Howdy! I'm ready to dip my feet in the world of air guns. It's the only way to get a functional suppressor on a "gun" in my state! Looking forward to learning from everyone.
Welcome to AGN.
I have some questions:
Do you have an airgun or caliber in mind? what type of shooting would you like to do? What's your shooting background? what's your budget? It will help with the responses you receive.
Welcome to the best AGN.
Stan in KY.
any idea what you think you would like to do with air powered projectiles ?
You're welcome,PCP 22 cal for target shooting, pest management, and plinking cans. I'd like a short carbine with removable stock so I can use it as a handgun too.
I got into shooting ~8 years ago. Mostly recreational pistol/rifle shooting and on occasion pistol competitions (steel challenge).
Budget <$500
Thanks for the questions
Sounds sketchy as hell. Not really a good first post, just seems odd the way things are going.
There are plenty of topics about different smaller air guns. Do some searching and reading, then come back with a more specific question.
Yeah I smell something too odd first post and odd requests

No hostility at all, like others have said... just weird. Many of us also come from the firearms world and have silencers for those as well. It was just odd how you stated the first post. Just remember that the mods for an airgun will NOT fit on a firearm, and are made to not handle the pressure of them. Please don't try and don't think about that, and honestly if your state doesn't allow firearm silencers I would check to make sure an airgun silencer would be ok. You don't want to be on the wrong side of a law because you didn't know. Remember ignorance of the law doesn't excuse you from it. Just be sure before you buy anything to make sure you wont have issues. Not sure what's sketchy about it.. I was just introducing myself like others have done and someone asked about my intentions with air guns and I replied. My OP didn't have any questions or requests. I don't understand where the hostility is coming from
Gotcha. Air gun suppressors are legal here and I’m careful to follow the law. Hobbies aren’t worth ruining my life over.No hostility at all, like others have said... just weird. I know a while ago there was an Air Arms TDR in .22 on Airguns Of Arizona I believe. I had one years ago and it was an awesome gun, one I shouldn't have sold. There are many new guns that would fit the bill, but honestly one of the older guns that are built well will last quite a long time. As well as hold their value if you ever need to sell or upgrade down the line.
Many of us are on firearms forums as well and they are CONSTANTLY getting bombarded with people looking for a reason to get people in trouble. Many pop up asking sketchy questions, and when people do looking they find out that they are "unsavory" or "glowies" looking to entrap people.
