So looks like I was able to salvage it. Chopped the end off with a hack saw and ended up with about 3 threads that did work to hold the baffle retainer. I then had to grind down the one side of a baffle that had the lip to guide another baffle onto it. I slid the shroud on and installed everything and came flush to end of shroud. So unscrewed shroud enough to install baffle retainer then tightened back down. There's a small gap at the back end that can be filled with an oring. All back together and seems to be shooting just fine. I should inspect scope more like all screws and such but no issues seemed to be found there either. Got damn lucky I guess I still have a usable gun with no noticeable effect performance wise. I will probably paint the shroud and stock now though. I might also JB weld the retainer nut in as it doesn't have that many threads to hold it on

Sorry that happened to you Dillan . It gets all of us at some time or another. You had a great attitude about it by sharing it with the rest of us here for some free entertainment haha. I hope it works out for the better in the end. you truly are a pleasure to us here on the forums and have tried alot of different models over the years and shared your experiences with us all here. Thank you for that . (y)
Haha yeah that was my intent. It ducked but wasn't end of the world and wanted to be lighthearted about it. Sadly wasn't the first time either as I had a Daystate Regal somehow fall out of my safe and bent the tip of the shroud where the threads were. Had to get a new shroud for it. I got lucky with this one though and able to make it fully functioning still haha. I appreciate the kind words also I have been blessed to try many guns and happy to give my opinion to help others choose on there next one.

It'll buff out right? Lol

Dairy, Oh I feel your pain, my NP-03 rolled off my MTM shooting rest last week in the Man Cave range . I was refilling the mag . The ATN scope makes the gun top heavy. It struck a chair that sets by the corner so I can run through the Chrony data , Bounced off then hit the concrete ! I saw the 3D moderator scooting away. The shroud broke off just behind the threads. Thought I may end up going to a local machine shop ,then I found a supplier in the UK that had one . I'm waiting for it now. AND I'm going to get another shooting rest ,maybe a Caldwell Stinger.

That sucks. At least you were able to find the shroud! Yeah a new shooting rest might not be a bad idea after that.

I had a similar thing happen to my Evol two days ago. I was carrying it on my shoulder by the sling when the sling swivel broke. Tip of the moderator hit the gravel hard leaving a mark in the finish but didn’t faze it otherwise. It didn’t even cause a poi shift.
Oh crazy. Yeah as much as I know the Evol would have taken the blow just fine I'm glad that one didn't fall. But that is a definite testament in how over built these Evols are!
