Possibly you're blowing a lot of air after the projectile has left the barrel. If you like more power I'd try with a heavier projectile.

Aha! Thanks for your reply airman Interesting point - I’m using 44.5gn slugs currently maybe I’ll try 55/60gn and see what happens with them - because I surely don’t wanna go smaller on jets or higher on reg pressure as would be so inefficient and overcooking it a bit…..

I have no interest in 30 cal and cannot / don't want to comment on that .

But I spent a long enough time in this game with jets to figure out what combination doing what.

First, you didn't said what is you barrel length. You just said the jets are 0.1 and 0.2.

So a wrong combination is leading you in a wrong way.

0.1 and 0.2 jets keeping the Dwell open for long = possibly wasting a lot of air.
Short barrels with wrong - long Dwell = possibly wasting a lot of air.
And here it comes the low fpe, you blew the air in the air and not to propel the projectile.

Larger number of jets will close the air blast faster until the projectile is still inside a longer barrel rifling.

I did mention in the original post that it’s a 350mm barrel - I started with bigger jets and with the same reg pressure I was getting only about 830 fps - max I got was about 918 fps average - with 2 x 0.1 jets - so I swapped one of them for a 0.2 and lowered the reg a ting little smidge and it’s at 905 now -

Appreciated - all I want is compact power! 2 or 3 mags will do for my needs…..
