R9 tune kit

The one on my picture would just fall in or out with little to no resistance. High impact plastic ..lol..i like that and going to use it.. ya, i guess ill someday when i do a order get another hw and a vortex seal and swap them out for testing .. its got to make it all worth the shipping vs alone + shipping thing or gree shipping on any order code.😉

This #2 arh seal is slow vs his first seal above but cant complain on overall shooting outside not as flat a arc.. ill can get over it till i get that more stuff to try out. Or next time i yake it down take a bit more off the seal again ..

This may have been covered already. My HW95 ARH kit came with a top hat, spring, rear guide & lube. I ordered a 26 mm seal from Vortek and Krytox GPL-205 lube. My factory seal was damaged by dieseling and this is a pic of old & new Weihrauch seal.

After a through clean/polish I installed a piston foil sleeve, (was in rifle new), a thin washer, (also in new), top hat, spring, & rear guide. I also lube sparingly with the GPL-205. The cocking shoe was thoroughly polished and now the cocking cycle is absolutely soundless until the piston latches into the trigger. The rifle is shooting 17 FPE using H&N FTT 14.66 gr 5.53 mm .22 pellets & yesterday I had an MOA group at 25 yards from a table with bags. This is the shot cycle.

This new of the 3 arh seal with like 500 shots you can see the imprint of the transfer port in the face of the seal. Now funny the 2ed arh seal with well over a 1000 shows nothing . All using the same pellets (.177 cphp). Also i thought the fit was right and a little tight as well on it.

View attachment 303943 now the old loose as a goose and rock hard hw seal that was in it and just maybe 4 months old. It had to be banging hard to bust out the center.View attachment 303944 plus the hw spring was busted in 4 places .. pretty sad for just 4 months old and a hw/r9.. great quality, right?
Anyway plenty of twang on it ..lol
Yeah Mo-Ron,
For a seal and spring to look and do that in 4 months is ridiculous.
The gun wasn't right from the factory - likely no lube and excessive slamming of the piston in the receiver's end.
I have had good luck with the factory seals - how many shots in 4 months?

The lube was kinda ok . That slam looks like the end result..lol.

My guns do get a pretty high shot count daily shooting but still so do the others still shooting issue free for years .
A tin of 500 count dont last long around here weather permitting.

Funny this is the 3ed r9 from pa the first got sent back it would not even do 400 fps. / Rma. the 2ed one was rusted so bad the barrel hinge was near froze up and squeeked worse then a old barn hinge new out of the box../ rma. This one the rear sight was all the way right and still hit 2-3" to the left.

There won't be a 4th ever from pa .ever!

I got that left thing straighten out and sights dead center hit bulls dead on now.. over at gta my steel wool patch thread.. man the rifling had wads of jb weld like crud in it took 2 days of soaking ( plugging the muzzle and filling with solvent for hours drain and scrub what it could and repeat) with solvent and scrubbing to remove it. Once that mess was out it was shooting straight as a arrow.. ya, i was swaring off anymore hw's if that's what i now get for that money..lol. You add up the nickel and dimes on top of the cost of the gun i got hosed...lol
