Saber Tactical TRS rail not impressed with the Install

Yeah I understand how it can happen, I have some machine work experience. But the level of accuracy I have seen in ST makes that much less likely compared to the average part on the market now. Not saying its impossible, just surprising.

Taipan  Bullpup question

Hmmm, i had the shroud off, but maybe I didn't inspect close enough. I mean a quick look seemed ok. But i might not have noticed small burrs.
Only reason I say this is mine had a bad crown that was a .22 Long and I know of another guy who had a .22 along with the same problem. Could have been a bad batch a .22 Long barrels that the crowning tool was bad. Like above I've owned 8 different Vets I think in all different calibers and lengths and only one had an issue with accuracy which was my Long. But with the recrown it's now my most accurate airgun I've owned.

Why some prefer high power .22 over .30 vice versa

This post got me curious about different BCs because it seems to be a hot topic these days . I looked Hard Air and they did some in depth testing. I only shoot .177 and .22 cals . One that really stood out in .22 cal was the 31gr Altaros slugs with a BC of .121 going 765 fps . I guess they hold a 1400 yard target record also . I mainly use 18gr and 25.39 grain pellets in .22 cal and the 25s seem to have a decent BC . In .177 I mostly use KOs with a .047 BC and they do not disappoint expanding around .25-.35" in squirrels at around 30 yards at 880 fps . I did find a chart another member posted in regards to JSB pellets that I thought was interesting.

Tuning  Fx King .25 600mm

Slugs like to run fast in general. If they are all over the place at 905 fps, them bump it up to 950 or higher. If it doesn't work at those speeds then it's not for your air gun.
Hello thanks

I have been boosting the fx to over his max 1050 fps butt become even worse I have been trying different brands en weights butt no good results unfortunately in the beginning I head the problem with clipping in the silencer maybe it’s the liner what not good 🧐

Crosman  Crosman Silhouette 1701P Oiling and recommendations

Looks like after searching over the internet on other sites, I believe, I can use the following Moly on the gun.

STA-LUBE SL3330

Still looking for opinions on the Clenzoil Silicon Lubricant, has anyone use it on a Crosman PCP 1701P Pistol?

Thanks and regards.

N/A  What is a good Airgun

I am not fond of Umarex but their Zelos (SnowPeak M60) is pretty darn good for the price point. You can find them for about $425 at some websites. You can use the funds you save and upgrade the Zelos to a bottle version for more shots for about $150 at air gun archery fun.

Air Venturi Avenge and the Avenge-X are solid air guns too. I personally haven't shot one but I have heard great things about them.
My Avenge-X is laser accurate out to 40 yards. The Zelos bottle upgrade is an awesome and easy to install upgrade as well. Got the 5L carbon fiber bottle and valve from Wes at AAF and couldn't be happier!

CS4-i/CS4 grease pot diaphragm replacement

Grease pots are the same. Earlier compressors had a poor rubber diaphragm material that would expand over time.

New ones are a different material and do not expand, they are available from GX

Weird
My early model CS4 the grease pot is great. The K2 one of the pots were sucking the grease like mad., so I made these. I'll probably order a few rubber discs just to have on hand. Thanks for all the info you post on the GX compressors.

Battery powered GX CS4?

I did a little googling and I think I found what Target Forge used. If you search Amazon for a 18V to 12V step down converter I think you will find them. The good news is some even had the battery dock too and were only about $25. The bad news is the biggest I saw was only rated for 240W. That would probably be fine on the GX-CS2 but you'd probably blow the fuse with a 350W CS4.

Searched a little more and found a 30A, 360W one on Alliexpress for about $25 delivered.

I also found what I call the battery dock on Amazon with a 30A fuse for $10. So for about $35 it seems you could do this. I checked out the watts for some 18V tools and it can be over 1000W so a 350W CS4 should be a fairly light load for the battery.

Taipan  Vet 2 questions.

In my research I found that the triggers are the same, the valve and reg are the same, cocking is even smoother than the Gen1s and POI stability seems the same. As far as the chokeless barrel I'm not worried about it with pellets. Have had great success with them in the past. Either way I will be putting it through it's paces hopefully by tomorrow evening

That’s about all you can expect with short barrel and small air tube even with the ports enlarged to the max.

Huben  Gk1 need help

Just a note to the OP from personal experience of mounting a laser on a pistol. The only advantage of using one is short distance shooting. In that role the closer the beam is to the barrel center the more useful it is. The further the beam is from the barrel center, the more hold over/hold under is required. Mounting a laser at the bottom of the air tube on a GK1 will not be very effective. The PP700 SA has a milled dovetail on the side of the shroud. Using that as a mounting point allowed a 1/2" offset left. Anything more than that is problematic when shooting at a mouse size target. Jus saying.

Boring and cold
