Considering it's been a while since I've opened a match report with an apology, anyone that knows me probably suspected that couldn't last for long! See how 'artfully'
I avoided doing so this time?
All six shooters attending last Saturday's BRS match (
almost A WEEK AGO) contested the 100 Foot Pound Pellet class. Jim Byrd prevailed for the coveted Match Winner hat-pin with a 33/40 score posted with his Athlon scoped .30 caliber FX Impact, shooting 45.06 grain JTS pellets 880 FPS. His 33/40 was also high score of the day... by a very wide margin. Great shooting, Jim!
Jim Clarke was second in 100 Foot Pound Pellet Class with an excellent 28/40 score. JC shot 33.95 grain JSB pellets 960 FPS in his Hawke scoped .25 Red Wolf. Good shooting, Jim.
Jim Byrd also won the (100 FP maximum) Slug class by posting a 26/40 score with his Athlon-scoped .25 Vulcan 3, shooting 50 grain Altoros slugs 885 FPS. Good shooting, JB.
The
Clarke Jim dominated the three-shooter 30 Foot Pound Pellet field by posting the same 26/40 score the
Byrd Jim posted in winning Slug class. Fine shooting, JC! Jim shot 18 grain JSB pellets 930 FPS in his Hawke-scoped .22 Red Wolf in that fine 35 Foot Pound performance, for 34.9999901 foot pounds. Yes, I exaggerate; he had almost a half foot pound to spare.
Good shooting, Jim.
As for why this match report is so late in coming, my
excuse is exactly that. I have been very busy trying to keep up with maintenance, repairs and modifications of seemingly everything in Ronny World breaking down faster than I can keep up. About the time I get one vehicle, mower, airgun, crossbow, arrow(s), home-upkeep, or (
high priority) HOT TUB fixed
,
TWO MORE everythings go down!
Consequently I'll CLOSE this match report with an apology... and by repeating myself.
See how 'artfully'
I avoided
opening this match report with an apology?
Take it away, Bob-
.
