FX  Dressed up DreamTac

I got tired of seeing black and dark earth rifles and thought I'd dress up my DreamTac a bit in some color. I'm going to add a blue 0db moderator and I'll be done. By the way it shoots just as good as I think it looks. Ergo grip, Zulu stock and Westhunter rings.
Now, if I could just get around to cleaning of my work benches!

PCP Rifle  SOLD Challenger Pro .30 PROJECT $175 FREE SHIPPING

I have an AEA Challenger pro in 30 caliber that only ever worked for a couple of shots. And then for some reason it won’t reset the trigger or hold the hammer back when you cycle the side lever. It holds air and everything else is fine about it. It’s basically brand new because I only was able to shoot it a couple of times. I just don’t have time to mess around with it so I’m letting it go for cheap so if you have time to mess with it, it could be pretty cool. The only thing that I don’t have for it is the buttstock. But you could use any AR compatible buffer tuse and stock. Let me know if you’re interested by calling or texting 928-846-0437 $175 includes shipping

N/A  Jumping head firt in a rabbit hole

Im my quest to find a good slug gun to get out to 200yard and whack critters im struggling on the good fit gun. Im looking at the vulcan 3 in .30. I would like to buy a new complete gun. Not one that cost me an arm and leg and need to be completely reworked to shoot slugs fast. Im in love with the fx m4 but not crazy with a $2000 gun that needs everything replaced to push slugs. I would like to stay under $2000 is there better options than the vulcan 3.

Will the price of air rifles growing hurt the market?

I keep watching the price of air guns sky rocketing and wonder when will they flood the market to the point they start
losing money?🤔 The question is not will it, it is when? The economy will dictate that. Just look at the auto industry,
the RV,s, boats, ect. Now yes I see new models being sold out every day as you do, but how long will that last. I wonder
just say the a 357 Bulldog that just a few years back could be bought for around $600. Today $1000 bare bones. You
people know what I,m saying. Avenger the hottest selling pcp could be had for under $300 just a few years back. Now the
same gun is still priced around $360, not bad, but you can find the new stock models for over $700? I would like to here your
thoughts on this?

Brocock/BRK  brk ghost perfect fit

for those that want to increase the LOP of their riffle and do not like 3d printed parts here is the best solution. it makes a massive difference in stability and it only cost 18 euros . a wegu shotgun butt pad with a hole drilled in the middle.before the riffle was wobbling in my hands(very long arms and neck) now it is solid as a rock

585 yrd plinking .25 M3/AbsoluteMOA/Ravin

I took a break from shooting steel at the range and wanted to see if I could tag some miscellaneous small objects on the 585+ yard berm. Since the steel gongs were shot up and it was difficult to see just how precise I was shooting, I thought I might get a better idea by seeing the impacts in the dirt vs hitting the large gongs over and over. Not to mention, I really enjoy picking on small objects at ELR and just wanted to have some fun.

Ever hear of washing your replacement cotton moisture filters?

Has anyone tried washing those Moisture filters then drying them out? That’s a new one for me, but some one on
a YouTube video clams they do, then dry them out in the sun. If you shoot a lot it could save some money, but I
do not shot enough to go to that existent.

N/A  Vintage air rifles

I'm new to this forum. Is there a specific subforum for discussing vintage air rifles? I have a Webley MK1 Service Rifle with acid etched markings and really need experts to guide me on how to clean/restore it. Yes, I know, I might have the only example in the US. I happened on it at local gun store in So Cal a few years ago. It was sitting by a couple Perazzis and, for some reason, it just spoke to me and told me to take it home. I wasn't interested in the $50,000 shotguns but this air rifle just had to go home with me. I had no idea what I was buying at the time. Now that I know, I want some guidance on how to proceed with it.

New EFT target design

Reading a post from Leo about WFTF in the Olympics gave me an interesting idea. How can we make EFT targets more affordable, more functional and easier to setup? (I realize that's a question, not an idea. Unclinch yourself, the idea is coming.)

Here's the idea. Get rid of the moving parts and strings. Attach a metal plate to a 2x6, perpendicular. Attach an electronic hit indicator to the metal plate. Put a bracket a few inches in front of the metal plate. Slide a face plate into the bracket. Done.

So you would shoot through the kill zone in the face plate to hit the back plate, setting off the hit indicator.

I know what you are thinking: But those hit indicators are millions of dollars! Nope. The Hornady models are 10 buck each. Hell, they were giving them away in goodie bags at SHOT show!

So what problem does this new target solve? It gets rid of the expensive EFT targets that are tricky to set up to fall for 30 fpe to 100 fpe hits. It allows more versatility for face plates and kill zone shapes because the face plate doesn't have to reset and it doesn't matter where you hit the paddle to score a hit. You don't even have to cut out animal shapes for your face plates, just use a square metal plate and paint whatever animal you want. Since the back target is just a piece of metal attached to a 2x6, you can just leave them out in the lanes between shoots. Just pick up the face plates for painting and bring in the hit indicators for charging. You could fit a whole 30 target course in the back of a side by side, since it's just 30 face plates and a bucket of hit indicators. The only reason for a cold line is if a hit indicator went down, which doesn't happen very often based on the PRS matches I've attended. No more strings! And, depending on the steel used, rimfire friendly for you XFT folks.

So 3/16 AR400 steel plates are about $170 for a 2x2 plate. That would make 16 6"x6" target plates, so a little over $10 a target. Another $10 for the hit indicator. Call it $5 for the wood and hardware. So $25 per target plus the face plate. AOA sells a 5 pack of big game silhouettes for $90 that would make great face plates, just cut out the kill zone. SO you could go El Cheapo and be in this for about $60 a target. It's hard to find AAFTA targets for that cheap.

So that's my idea. I'm not even going to try to monetize this because it's so easy and obvious, what would be the point?

Here are some pictures (mostly for Ron). I drew this in Tinkercad and it assigns automatic names to new designs, so this system is now known as the Dazzling Trug. We can just call it the TRUG system for short. In 20 years people will wonder where the name came from, but no one will remember.

N/A  New to the Forum and new to PCPs

Hello, like the title says, I'm new here. I'm currently living in So Cal. I've been shooting firearms since about 1976 and casually shooting/plinking/hunting small game with air guns since about 1980. I've been involved with 1000 yard benchrest .50 cal matches since 2006. I finally took the PCP plunge a few days ago and ordered an Avenger X in .22. I feel completely lost right now but, hopefully my rifle, optics, compressor, CF tank, etc. will be here this Friday and I'll be more comfortable once I have them in hand. As soon as I learn a little more, I'm sure I'll end up with a .30, .38, .50 and probably a Seneca shotgun within a year or two. Of course, I'll probably end up with a higher end .22 too. The Avenger X is going to be my go to EDC on my side by side and ready for Euroasians, quail and cottontails at all times (during the appropriate seasons). I'm assuming I should run a couple patches down my barrel prior to shooting it. Is there anything else I should do with a brand new setup? Do I need to purge a new tank like I do when filling a LP tank for the first time? Am I just being a wimp by being scared of the high pressures associated with PCPs? I'm excited and nervous about getting into PCPs.

Two sale

Well at least at Ballistas in Cz, they have 10 % sale on all Epic 2 rifles and also upgrades like barrels ASO.

Debby is messing with my shooting time!

I live a little west of Columbia, SC. We started feeling impacts from tropical storm Debby last night and have had rain all day today. The coast of Georgia and South Carolina are getting far greater impacts and Florida was impacted by Debby when it was still a hurricane. I feel fortunate that we are only getting kind of fringe impacts of this storm. But they are still enough I haven't been able to shoot all day today and may not have a chance until Friday afternoon or evening. I may have to shoot the "know your limits" target some through the rain. I can do that from the back porch and stay relatively dry. Wind level is not taking down trees here but all the rain will saturate the soil raising the risk as this continues.

I look forward to the weather clearing so I can put out some targets. Or take the boat out and do a little fishing. But I can't really complain too much. I have electricity and have other things to do - less enjoyable things but it could be a lot worse.

Need Recommendations for a PCP Airgun to Deal with Coyotes

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for advice on purchasing a PCP airgun to address a coyote problem in my backyard. I live in a golf course community in CA so I can't kill them with my real gun, and lately, we've had an increasing number of coyotes jumping fences and gates. Unfortunately, they've been killing some of my neighbors' dogs, and I want to ensure my pets are safe. I truly have 0 knowledge when it comes to PCP guns or anything thats why I'm writing this forum.

Here's what I'm looking for:

  • Caliber: I'm not sure what caliber would be best for effectively taking down a coyote with one shot. Any suggestions?
  • FPS: What FPS should I be aiming for to ensure a humane and effective kill?
  • Range: The maximum distance I'd be shooting is around 40 yards.
  • Budget: I'd like to stay within a budget of $2,000-$2,500.
I would greatly appreciate any specific model recommendations or links to products that fit these criteria. Your expertise and experience would be invaluable in helping me make the right choice. If you have any recommendations please let me know! ill truly appreciate it and hope to get revenge for all the neighbors!

Thank you in advance for your help!

Drives me ****ing Crazy when manufacturers...

Drives me ****ing crazy when manufactures will post a max fps or fpe for a certain pcp but don't include the weight of the slug / pellet they used to come up with those numbers. Also, when they don't state if it's available unchoked. Trying to compare different rifles and just annoyed, hard to get apples to apples comparison
