HW55 value

Hello all, I am new here. I recently inherited an HW55. I am very familiar with firearms but know very little about air rifles.

What would be a fair price for a rifle like this? I know there are different values based on the stock style and the other variations. The rifle does operate and shoot pellets and the locking lever is nice and snug however mechanically I don't know much more than that about it. Visually it is in very very nice shape. Let me know your thoughts. Thank you very much

FX  FX Impact M3 expectations

Hi guys, wanted to share my journey with my FX Impact m3. I bought it at the end of last summer, it is a 177 with a 600 barrel running a stock tune. I bought it mainly to plink at 50-200m, as well as pest control on my farm. I'm shooting JBS diabo match exact heavies, 10.34gr as I have a bunch of packs sitting around. I do plan on tuning it but Id like to understand and see what the stock tune is capable of first.

My first time shooting it was a little bit of a let down, 1.5-2.5" groups at 50 yards, just under 1" at 30 yards. I called the dealer and they said it will take acouple hundred rounds to settle in. I did a bit more shoot, mostly pest control and I feel its more than accurate for hunting. I didn't shot any more paper last year, I've got a 6.5cd that gets most my attention when it comes to precision work. Anyways, I figured with the nice weather I'd spend some time with the impact, and if i can get it shooting nicely Ill invest in a couple other barrel/liners. It would be cool to shoot 22 and 30 cal slugs.

I filled it last night to 220 bar last night, by the morning it was at 195 tank pressure, but the 1st reg ad crept up to 170 (from a stock 150). I noticed the second had crept up to 95 from I believe 85 stock.

Today we had zero wind so I figured it would be a good day to get out for some shooitng. The first 3 shots where between 989 and 978, then it settle around 962 to 970 with he odd shot between 949 and 953. First couple groups where around 2" at 50m shooting from a bench with front and rear bags. Eventually things settled and I shot 10, 5 shot groups between 1.5" to 5/8". I also noticed after a couple of shot the 1st reg also reset to 155.

My 22 produces 1/4" or tighter at 50m so I am confident this is not user error (I am a competent shooter with a military background).

Is this normal?
I was expecting groups under 1/2" at 50m without much difficulty, are my expectations out of unrealistic?
Would this be regulator creep and is this covered under my warranty?
Any suggestion?
Also, when I go to tune it, should I start with the valve adjuster fully open or keep it where it is?

Thanks, K

Like new .22 Pathfinder. It was purchased new in April, I am the second owner. I recently purchased a Vet 1 and find I just don't shoot the Pathfinder enough to keep it. RAW .177-Can it run with the big dogs?

I've had my RAW HM1000x chassis in .177 cal built by Martin Rutterford at Airguns-USA now for three weeks. I tested it at my local range and shot an EBR target with a score of 214 using Zan 13.4 gr slugs at 1010 fps. This encouraged me to use it at the next match.

Match day, the weather in Sparta was perfect. Light winds and 80 degree temperature. There were 15 seasoned competitors there using Red Pandas, Skouts, FX Mavericks, Impacts, Pantheras and Crowns. I was the only guy with a RAW. Two others showed up to shoot in the .177 class just to see how it went. One man had a Maverick and the other a Delta Wolf. The rest were shooting the usual .22, .25, and .30 rifles. Targets were 100 yard EBR.

We shot two relays and my scores were 182 and 211. The 211 should have been a 220, but I lost count of where I was and missed one bull and put two 9s in the next one. I also shot three relays with my Impact MK2 in .22 but my scores were so-so. I did qualify for the finals and was going to use the Impact, but a friend urged me to use the .177 RAW. I came in third with a 211 which pleased me very much. This was better than any other match I've shot here. I usually shoot Impacts in .22 and .30 cal. We were all humbled, however, by a young lady that won with a Crown .22 cal with a score of 222. Congratulations, Anna.

Bottom line? I think the .177 cal rifles are very capable of competing against larger calibers up to 100 yards. This was an interesting experiment to say the least. Did I say I really like my RAW rifle??

HW/Weihrauch  Pistol scope??

I’m a fan of Hawke scopes but in the dark on the optics for pistols.
Is this a good match for an HW44
Thanks

Flattered

Tony of talon tunes posting the Vulcan 3 video on his advert post. This was the video from Steve AVS with my gun couple years ago. We were early acquirers of the platform. We never achieved top tuning before I was forced to sell via economic reasons. Now both myself and Steve are definitely supporters of this platform, and I feel it’s slightly better competition is the epic 2. But, in reality, the epic 1 in 700mm is the direct comparison. But several hundred more.

RTI  Prophet / Priest .177 slug shooters - are there any in here? ;-)

Cutting to the chase - I have a 20" (510mm) .177 LW barrel in one of my prophets and it really likes jsb 13g ko's. I'm down to my last tin of them. I've heard / seen via youtube (and maybe in here?) that the zan's are supposed to be quite good. The Danish youtube guy (Viking Airgunner) - he swears by the 16g zan's. He's also got a 700mm barrel too so . . . . he can get 'em up to speed w/out much effort. I'm just curious if any of you guys are shooting the subjected and with what for ammo? I'm tempted to pick up a "tin" ( carton - whatever the zan's come in ) of both the 13's and the 16's just to try them out.

------> OR <------

Do I just not be a knucklehead and grab another 4 or 5 tins of a known good ammo and be done with it? ( lol ) I kinda don't mind experimenting but then again - I also (potentially) wind up with yet another tin of "X" ammo that didn't work and it winds up just sitting in a box taking up space . . .

Thanks guys

Want to be worth while

This is not a self pity deal. I was like many in the beginning here, just looking to post enough to sell stuff. Then I became enamored with all the cool stuff here! Now, IDK, 6 years later, I feel I’m running out of worthy contributions, big part of it is personal range access. I have ZERO! Have to now rely on firearms public range hour and a half away. Eastern Long Island, known for windy weather. Limited funds blocks cutting edge access to new stuff, mora, epic 1. Etc. how do I continue to contribute? Ahhh, feeling a bit bummed 🫤. Sorry about the pity semi rant, lol!
