$27 chronograph

Amazon clamp on. Recently tried getting my old shooting chrony working inside. Bought a set of led lights and taped on several different ways.
No luck, figured it wasn’t bright enough and ordered some multi light panels that I have to wire up. Should have just ordered the factory light kit for
$60. In the mean time I ordered and received this very inexpensive clamp on.

It works, and seems to work well.

FX  Critique my tune

I’m new to PCP’s, have looked at several tuning videos and have experimented with the various adjustments to see what they do.

I think I have a good setup for my gun and this pellet, but have no idea if that’s true. So I’d appreciate a critique, especially from other Impact M4 shooters.

I tried to tune first for FPS, then accuracy, then air usage. When my sights behave I get very good groups at 50ft.

Gun: FX Impact M4 Sniper .22 cal – standard 700mm barrel
- FYI: I’ve fired over 1500 rounds, all JSB, so the gun should be normalized.

Pellet: JSB Exact Jumbo, 15.89gr

Regulator: 93 bar

Macro: 8

Micro: 3.0

Valve: 4 + 1 notch

FPS: Average for 27 rounds: 933, high 946, low 924

Air usage: 0.67 bar/round

How did I do?

Thanks for the help

FX  DRS walnut stock refinish

Well, I've purchased the FX DRS 500/.22.
I've been interested in this "air tube over barrel" concept ever since I saw it announced last year. After decades of owning and shooting airguns of all types, I'm really liking the bull barrel "firearm look" of this rifle.

I wanted the Grade 2 Walnut, but couldn't find it in stock anywhere. Utah Airguns said there should be some Gr-2 walnuts coming soon, but couldn't really be sure when.
So, I decided to buy the Grade 1 from UA, and add some features myself.

I went with Ebony caps, with English Holly spacers, on the grip & forend. Installed a white lined recoil pad, and front sling stud.

I'm really liking this new FX platform, and it shoots as good as it looks, (to my eye). Typical FX accuracy, and only weighs 5Lb- 15oz, with this light scope.
To help achieve this light weight....
I drilled some large holes into the butt stock to lighten that heavy area up. (Actually saved 2.9oz with that). Also reduced the width of the raised cheek piece by 1/4". I kept the height the same. That gave me a better scope alignment, and also saved some more weight. The final task was applying four hand rubbed coats of Maccari Royal London stock oil, for a satin finish.

I'm using the Huma Mod-30 moderator, but only using the first section of the M30 to keep the rifle as short as possible. It only cuts the report by about half, which is acceptable for me. I don't have any noise restrictions at my home.

I wanted to share my excitement with this new FX rifle, by posting a few pics during the build sequence.
Anyone else done any customization to your DRS? Or other beloved airgun? I'd love to hear about them.
Have fun!!

PCP Rifle  NLA Snowpeak m60b 30 cal compact

Time to move this along. It's far too loud at anything over 70 fpe for my backyard now. New neighbors aren't taking kindly to it.

Has the power valve and porting done. Adjustable from 40-90 fpe, depending on regulator setting and projectile weight.

OAL is 30", barrel is 17.5" long. 1/2" threaded adapter so you can change out the mod if you like.

Upgraded cocking handle.

Comes with the DonnyFL Koi and 3 mags. 2 are Big Air brand, one factory mag. Stock 350cc 250 bar aluminum bottle.

Full disclosure. The right side of the rear panel has a missing screw and 2 screws that the hex head rounded out during reinstall. Simple fix. The cheek rest covers them also. The panel isn't loose at all.

Bipod not included.

PCP Rifle  SOLD *SOLD pending remainder of funds* Custom Huben K1 .25

IMG_1333.jpeg

IMG_1332.jpeg

IMG_1338.jpeg

IMG_1334.jpeg

Selling my custom k1 because I no longer have a large property to shoot it. My gk1 is all I need for the short distances I shoot. (This is NOT a backyard plinker. DO NOT buy this to shoot in your backyard).

This K1 has been built to be a long range slug shooter. Currently set to shoot 43.5 gr NSA slugs @925 fps (83 fpe). Can shoot heavier slugs like Altaros 49 gr for better BC and fpe. Power can go up to 100 fpe with higher reg pressure and heavier slugs. Current reg setting is 170 bar. Set to 200 bar for max power.

Last month it had all new internal parts installed. Including both the valves. Internally this is like a new gun. (All work done by main Huben repair shop - Krazcool Airguns).

Here’s a list of upgrades:

1) TJ barrel (hammer forged, chromoly barrel) 1:14 twist rate. 2” longer than stock barrel for a little extra power.

2) custom machined slug magazine (.250) that allows you to shoot a wider variety of slugs compared to the stock magazine that limits the slug options (because .253-.254 diameter is needed). Made from 7075 aluminum.

3) Huma regulator

4) Eaglevision moderator adapter

I modified the stock and added a shoulder hook. The stock has not been painted so the cut and sanding marks are still visible. I was going to paint it. If you don’t want this stock I have a brand new stock.

$1450 $1400 for K1 with modified stock

$1400 $1350 for K1 with original stock

Also have a DonnyFL Sumo that can be included for an extra $75. Will not sell it separately per AGN rules.

I accept PayPal, Zelle, venmo and cashapp. Buyer sends shipping label. I will include various slugs: Altaros 49 gr, NSA 38 gr, VK 33 gr, and some others.

PCP Rifle  SOLD Custom Kalibrgun Cricket .22 REDUCED AGAIN!!

Thinning out the herd. Selling my Kalibrgun cricket .22cal mini carbine, because I have too many rifles.
I purchased this rifle new from Georgia airguns. And had Charlie special order the monte-carlo style rifle stock, which is not normally available in the USA. This stock puts the action forward, more like a traditional rifle, with the cocking lever well forward of your head.

I refinished the stock, removing the factory mud color stain, and added rosewood decorative caps on the grip & forearm, and then giving it a natural satin oil finish. Also added custom hand cut checkering, and sling swivel studs. It's currently adjusted to shoot 16 grain JSB pellets at 860fps, with great accuracy. 75 shots per fill. Can easily be adjusted for more, or less power via hammer spring adjuster.
This rifle is in mint condition, with no issues. No scratches, or dents. And holds air for months. (Scope and rings are NOT included).
Comes with fill probe, original replacement O-ring kit from Charlie, and five 14 round magazines. $950.00 shipped. I accept PayPal G&S, or USPS money order.
Text or call for more info & pics, 603 903 5368. [email protected].

HW/Weihrauch  Weihrauch HW77K Venom Lazaglide Tyrolean

I just bought a small collection of airguns, all lower end guns, except for this gem! This is a .177 HW77K Venom Lazaglide that was made in 1991, sits in a Tyrolean stock and is the reason I bought the whole collection. I just shot a string of 5 shots this morning to test it out, which averaged 824 fps with H&N Field Target Trophy 8.64 gr. for 13 ft. lbs. I’ll probably tear it down in the future and relubricate and change out the seals. I’m a left handed rifle shooter and the stock is made for a righty. I'll mount a scope on it in the near future and see if my eye lines up properly shooting it from the left side.

*****Edit, I made the mistake of "musing" if I should sell the rifle or the stock or not and the mods sent me a nasty gram! I was admonished on how long I need to be a member, that I need to hav ten quality posts and to post "for sale Ads" in the classifieds. It is regardless that I'v been a member here since the beginning and I have bought and sold on the classifieds many times. Therefore I have edited my post to remove the mere supposition that this rifle may in the future at some undesignated time or place be offered for sale.****** MOD EDIT - YOU MET THE CLASSIFIED REQUIREMENTS LONG AGO. IF YOU WISH TO SELL THIS ITEM THAT IS WHERE IT NEEDS TO BE DONE.

Skout  Skout Customer service?

I am contemplating buying an Epoch and sent Skout an enquiry on Tuesday and still not heard a thing from them, now I have always been told they are very good with talking to their customers but? I am in the UK and have had feedback from other UK Skout owners that they are happy to help etc, but I am starting to wonder maybe i should be thinking of another make, what's your experience?

Crap weather, backyard range, pellet testing my new Uragan 2

Terrible but very much needed weather down here in Tasmania, Australia this past week. A week ago the ground was dry as a bone heading into our Aussie Summer. We switched over to our last tank of rainwater which meant rationing the water, giving ourselves restrictions on showers and water usage etc. We have dams for watering though luckily.
Then, out of nowhere the weather turned! 4 days of almost constant rain. All our water tanks are full and overflowing, dams and creeks full and raging, and our road into home is half washed away. I think close to 300mm or 12 inches of rain.

Anyway, today the weather has eased up some so I finally got to do a little slug testing on the new Uragan 2.
My oldest boy (18) works at the gunshop in town, so last week I dropped him off into work, and came back home with a new AGT Uragan 2, Good trade I reckon!
Wind still coming and going, and a few small showers had me abandon our shotgun/shooting range in favour of a makeshift indoor range shooting out of my messy workshop. It's not pretty but it got me shooting! I used a pile of timber as my seat, and a camp table for a bench. Not awesome, but plenty good for a rough Sunday arvo.

It looks like my .22 700mm Uragan 2 favours the .217 slugs. As yet, I've only managed to get hold of H&N and Zan slugs so hit me up with other suggestions to try, but both are shooting best in the .217, and both in the 25gn at around 970 fps. So far I've not bothered to chase more power, so shooting it as it came, and I guess it makes sense that it likes 25gn?

At 40m / 44 yards most slugs were grouping just under an inch, but the 25gn would pull back in nicely to 0.3/0.4 ish. A couple random one hole wonders but mostly averaged out to 0.4 inch.
Still blowing a gale I thought I'd try the last few H&N 25's from the sample pack at 75m/82y. Considering the wind I, was still pretty happy with the average grouping of just over an inch. I didn't even measure it to be honest but it'd be 1 1/2 at the most I'd say. Then for about a minute the wind died to a breeze and gave me just enough time to squeeze off a quick decent group. Measured at 0.713 so nicely sub moa. Good enough for today so packed everything up before the weather got too hectic again.

I'll have to wait for some better weather and some more slugs to stretch it out further, but I'll be super happy if I can get this gun to shoot moa at 100m. Looking like it'll do it, but I'll have to wait and see.

Skout  Skout barrel systems questions ??

My questions revolve around compatibility between the two systems (epoch and evo ). In regards to the evo barrels I am talking about the ones with liners not the solid bull barrels. I think I remember seeing in a video that in order for the evo barrels to fit in an epoch the locking lug mechanism would have to be changed on the epoch ?? What about the standard evo barrel liners, will they just drop into the epoch shrouds and work ? Will complete epoch barrel systems slide into the evo and work ? Or would you have to put the epoch liners into the evo shrouds to make it work ? Thanks.

Air Venturi  Comp 10 pistol

Today I tried out my new pistol and it only comes with a right hand grip and of course I’m left handed. Found out that I can shoot it so easy right handed I’m not going to change the grip. It sure makes my compressor feel neglected. Just shoot and to the tin runs out. My only complaint is that it will not allow a scope to be mounted. At least I don’t see how to do it as is. A fun gun for sure and is the quietest air gun I have. Charles
