Hope you had a chance to watch the SpaceX rocket launch from Vandenberg AF base in Cal. This was the show from my backyard in the Phoenix AZ area over 500 miles away!! Gotta love camera phones these days! Pretty awesome stuff right there 8:40 Pm Tuesday June 18th! Scroll from the bottom pic upwards, they are in better order that way. Wasn't really sure where to post it, thought this the best place.

To PCP or Not PCP…. That is the question

Hello All

New here and wondering if my kids first “real” air gun should be a PCP or a Springer. Inherent advantages to both and of course the real possibility that I end up with what ever I buy for them in addition to what I chose for myself…. I’ve been leaning towards a tuned marauder from AR in .22 for then and for me ….. oh so many glorious choices …..

FX  FX M3 blows through both regulators to full bottle pressure in plenum.

Gun was working fine and then, after sitting for a few weeks, full bottle pressure was reading at the 1st and 2nd stage gauges. Swapped gauges. No change. Rebuilt the second stage reg (all 0rings). No change Rebuilt the 1st reg (all 0rings) No change. For history, have only adjusted the 2nd reg down with all air bled out and have never touched first regulator till now. Currently, I screw on 200 bar bottle and first reg stops at 100 bar and second reg at 60 bar. Great....... After about 2 minutes, suddenly the 1st reg climbs to 200 bar in 10 seconds or so and second reg follows and goes to 200 bar. Do I need new regulator pistons? Weird because I usually have no problems in working on all my FX rifles (6) with the Panthera never needing any attention :)

Talk about coolness at the top level

I’ll keep this short. I’m at RMAC, all at the team CENTERCUT house. It took me almost 12 hours to get here, and long story short, I almost didn’t come. I took a hard fall the morning I was planning to leave for RMAC. I’m on a cane, with drop foot on my left foot, and I don’t know what caused it, but my right knee went out and down I went, and slammed my shoulders against a brick wall and scraped body parts on the exposed ag in my breezeway
IMG_9108.jpeg

If you zoom in you’ll see blood. I tore my little toe open, scraped up my left arm, and just overall bruised up my shoulders and mid back. That brick wall surrounding my little koi pond is what my shoulders came crashing on.
There was blood all over my left foot, and two things sucked at that moment- I can’t reach my foot to asses the damage due to a fused spine, and second, no one was home.
I somehow managed to get up and hobble to the bathroom to sit in the shower to wash my foot, and I had a neighbor friend come over to patch my foot up.

So here I am in utah, and the dressing needs changed and foot cleaned.
The guy on AGN that is a respected tuner, that most everyone knows- ZX10WALL, Derrick Wall jumped right on it-
IMG_9124.jpeg
IMG_9123.jpeg

I barely know Derrick cause I’m new to team CENTERCUT, but he fixed me up with not one grimace on his face like as if he was a professional nurse. I just wanted to let people know, this guy is no joke. If you ever wonder if your gun that you send to him is in good hands, rest assured, this detail oriented guy will treat it as if it were his very own.

Thank you, Derrick. I’ve had a tough time getting here to utah, and it’s good to know I’ve got him and the rest of team CC to help me out!

Skout  The one gun to rule them all .

Gun was delivered late this afternoon so I havent had a lot of time with It. , so anyway I aired It up and took It out to my range 50 yards using 18g AEA and JSB both shooting at around 910 fps , so yeah big smiles , tomorrow Ill be testing some heavier pellets out to 100 yards . Im going to enjoy getting to know this gun .
More to come .

Other  Inexpensive Durometer Okay?

I like to buy o-rings in bulk rather than in "sets" from the manufacturer which can be expensive. One tricky think is knowing the correct hardness if the manufacturer will not share that information. I'd like to get a durometer shore A tester and see several on Amazon for $25-$30. Does anyone have experience with these inexpensive testers? I do not want to spend hundreds of $$$'s on an industrial grade tester.

Thanks!
MikeAllen

Another use for O Rings

I've always worn "sport / dive" type watches. Usually Casio or Seiko in the $100 - $200 range with rubberized bands. I don't like metal or leather bands. My one Pet Peeve is that every 3 - 4 years the keeper that holds the end of the band in place breaks - on every one I have had. Replace the band or tape it in place. My latest watch - the new band was going to be $45.00. I was at my work bench and I had a genius thought. What about one of the O Rings that I had laying around for my PCP's. I put this on about 2 years ago. Problem solved.

Compressor choice, and how to avoid scams.

Hello Airgun Nation!
I am looking to buy a affordable compressor. I have seen so many brands and dont know which ones are good, and which ones that ain't clones.
The brands that I feel would be worth the money are: Young Heng, GX and possibly Tuxing.

I have found a Yong Heng from Germany on AliExpress, for a decent prize but I'm not sure if it's a clone or original. Link to said compressor: https://a.aliexpress.com/_EvmlMLp

It has the black sign on the side, but they do not offer the model with a lcd display.
Does anyone here know if this is a clone, and how do you tell it's original outside the black stampsign on the side, and if the seller offers the lcd model?

Tuxing does offer alot of spares if anything does happen to the compressor but I have read alot of bad reviews of the cheaper ones. Have Tuxing gotten any better or do they still offer compressors that needs fixing pretty fast, and bad customer's service?

Then there are all the newer brands, I haven't read about there being GX clones, and almost everyone seems happy with their GX.

Vevor seems pretty cheap and the reviews I have read seems to be from satisfied customers. I have found one Vevor I liked the specs on but it looks like a Yong Heng clone, here is the link anyways. If there turns out to be many people who are satisfied with such a Vevor, it would be great since its so cheap and free shipping 😆 https://a.aliexpress.com/_Eyrfdrd

Nuoge compressors I havent found much about, they look pretty cheap, if I can say as much. But I dont know this world so maybe I'm wrong

Cobra brand compressors atleast look a little better than the Nuoge ones, but I couldn't find much about them either.

Does anyone know if I get the warranty from Amazon if I buy it from Europe, specifically Skandinavia?

Edit: I have been in contact with Europeairguns.com and they recommended their new Onix series compressors.
They are atleast a 100 euro more, and with tax and duty fees it's probably gonna cost about 600 euro for this one:

Does anyone know anything about Onix compressors?

Sorry for such a messy and drawn out post.

Your's truly Infantrage

N/A  Wanting that low power pester

Starting the fairly long journey to acquire a lower power 22 cal pcp. I am spoiled by tier 1 guns so budget items not really shaking my tree. Cost is always an issue, shocker there! But in all seriousness, I’ve been recommended several excellent models. Small, relatively light, obviously accurate, smooth operating. But 2 things are of importance with this project quiet and cost. Lastly, the cocking handle needs to be on right side so my friend can use it. This took out RTI. So far, I have these on my list.
1- RAW microhunter
2- FX dreamtac compact
3- BRK atomic/ ranger / pathfinder compact
4- airmaks krait
Now I know there are others, the EVOL mini is out because of price. I’m trying to get to the $1000-$1300 range. Most likely previously owned. But 4 months from now? Who knows. Adjustable power is preferred but the power of this 22 cal would be in 18-23 FPE. Primary pellets are hades/atomics and polymags. 16g stuff. Length Of platform, 24-28” as a ballpark.
Now I know Tony has a couple vet 1 standards but my friend can’t work the rear lever, and they are heavier. Mr Leon frequently touts the atomic and it has much to offer, but they’re tough to come by.
What other offerings are out there? I’m absolutely no fan of hatsan, Kral or umarax, or AEA. What have I missed? Thanks.

The PVC, 1-1/4" Bore PCP air cannon????

Hello everyone,

I was talking with @rsfrid / Ross yesterday and told him that I had some serious withdrawals from not being able to do any shooting lately. I have both of my rifles up for sale so I don't want to shoot them. Over 1-1/2 months ago I sent my .177 caliber Pistol to be tuned, and still have not received it back :( . Then the "new" Reximex RP came in and it had a defect with the Fill Probe, so I sent that to be modified and not sure when I will get it back  .

Ross suggested that I make a Blow Gun. Well as it turns out I built several Air Cannons many years ago and they will shoot a 1-pound projectile vertically OUT-of-SIGHT . So this morning I set up a paper target tapped on a cardboard box out at 20-yards. I filled the cylinder up to 50-Pounds, yes 50-pounds, and blew a rather large nasty hole in the target o_O. The projectile went through the box and continued out another 35-yards where it hit an Oak tree and ricocheted across the street another 15-yards .

I feel so much better now, however I’m not sure how to score this target :ROFLMAO::p

Range: Outdoor 20 - Yards
Rifle: Air Cannon 1-1/4" Bore
Scope: No Sights
Pellets: Projectile 1-Pound
FPS: ??
FPE: ??
Wind: 3 to 5 mph

Anyone in the States have these in stock yet? Not a huge amount of information on these yet.
Other is the Red Panda. But it seems the luster sizzled out. People were talking now just silence. Any known issues yet? or just all hype?

On Saturday June 15th, OKLAHOMA City Gun Club put on a “Get To Know Day”. So we put out a handful of the targets we shoot (disciplines). We wanted to let our AirHeads to shoot at ones they may normally not. Thom Davies said it best ”I kinda felt like I was at Disney World for airguns. Try all the rides and then go back and do em again”. Our own Joe Underwood came up with an idea and we just tweaked his idea a little! We shot at the Field Targets, XFT, N50 and 1/10th scale Silhouettes! The new Targets we just finished are the Silhouettes. These are a little difficult to say the least. You do this standing: chickens @ 20, Pigs @ 30, turkeys @ 36 and the rams @ 45 yards! Next in order were four N50 targets. Then the XFT and then last in order were the Field Targets! It sure worked out really well. They had a blast and a lot of fellowship. I think we had between 18-20 shooters show up!!!
