Tuning Carbon sleeve FX Crown.

danny5692:

Thank you so much for sharing the stl files for this design. I was wondering whether you would consider creating a repository or shared folder that contains the stl files for all the designs that you have shared, and from which one can download all these files. As an example, I am hoping to download the design file for the FX crown power adjuster wheel, so that I can 3d print it.

Thank you again!

Long story short, I bought an FX CF barrel sleeve from Talon Tunes before I saw this thread. When I disassembled the gun, the spacers between the barrel and the shroud obviously would not fit. So I called Talon Tunes and Tony told me they weren't necessary just toss them. So I did, and I fired the gun after reassembly, with a DonnyFL on the end. Well, obvious to me now, the shot caused significant damage to the DonnyFL. That sucks. Lesson learned. Fortunately that was it.

Then I found this thread, printed up the RTL, but the design did not turn out because I have a normal FDM printer not a resin printer.

So I designed my own version.

I have printed some extra so if anybody in the U.S. needs them check out the classified. Rigid, high temperature and strong ABS plastic that won't warp if left in a car on a hot summer day. (I wouldn't use PLA for these unless you're sure you'll never leave your gun in a car or truck on a hot summer day). They are for 0.25, but if you have a .177, .22, or .30 FX Crown get me the outside diameter of the CF sleeve and I can print some up for you to test. Check out the classifieds.

excellent work!!!

In my 600mm crown barrel I also added the carbon liner sleeve but I just used 1 factory spacer at the very end and so far so good. IMOH having only 1 spacer at the end make the barrel behave more like a traditional free floating barrel, spacers in the middle only introduces variables when it comes to harmonics and primary reason I want the liner sleeve.
This works?
I just got a crown mkii and want to install a cf sleeve very soon
