Best compressor?

With he demise of the Shoebox compressors if mine ever becomes unserviceable I would not think twice about replacing it with another similar one like Altaros (like @intenseaty22 suggested). 

IMHO speed = heat. Heat = wear. To me low maintenance and slow fill times are ok. It's not too hard to budget time to let it run for the 1:45 it typically takes to top off my tank.

My sentiments exactly. I like the idea of using my shop compressor and filters to take care of the first 125psi. No reason to spend extra money to have these incorporated into a high dollar unit. If/when my F10 ever gets to the point I can’t keep it running, the altaros booster would be my first choice.

You are going to need a very high CFM compressor for the Altaros to be comfy FYI...

Personally, I've never considered a booster and wouldn't. I'll pay to have the faster fill times. Others are different. Something out there for everyone these days.
