SOLD .22 pellet and slug lot

I no longer have .22 caliber airgun so time to clean out the closet. I've got a variety of pellets and slugs all shown in the picture. There are only two that have been opened those are the two large tins of Hades. They both have 450ish in them though. Everything else is full tins/boxes. There is probably about $230ish worth of pellets roughly. I'm asking 150 for the lot plus shipping.

For new guys, do not let cost run you off

Pcp air guns can be insanely expensive. When I first got into this hobby I was shocked at some of the prices of air rifles. Way back as a kid I enjoyed pump
Rifles. Then the brake barrels arrived and I think it can't get any better than this. Well
.a few years back the entry level pcp,s came out & I became hooked on air guns. I have been a gun lover my entire life. Every thing from smokeless powder
To black powder. But now a whole new world of hunting and just plain old plinking. I could never get into the higher priced guns but I do not care. I,m enjoying
This hobby as much as anyone. The company's as hatsan, air venture Aea have opened a whole new world to us old Joe lunch bucket guys. I thank the air gun
Manufactors that opened the market up to retired folks as myself.

This rifle is a tank and shoots like one too.

Shoots 33.95 jsb @ 895 fps very well

Groups on splatter target are at 60 yards (first two GROUP pics)

Last group shown on splatter target was 115 yards full magazine.

Old Troglodyte

I acknowledge that bringing the new technology and appearance to the Airgun Nation site must have been a very difficult, time consuming and potentially expensive endeavor.

I do appreciate the ability to "view the forum in a traditional notebook style format." This perhaps allows AGN to continue to be somewhat useful to me.

I am saddened that the reputation, post counts and accuracy levels which members such as myself worked so hard to achieve are gone (at least currently?) And it doesn't appear to me that the new system, where one merely presses a 'Like' button instead of specifying why an accuracy point was being given is as useful or meaningful.

Admittedly I am viewing this only from the perspective of a user. I have no clue as to whether the older format and 'technology' was getting to the point where it was impossible to manage from the perspective of a site administrator.

Maybe I'm just too much of an old guy - heck I only access AGN on a computer and not a phone. But I'm also one who shoots Cowboy Action, and maybe I'm more used to old technology - like guns from the period of the late 1800's!

Forced to update,,,, again

So the magazine in my maverick did not like getting fed with 20 grain slugs, and the rifle more or less jammed with every attempt to chamber a shot.
So what is a man to do ? hit the internet shops of course and spend more money. :)

So i ordered a Carm slug magazine for the maverick, and a single shot tray for it too, and then for kicks a magazine for my Vulcan 3.
And i must say so far it have all worked well, i put a heavier hammer in the Maverick as the stock one did not allow for much more than 800 FPS speeds with the 20 grain slugs from Zan, and then i cranked up the REG pressure a little.
And now i have to go to power wheel setting #1 and loosen the hammer adjuster to the max if i want to shoot 13 grains and do that at reasonable already confirmed good speeds.
With a bit of hammer adjustment and on PW setting #7 and the 20 grain slugs fly 970 FPS.
So now i am good to test those at reasonable speeds next weekend.

I did not specify any particular colours when i ordered at Carm, but i got black and toxic green, which i think work fine.
I have not tried the AGT magazine other than it fit in the rifle, but i think i might end up liking it more than the original AGT magazines.

Accuracy points

While I appreciate the time and effort put into the new layout, I feel it's a huge loss that accuracy points were not preserved. Looks like forum join dates were...so is there any way accuracy points under the old profiles can be imported under positive feedback on the new layout?

I think many of us used accuracy points to judge the safety of making deals, especially trades or partial trades. Plus, I know for long time members, it is definitely a well-deserved status marker.

Other than that, nice work, definitely modernized, it'll just take me a minute to get used to the new layout.

Another “first gun” question.

Okay, I have been looking and searching but there are so many models I have no clue where to start. I purchased a Benjamin Prowler NP a few days ago and it didn’t shoot worth a crap so I returned it. We’re talking 8” groups at 20 yards. I’ve been shooting and working on guns for over 20 years so I know what to look for when shooting and what to do. I tried everything and it just wouldn’t shoot. I did like how it was light it was and how quiet and that it didn’t rely on any outside air source. I’m basically looking for something I can take walking in the woods and go plinking like an old .22. I don’t want it to be too heavy, I want it to be quiet, and I want it to shoot at least pretty good. I just want to be able to shoot and plink without spending $100 on ammo like you would a .22. I’m willing to spend around $500 for one if I have to. I was looking at the Marauder but it’s heavy and relies on a way to fill the tank. The biggest issue for that was the weight, it’s pretty heavy. I don’t know whether to get some kind of spring piston, or PCP or even where to start. I just want light, quiet, accurate and the power source is not the biggest deal.

FX carbon fiber air bottles

Carbon fiber..? Seems that they are much more aluminum than carbon fiber to me.

Some brands go the other way and use more carbon fiber thickness, vs. aluminum than FX does. When I hefted my new little 300cc FX bottle, it is much heavier than I figures it would be from handling some similar sized bottles for spacecraft, while at work.

Makes me wonder what other air gun manufacturers are doing. Thicker aluminum or thicker carbon fiber ?

Mike
