EDventure: although I have a ProDelux by Caldwell, I find it cumbersome to use, setting up the tripod and all. I've long coveted having the FX model. If you'd care to share, let me know and I'll send you any necessary shipping and my gratude. Thanks, Orvil Hazelton

This is cool, but the Garmin might be worth saving for. Especially if you shoot high-power guns too.

For a casual shooter, do you think that this is a worthwhile upgrade. I have the original version and it seems to work well. I do like the idea of the rechargeable battery.

I just got the V2 from Utah Airguns. Now, I have the Caldwell Kit that works but is finicky. I have to use the lights which requires an extension cord, the tripod is shaky, it only works thru the printer port on the side and I have to start things in a certain order. This V2 will be worth its weight in gold if I can just attach it to my Taipans and shoot. No set up and take down involved.
