GX CS4 grease..

My grease pot is empty ( didn't think I turned it that much ) and I was wondering is anyone knows what the best grease is? Not sure if greases want to be mixed but probably not that important if both are synthetic... EDIT.. It's not empty.. The rubber gasket was stuck inside that pot you take odd and all buggered up. Grease pot is actually almost full meaning the grease isn't getting into the machine.

RAW Rapid  First time RAW owner with some questions

I received my .25 RAW Hm1000x yesterday and I have a few questions.

I did a search, and it looks like there are a couple different answers but the 480cc carbon tank says it's good to 250bar but the manual says to only fill to 230bar. It's no big deal to only fill to 230 if that is what the specs call for, but I did see some people that said the reg and the tank can both handle 250bar without a problem.

I ordered a left-hand rifle because I will only be shooting benchrest and wanted the cocking lever on the left side. On the left hand rifles the fill port is actually on the left side of the rifle but I would rather have it on the right side. From the vids I have watched it looks like you can just remove the tank and flip the port and gauge around, so they are on the opposite sides, is that correct?

Last question is what moderator should I go with to quiet this rifle down some? Looking for the best bang for the buck.

Annual Thanksgiving Holiday Hunt

Every year my buddy comes back into town for Thanksgiving and we plan for a day out Squirrel Hunting. This year we stayed local and were granted permission to local Farms in the area so we spent the day Farm Hopping in the search for Grey Squirrels.

We ended up passing up a lot of Fox Squirrels on the first Farm, but after the 2nd and 3rd Farm we hunted will little to no Grey Squirrel Activity it was time to start Harvesting the Fox Squirrels.

We ended up Harvesting a few Greys and around 4 Fox before calling it an early day to share some glasses of Blantons Whiskey he brought in. All in all these Annual Hunts are always something we both look forward to every year.

This year I set him up with a Compact Impact in .25 Caliber and I sported a Custom Crown that I had completed a day prior. After hunting with the Crown for the first time I really enjoyed the more Traditional Feel of that rifle and was very impressed with the .25 Caliber 12.5" TJ Barrel shooting the Hades.

Diana  48/52 .177 new to me.....arrived !!

got it about 2 hours ago, stripped her down for a good cleaning...took 6 ballistol patches and 2 dry to
clean barrel.
removed the front and rear sights because i will use optics only.
stock is in good shape and will be perfect for the 'black job'
DOB- 11/94 looks like brand new and has stop pin holes in dovetail rail.
testing this weekend, even in the rain.....targets only getting wet !
i got to find a heavy pellet or preferably a slug for its accuracy because with light stuff, its
too hot to control.
she will be perfect for pest critters on my cardinal feeders close to the house.🧑‍🌾

Who works on HW100 pcps

Havent shot my HW100 for 2-3 days, went out to shoot today air was full put in mag loaded pellet pulled trigger and just a boing if that makes sense.
Thought maybe didn't feed pellet tried again same thing, so now had 2 pellets in barrel, had to get dowel and tap out, they basically fell out when I touched them..
I took cylinder off and reinstalled but didn't help, if I tighten it a little too much it starts leaking and doesn't want to stop it seems.. Do you keep tightening it even after it leaks till you cant turn anymore or just snug it a little..I snugged it up then backed off 1/8 turn.. doesn't seem to be a definite stop unless you were to crank it down.
Did some research and says can be the valve or regulator neither of which has been messed with all Ive done is shot it 200-300 times this week.

Who works on these guns as Ive never torn one apart nor do I wish to because if I mess it up then someone has to fix my screw up, rather have it done right the 1st time.

After a while of reading some people's posts, I got

to see where they are from. I wonder if any of you people; do the same thing.
In other words,is there a pattern? Yep I know, but patterns were some of my learnings.
Some of you have big spaces to shoot,or the English guys got good info on springers....
Me.Northern Calif...(y)

N/A  Spring gun hold(yes we all know)

I was just at the indoor range shooting my R7 .177 at fifty feet. I was zeroing a scope I hadn't remembered where it was at. The gun was shot rested in my hand with my hand on top of a hard sand bag.
After I got it where I wanted I decided to see how it shot rested directly on top of the sandbag nestled in my shoulder. As you can see the groups dropped an inch plus and were all over the place.
I ended this session with one group from my .177 pro sport. Also hand held over a rest.

When I see these guys on YouTube resting their spring guns in a sand bag I wonder how they get them to group ,I never have been able to? I shoot bench rest with low velocity cast bullet powder burners and i'm very familiar with how to control a gun on a rest.I've given up trying with spring guns!

Steyr  Steyr Pro X....Interesting Air Gun.

My Steyr Pro X is a difficult gun not to like...Shot a few groups today at 30 and 45 yards using JSB 18s. This platform isn't one to make big HSA adjustments at least mine doesn't like big adjustments...too much or too little and the mag will jam...but my guns sweet spot happens to be 874 fps...right where I wanted it anyway...shooting off the attached bipod and bag in the rear on my plastic bench dime size groups at 30 and sub quarter at 45 y were easy...trigger isn't capable of much better but good enough. This gun can sure go through a bunch of pellets and I didn't keep track of the shot count but must be around 70+.Dosn't like Crosman domes at all...So 874 fps 30+ fpe dime at 30 quarter or better at 45 without cocking...(has better in it with better bench) interesting

Diana  Diana Model 75 a little disappointing

I just got a diana model 75 yesterday, it looks very nice so I think it is ready to shoot. I spend about an hour to cleaning and oil it up to made she looks prettier. The wood stock is very good and the bluing is shiny, cocking is smooth and I really like the cocking sound, the trigger is very light. I was very excited and I fired it, and then the pellet didn't move. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
I really like the rifle, but I know model 75 is hard to repair especially that I have two stupid hands.

In other news, something funny from the NRL22 rules

This has a field target tie-in, trust me. Here is a quote from the NRL22 rule book:

"Adaptive division is an optional division that will be available to any competitor that has special needs/considerations severely limiting their ability to participate in the match as written. This division is intended to allow participation in the monthly NRL22 courses of fire for individuals who are no longer able to perform a significant amount of the motions published within the course of fire. A few examples would be competitors who have had spinal fusions preventing prone positions, or competitors who have declined mobility due to many years of living life to the fullest, or folks who have a passion for precision rifle but shooting the published course of fire would result in a long drive home in pain followed by another day or two of being stiff and sore. It is up to the Adaptive division participants to have reviewed the course of fire prior to the local match. An example would be utilizing a tripod and stool instead of shooting prone, or using a stool when shooting from the saw horse or tank trap tips."

This made me laugh. If we had a similar division in FT, 95% of FT shooters would qualify for the adaptive division.

Bleeding water from tanks and guns.

Just wanted to see what others thoughts on this are. Both scuba and SCBA tanks valve assemblies have a tube that extends down into the tank a few inches. This is an important safety feature for breathing use as it prevents any water that might be in the tank from entering the valve and being inhaled by the user. For an airgunner however it is undesirable as it prevents us from bleeding out any water that might collect in our tanks. Removing this tube would most likely cause the tank to fail any visual inspection by a dive shop or other commercial source of air, so that's one potential downside of eliminating it.

It seems that it should also be possible to blast water out of the reservoir of a rifle by orienting the rifle so that any water within it will drain to it's lowest point and then dry firing it to expel it. The exact positioning may vary from gun to gun, but it seems that if you were to store the rifle overnight so that any moisture in it would collect where the valve feeds from and then dry firing the rifle while retaining it in that position should expel any water in it that has collected.
