HW/Weihrauch  My Venom HW77 Verminter

Refinished the stock with Napier's London Oil, new seals and new Macarri spring. Polished the internals and lubed. Initially shooting JSB 18.13 pellets at 16-16.5 fpe. Super smooth cocking cycle. Not difficult to cock for an old geezer like me. No buzz or twang and a nice light Record trigger. I noticed that the sears were all polished so someone did some work on it.

Next I will start zeroing the scope and shoot some 5 shot strings with various pellets. I imagine the Venom will produce some great results.(y) Some misc photos:

Daystate  Sapphire.25

I bought a gorgeous Daystate Wolverine Sapphire in .25 caliber for EFT.

I love love love the Wolverine; especially the new sapphire stock!!

Unfortunately I had to send it home for repairs due to obvious clipping issues even when using an oversized moderator.

Quick turnaround and Got it back yesterday and set it up this morning, Sunday and I’ll be damned ….. still clipping albeit not as significantly because they tried to cure the issue by using a larger diameter 0DB moderator while explaining to me that a .22 moderator baffle was inadvertently used during moderator assembly. 🫤

Obviously I have a barrel or shroud that is tweaked or a breech block that is not 100% true?

I’ve asked for a new barrel and shroud to see if the fix is simple but I’d hate to think the breech isn’t machined correctly on DayState’s flagship mechanical rifle.

I own 4 Wolverines and this is the first airgun out of over 20 that I’ve set up that has had a clipping issue.

I tried several different .25 moderators including Huma, Air Impulse, Donny FL, STO, and 0DB and unless I used a .30 moderator zero was impossible. 💩

N/A  A Few Pistols

I've said several times that I dont particularly care for air pistols and am not that great of a shot with them anyway.... so why do I have a section of wall of them in my gun room?
Was in there tinkering around today since the weather is still crap here and decided to snap a little pic.

Diana  Model 34 Washers on barrel bolt?

When putting one back together that I just got (that was a train wreck) there was no washers in the recess over the barrel pivot bushing. I was watching a video on YouTube yesterday and it looks like on his particular rifle there were thin washers.
My gun is a very early T1 made in 82 or 92(can't tell if it's 9 or 8)

So what do you think are they missing or possibly some early guns didn't have them?

Other  Two for sale near me

The local gun shop, that deals mostly in muzzleloaders and other vintage firearms, also gets in air guns occasionally. I have bought several there. Currently they have two I have handled and thought about, however I think they are a little high on the prices and will not negotiate. Both guns are in like-new condition. One is a Marksman model 55 break barrel and the other is a Benjamin multi pump, with wood stock & forearm. The price is $80 on the Marksman and $100 for the Benjamin. What do you all think?

PCP Rifle  NLA Price Drop - Vulcan 2 .30 Caliber $950

I have a Vulcan 2 .30 Caliber for sale. It's in excellent condition. The gun is totally stock and has been a safe queen. It's never been adjusted. Less than a tin of pellets through it. It is a hammer of an airgun and I think too powerful for my neighborhood. I love hammering squirrels with it!! It shoots JSB 44.75 grain pellets at 870 fps. It is very accurate. It includes 3 magazines, fill probe, degasser, AGN filling hose, o-rings and a hard case. I'm asking $1100 $950 shipped to you in CONUS. I prefer Paypal, but if you would rather do something different, let me know. I have sold many airguns on this forum and have all good reviews. Scope is not included.

Shawty B’s bigger brother

I’ve had a ton of requests for this gun past several months. Since the debut of AR’s Shawty B (Specifically developed barn gun) I was getting requests of this same setup but in say a higher power Truck gun. I finalized the gun’s build last week and is available now. Specs are listed on my website. A truly rugged gun and simple design with less points to fail then any other.
A slug version is going through testing now but not sure at this point if it would meet my accuracy requirements to make available. Time will tell.

Airgun Technologies  AGT Uragan 2, Threaded Barrel?

I posted earlier that I have been researching the Taipan Vet 2 and AGT Uragan 2. I am trying to confirm the Uragan 2 barrel uses grub screws to hold the barrel in place instead of being threaded into the block/receiver. Just curious what everyone's thoughts are on the 2 different means of securing the barrel. My research shows the Vet2 is threaded, which seems like a better design compared to grub screws. Your thoughts?

Thanks,

Vern

New here

Hello-

New to the forum and airguns in general. Recently purchased a Crown MK2 and am excited to get into this sport with my son. Also, trying to knock out my 10 posts so I can reply to the post looking to trade his Saber tactical for a Laminate. My rifle came with a right handed laminate and I’m left handed. The deal was to good to let go….

Why no winter competitions?

With Northeast Air Classic in April, RMAC in June, Pyramyd Cup in August and Extreme Benchrest in October, would be nice if there was an airgun comp in maybe January or February, in Florida or some other warm southern/southast climate during the winter months.

Would one more competition be one more too many? Maybe just wishful thinking on my part as I’m off during the winter months, sure would break up the monotony.
