I have the U2 in .25. You made a great choice. It is an awesome gun and shoots slugs great. I am currently shooting 50 grain Alteros in 1 hole at 50 yards. Not sure how you could justify spending another $1000 for a U3 when the U2 does it all.

What fps are you getting with those 50gr .25?

Out of the box my U3 compact .22 was shooting low 900’s with 15.9’s and using a lot of air. One thing I have found out, the hammer spring screw will only allow one turn out before interfering with the stock if you need to tune down a bit. The interior of the stock needs to be recessed to prevent this. In my case, I needed two turns out on the HS screw and the stock would not go back on. The hammer spring screw interferes with the stock and it will not line up with the side holes to reinstall the stock. So I sanded about 1mm off the base of the hammer spring guide which gives the equivalent of one turn out, in addition to one physical turn out (2 total). The gun was wasting too much air. I adjusted it out just enough to see a 10fps drop and my full fill shot count nearly doubled from 36 to about 63 at 890’ish with 15.9gr pellets. I have not done anything to the reg yet but fps falls off at about 110-120bar. Accuracy is very good with AEA Center Punch 15.9 unsorted pellets. Attached is a 50yd bench rest target shot indoors.
