I was so busy looking for the right slugs for this little beast that I had the better choice of ammunition right in front of me.

Still looking for the correct slug but man o man this thing sure breaks the rules.

FX 18.1 pellets flying at 933 fps yes 933 and for whatever reason this little CZ choked barrel doesn’t care flying them pellets hot and stabilizes them very good

Rifle is zeroed at 50 yards. And from 30 to 65 yards it’s still hitting a penny size target without scope adjustments.

The amazing thing is that the 18 grain seems to be the sweet spot. 25s or hybrids won’t shot better. Even the 18s shot or are more predictable on cross winds.

First target is a full mag of 16 at 50 yards ( stupid flyers )

Second is a Ram steel target at 100 yards ( fixed target ) Body shots were 3 ( next to it is a 22 slug pellet for comparison) and 10 shots in the head I was trying for the hole in the horns got 4 through the hole 🕳

We know that a standard FX Impact regulator piston is made of delrin. It has a pretty poor coefficient of thermal expansion comparing to brass. Brass is a much better choice. It is more rigid and tough which is pretty important when we think about high reg pressures. FX offers a brass piston as a replacement of the delrin one but it has two major limitations:
- some people reported problems with setting high pressure - the piston is longer than a delrin one and there is not enough threads to accomodate that,
- the air passage hole is too big. Huma regs use the air flow restrictor in a form of a screw. Thanks to that reg does not get hit that hard when there is a big pressure difference between the air bottle and the plenum. The plenum is replenished more gradually with flow restriction. Delrin piston has that flow restriction but sometimes reg recovery takes too much time. My goal was to deliver faster recovery time than a delrin piston but slower than FX brass piston.

Because of the above limitations I came up with my own design and here it is.






The air passage holes are 0.3mm in diameter, where a human hair is up to 0.1mm in diameter. Drilling technique was pretty tricky to avoid drill breaking (the angle was the greatest challenge):


But the end effect is insane:


After the break in period there is virtually no reg creep.

There are two versions of the piston:
- 4x0.3mm air passage holes - faster reg recovery time. Should work very nice as a bottle reg piston replacement,
-2x0.3mm air passage holes - slower reg recovery time. Dedicated as a plenum reg piston replacement.

The dimensions of my pistons are exactly the same as a delrin one. There is no problem with achieving high reg pressures.

So we have a pretty big elusive groundhog here on our small farm, and he is a problem. If i can get the job done, has anyone smoked a groumdhog before?

Thinking about selling my MINT 2500 carbine. Has never been outside. I did some testing in my indoor range to see power levels and had plans to use this as a hog gun but I have lost interest in air guns lately and downsizing to my backyard guns for awhile.

Less than 100 pellets have been through this rifle.

Comes with 2 6 round revolving magazines, a custom Niel Clague moderator, and a threaded adapter for the barrel to be able to use 1/2-20 moderators.

Functions flawlessly and is very loud and powerful. I can't really shoot it much in my neighborhood. The Niel Clague does tame it down very good.

Has a westhunter 4-16x44 30mm scope on it as well, pairs nice with the rifle.

This Leshiy was purchased new and received in GA 11 months ago. I have added 4 items: Wika Gauge, additional filler probe, larger grip for storing a filler probe on board and a DonnyFl baffle. The only adjustment made was with the hammer spring to lower the fps down to the upper 800 range. Out of the box it was well over 900. Original digital gauge is working and included. Holds pressure, no leakage. The wrapping you see in one photo has been in place for protection.
It has seen very little use. $1,300 plus shipping. If interested we will determine a payment method. F&F preferred.
PS: I have several scopes not being used. Depending one which one you might like or need, it may be included with the Leshiy.

Alrighty…here goes. First impressions are very important. Packing was superb. It came in a complementary gun case with 2 mags, a vertical fore grip, a fill adapter, and a forend picatinny rail for bipods with the housing and screw included too. Stock is superb and very nice. Only issue was that the finish underneath the cheek riser was incomplete. In fact, it was a white piece of wood with no finish at all with some spillage around. Luckily, I have boiled linseed oil on hand and got a factory like finish on it. The sidelever is very firm and crisp. However, it needed some oil and compared to my Maverick…it is not as smooth and light. But, it definitely feels good.

I forgot to mention that the shroud is quite stiff. In fact, it is a lot more stiffer than my Maverick shroud (*cough cough FX). A rifle that costs $1000 less has a stiffer barrel which surprises me. You’d think that somewhere in there they’d squeeze in a better shroud stiffening system (yes I know they have the new stiffener system, but it should be standard and not an aftermarket purchase). Anyways, I may not even need to get a barrel band for it (for those of you interested in getting a custom barrel band, DM tdhouser1964). Chrony and accuracy will be next. Let’s see what $630 can get you. I plan on going turkey hunting with it…so I’ll let you know how that goes.

Went to my local UPS center on Monday to ship an air rifle back to AOA for service. Big new sign at the counter said in bold print “No Longer Shipping Firearms.”

Counter manager said the only way one can ship a “firearm” is if you get a call tag/label from a licensed manufacturer or dealer that has “registered as such with UPS” in advance.

He said that no one had instructed that he couldn’t take a pellet gun or air rifle yet, so he went ahead and accepted my shipment.

Went back the next evening to ship an air rifle that I had sold via AGN classifieds , only to have to argue with the female clerk that the new policy didn’t apply to airguns. I finally convinced her to accept it.

The world continues to change and not in our favor.

I probably will never get out of the PCP world but,.... it's mainly because to sell my guns would be a huge pain ( posting, dealing with buyers, packing and shipping ) and I will never get what I would like to.

But,.....if I could sell all in bulk, guns, pumps, ammo, extra parts I would do it in an heartbeat,
it's not that I'm tired or don't like PCPs anylonger is just that I don't target shoot or plink ( and that is a huge reason airguns are a big plus )
my hunting is very limited nowadays for a variety of reasons and even my Marling 60 would do everything my airguns do.
The big challenge in hunting big game with airguns has been the driving factor in my adventure but now I can definitely say it's not that strong anylonger so,.......yeah I feel my time would be here.

Well I ordered this rifle from Krale in August 2021, it showed up today. I already have a CS700 stock, moderator and Airmax 4-12 Scope waiting. I haven't even shot it yet, I will this weekend. It will go off soon for a tune unless there is no spring noise.lol I wanted to put a couple of pictures up and will post more once the changes are complete.

In mint condition, never fired. This Extreme Big Bore was engineered to fire with compressed air or helium. Still have the original paperwork. Ok has anyone put together and dual Yeng Hong.. so there is less stress but fills fast and is still cheaper than most compressors.. I have been thinking of building a rack to use with a cooler tank and filter for water and oil seperation and making it semi portable. Think it could be the perfect solution with less money and faster fills and that way your never down and cant fill guns or tanks.. just shut one side down.

Hatsan Hydra in 25 cal. Holds air perfect and shoots well. Very clean other than the cpl marks on the stock pictured. I do not have the baffles for the qe shroud but it really isn’t that loud without them. Including a hawke 2-7 X32 scope and rings. I have the original box, 2 mags, single tray, probe and the other few things it came with. Looking for 240 shipped.

I have an FX impact M3 600mm barrel and I am trying to shoot custom made lead free slugs and pellets. Since the lead free ammo is harder than the standard lead versions they choke seems to have a much greater and negative effect on the bullets especially with slugs since the lead free alloy is harder than lead. I was wondering what the best way to get a unchoked barrel or barrel liner for an impact. The two ways I could think of are buy 700mm heavy liner and have it cut down to 600 mm and recrowned by a local gunsmith. The second option is to get a barrel blank from TJ or Lothar Walther have have it milled to fit the transfer port which sounds like it would be much more costly and I worry if the gunsmity has never fit a barrel to an impact maybe it wouldnt turn out as well but if done right could be a better barrel in the end. Are there any other options I am not thinking of to get an unchoked barrel for my impact M3?
