition was a gently used Uragan Compact .22. Came shooting 817fps with 16gr FX pellets. Nice speed but at that level the gun felt and sounded alittle harsh. But my plan was to back it down anyways for barn use. So I tuned it to 600fps with the same 16gr which put it at 640fps with the CPHPs for a nice 13fpe. It just sips air and is such a pleasure to shoot. The cocking effort is basically non existent and paired with a red dot makes a great 30yd and in gun. I did shoot a pigeon at around 45yds though yesterday with it and still easy to do with the red dot. For close range pesting in a backyard these are perfect power levels unless you deal with larger pests like a raccoon or something. I think if you haven't you should definitely try a low powered gun. You might love it.

Are you a tuner , just love sending lead only or bit of both?

1. Are you a big time tuner who loves those knobs, gauges and dials?

2. Are you a just let me shoot air gunner?

3. Are you a little bit of both?

I will tell you what I am. I’m a little bit of both kinda. Please keep those knobs dials and gauges away from me. I’m the one knob tuner like on my Leishy 2. I just set to 850-880 and I don’t touch a thing anymore. Ground squirrels don’t complain. All my guns are simple pcps. I feel like we create unnecessary leaks by touching everything

HW/Weihrauch  My old 55 still has it

I haven't been shooting at all lately(too busy). I finished up my day with some time and a bit of light left so I grabbed my old HW55 MM, a set of sticks and a stool. I was shooting old JSB 8.4s that were in a pouch. Aim point was the big orange dot. I started at 10 yards. The pellets just kept going into the same hole despite my seemingly shaky hold.
After 10 shots or so I moved back to 15 yards. With the same dot as my aim point the pellets were hitting the same spot as at 10 yards so I picked a lower aim point and put 10 shots into another small group! Well of course I had to try 5 shots at 20 yards-the light breeze moved the impact over a bit but I'm happy with the result!

I've had this one over 40 years and taught my son and daughter to shoot with it.
Thanks to Motorhead for the rebuild.

Accessories  SOLD HW50S Maccari walnut stock

Walnut Maccari HW50S stock in almost perfect condition but does not fit my long trigger block early 1960's HW50S nor my R8.
Maybe this would fit a new version HW50S, or if you are a master with a Dremel tool?
The receiver forks do not quite fit the stock? Best to contact me and discuss this?
Beautiful stock otherwise...$200 plus shipping.

GX-E5K2 is on sale and available finally...

I run one of these myself to fill a "Great White"

For the money, super hard to beat for a home compressor. Thing sounds like a sewing machine running. Water cooled and can run up to 10hrs straight.

It's like two cs4's on steroids. But, it's definitely not portable...however you can run this in your home and watch TV in the same room🙂

With the current availability and price, definitely worth a look!

FX  Impact M3-lowered reg for accuracy

Shooting H&N 25 gr. HP slug II's .218 dia., I lowered the 2nd reg from 119 to 111 so max velocity was nearer desired velocity. Even in today's wind it was obvious accuracy was improved and ES down to 3-4 FPS with velocity at 995. I didn't take pictures but figure minute of squirrel head regularly at 100 yards and knocked down five steel rams with seven shots at 200 yards. Considering the breeze I was chuffed! Macro at 8, micro at 4, & valve at about 4. 1:24 STX liner with expoxied carbon sleeve.

As I've said before, this rifle makes velocity with ease, but I think 130 bar is the max with my stock hammer weight and spring. Oh, and still only changed the breach O-ring and really don't think I needed to. It's been 2.5 years and thousands of rounds downrange.

HW/Weihrauch  Looping

I’ve got 3 rifles that are major loopers. HW77k, HW97k both .25 and HW30 .22. They’re my favorites for plinking. I scored 10 tens of lead .25 cal. yesterday to meet demands. You shoot, it’s like a delay action when finally hitting their mark. Also more often than not you can watch its path, especially in the winter with a snow background.
This is my 77 .25. As adictive as heroin.
IMG_8308.jpeg

Accurate, you bet, no different than their relatives .22, .20 and .177. And when it hits my bell targets at 47 yds. through a 1 inch hole it pounds it.
On my range I have targets at 25, 30, 35, 42 and 47 yds. I have no problem adjusting.
I have no problem with the other calibers which I have more of, I just enjoy these more. I would really like a 98 and a R9 in .25. Fisher got me hooked on the 98 .25 idea. I’ve tried ordering but since Covid, Weihrauch won’t send .20 or .25 to Canada.
‘Anyone else like to lob lead?

FX M3 POI Shift (With vs Without Shroud)

Where are all the FX M3 experts. I need some advice because I cannot figure out what the cause is.

AIRGUN
FX Impact M3 700mm STX pellet liner. No mods, stock standard. Floating barrel with carbon fibre inner barrel liner.

TEST CASE
I went to the range to test the “barrel indexing” theory with my M3. To do the test I removed the shroud and silencer because it is easier to loosen the nut in the front of the barrel and rotate the barrel (FX lingo, the liner) each time between shots.

My “indexing” results - The POI remained the same no matter what rotation I do to the barrel i.e. positions 12h, 3h, 6h and 9h, all the same POI. So barrel “indexing” did nothing for me.

Note: During the test nothing was overtightened, mostly hand tight or a 1/16th of a turn with a 10mm spanner (Front nut on barrel).

PROBLEM
As soon as I put the shroud and/or silencer back on the gun there was a huge POI shift. 3cm to the right and 3cm up. When I loosen the shroud, say half a turn then the POI returns to normal but the shroud is loose.

Other than a misaligned shroud (End to end) I am stumped what the cause is?

Anyone else experience this?

PCP Rifle  SOLD Thomas 177 WFTF/HFT, current mono block

really don’t want to do this but I am just not shooting it because it doesn’t quite suit me. This is a recent/2 year old Thomas with mono block and slow twist rate 177 barrel, absolutely phenomenal/magical barrel with amazing accuracy with FX 10.3 pellets. However it dos NOT like lighter 8.4 or 7.9 grain pellets so stick to 10.3 or higher pellets. Currently tuned down to 12 FPE or 10.3 pellet @710fps by Motörhead, deadly accurate and great in the wind. Motor head did his magic tuning with lighter custom hammer and spring, there is no muzzle flip and really really “dead”/settled. Will also include original spring and hammer to turn it back up to HFT.

This is your chance to get a Thomas for the world! $3900 shipped in the hard case as pictured.

PCP Rifle  SOLD Weihrauch HW110 22 Caliber PCP Air Rifle - $700

Nice shooting 22 caliber PCP air rifle – very accurate. It has the laminated stock and the factory noise reducer. The stock has two small marks that I’ve shown in the pictures. Two magazines, the fill probe, and the adjustment wrench are included. I’m the second owner. When I received it, it had a slow leak. I took it to Pyramyd Air and they gave it a complete re-build. It holds air with no issues. $700.00 which includes free insured shipping. U.S. sales, only. PayPal friends and family is preferred but I’ll also accept a money order or a check with a hold for clearance

Brocock/BRK  BRK Ghost long term

Added another box of slugs to the empty pile this morning and decided to lay these out for a photo.

This is since Sept of 2022. It represents entire tins or boxes shot solely by the Ghost. Shots taken when experimenting with other possible pellets are not here.

There are...
4x500 of the FX .177/10.34
8x200 of the JSB .22/25.4 Monster RD
11x300 of the NSA .20/18.9 slugs
8x500 of the JSB .20/15.89
13x500 of the JSB .20/13.73
I'm totaling that out to 17,400. I'd guess that the testing of various other pellets and slugs would get it closer to 18,000.

I've enjoyed every shot.

Air Marksman VS Joe B SCBA

Hello,
My compressor just kicked the bucket and i’ve been throwing around the idea of getting an SCBA tank.
After reading through a bunch of threads it seems like Joe B’s tanks get a lot of great reviews.
Utah Air and some other retailers sell the Air Marksman tanks.
Are Joe B tanks worth the price difference? I’d be looking at ~$850 shipped for the “9l” AM or ~$1100 for the Great White with all the bells and whistles. Not a whole lot of difference in the grand scheme of things especially considering the GW is made in the USA.
I think I already know which one I want but thought i’d see if anyone had some insight lol.

Snowpeak  Free PP750 buffer folding stock design for the 3d printing enthusiasts.

I just finished my PP750 buffer folding stock design a few days ago. I made it available for free for all 3d printing enthusiasts. The mechanism was designed by "Mussy" and he gave me permission to remix his design. It's a strong, solid mechanism. Non-commercial use only.

Enjoy.
