RAW Rapid  Sekhmet gauge for HM1000x - Dimensional issue!

Hi,
Just wanted to share my experience with the Sekhmet 28mm gauge and my HM1000x. I know from experience that analog gauges are not as accurate as digital gauges (parallax, internal friction, inertia, hysteresis, etc) so I was pretty excited to get my Sekhmet. I found two issues; one, there was a slight leak. Two, it froze. They provided me with a replacement, which had the updated firmware, and that has solved the freezing issue. However, the new gauge also leaked. I used the o-ring seal under the gauge body as suggested, but I couldn't get it to seal completely.

It turns out that the nipple is too long!!! Upon removing the gauge and inspecting it, I found that the leading edge of the thread had stripped, and there was scratching on the aluminum where the v-block mounts. I did not over-tighten the gauge, so I have to think this is an engineering issue.

I'll communicate this to Sekhmet today, and see what they recommend. Otherwise, I'll just whittle it down some.

Field target gun tote decorations

I built this gun tote a few years ago. I wanted it to look old so I put a thick coat of gray primer on it followed quickly by a can of green gloss enamel. The paint shattered like glass when it dried. Looks like old windows frames or something.
I dug around for some stuff to decorate it. And found an old steering wheel cover and some car emblems. So I knocked it all together.

Anyone want to guess what kind of car that emblem is from? And how much it’s worth?

I had no idea. I just put that emblem on because I thought it was cool for an airgun box. I had a big box of emblems at the time.

And if anyone wants it bring cash. 🤣
One man’s trash I guess.

Brocock/BRK  My Digs are now Haunted.

My new BRK Ghost Compact Plus in .22 arrived about 90 minutes ago.
Ghost New.jpg

I am very pleased with the lighter weight, build quality, and function of this rifle.

I put a Hawk 2x7 on it and sighted in at 25 yards (18.29 JSB). I put two mags through the rifle. The reg was at 250 bar when I received it. After two mags it was down to 200. I have to get the readers on to see what the reg pressure is set on. However, I'm not a tinkerer so I don't have intentions to fool with that. Then I thought the gun deserves better glass, so I put the best scope I've owned (March Compact) on it. Of course now I have to sight it in again. I ordered some 25 grain Hades from Pyramid Air just now because all I have are LOTS of 18 and 15 grain .22 pellets.

I also ordered some Pic rail sling swivels to hang a sling from. I have a DFL RYU moderator (.25) I bought for Taipan Vet 2 700MM, but I'm waiting on an adaptor to fit it to my TV barrel. I might put it on the Ghost to see if the sound change is dramatic. If not, the un-moderated barrel is just fine and I'll forgo OAL to the rifle.

I can see a .30 or .25 barrel, probe, & mag in my future. However, I never intend to hunt anything other than tree squirrels with it.

I'll get the chronograph going in the near future and do some power wheel testing to see what the rifle likes best with the incoming Hades.

HW/Weihrauch  Long-range springer shots

An AGN shooting buddy (Rounin) and I went out shooting this past Sunday. We put up the PCPs and brought out the springers for some long-range shots. I was shooting my HW77k 20 cal and he was using his Cometa Premier Compact 22 cal gas ram. We set some cans on a gate 108 yards away. After no more than 3 - 5 ranging shots, we proceeded to hit the cans about 8 out of 10 shots on average.

Skout  Skout Epoch Owners question.

I know there is an issue with the poly o-rings and keeping air in the rifle for prolonged periods. It's not really an issue taking the extreme accuracy into account. If this wasn't the case it would, in my mind, be more of an issue.
But I was curious if anyone had changed out the o-ring with 90 duro HNBR's to see if that helped?
HNBR 90 duro are pretty close to poly in durability but like to keep their shape better.
I'm not sure I even want to try as I do dump my air after use but it would be nice to keep it charged like every other airgun I've ever owned.

Brocock/BRK  Best PCP You've Ever Owned?

I know it takes in a lot of ground, but what rifle would you hate to be without?

For me, it's a 22 cal Brocock Bantam Sniper HR. Yep, old school bolt action.

It is the most reliable rifle, never a flyer, no poi shift. Always totally reliable. Very comfy to hold and shoot. Accuracy, even at 100 yds is fantastic. I just picked it up after not shooting it for a month or so and shot it 30 meters at a printed cross air target. The first shot hit perfectly centered on the cross and 4 more went right on top of that, for just over a 1/4" group. I have an SWFA Sniper 12X scope on it that is as reliable as the gun. What a package. I also added a fde stock from AOA and some fde rings and a custom BRCK bottle decal to jazz it up some. I don't know if this barrel is special but it sure is amazing.

Here's a Pic and a typical 5 shot 30m group.

So, let's hear from you guys. What's your favorite pcp?

Optics  SOLD Arken Zulus 5-20 LRF – mint condition

Arken Zulus 5-20 LRF – mint condition

Just purchased from another member who never used it last week. He owned 2 units.

I downloaded the latest DNT firmware, created a ballistic profile and uploaded it successfully from the DNT app to the Zulus.

The rangefinder works, the holdover is correct and the night vision is impressive.

However I personally cannot seem to adjust to the digital screen as I’m accustomed to an optical scope.

The Zulus looks and functions as virtually new, comes with all of the regularly-included items (2 batteries, eyecup, lens cover, mount, external charger, and cable.) It has only been mounted once.

My loss is your gain.

$500 net to me including shipping CONUS.

N/A  $250 pcp

I'd like to hear from those who own one of the $250 and under pcp rifles. I'm thinking specifically about: (.177)

Gamo Arrow
Diana Stormrider (gen-2)
Beeman Chief 2
Hatsan AT44
Plus any I missed

I'm looking for: at least good accuracy (not expecting great), ease of resealing as they all leak eventually, parts availability if needed and decent shot count.

If Gamo would make the Urban in 177 I wouldn't be posting this thread.....I'd happily fork over the extra $50 as I've loved my Urban 22.

Thanks in advance for any replies!

Airgun Technologies  Solved !!! I need help. It is impossible for me to know pressure of Uragan .22 Cal regulator.

Yesterday I changed internal o'rings of my Uragan .22 Cal.

Once I took off the regulator from the rifle I measured total length. After changing the two internal o'rings I remeasured that total length again, but the power I am getting on the rifle is miserable.

I do not know what happened.

I have disassembled and assembled the rifle many times playing with the total length of regulator, from almost closed to totally open and back to original length....

Not having a regulator gauge is like driving in a high road with eyes closed.

I do love AGT rifles but not having a gauge showing the pressure on regulator is clearly a big mistake. Also to have to disassemble entirely the rifle to move pressure on regulator.

I Almost spent the whole night working with the Uragan.

This morning I appreciate like never before my Delta Wolf !!!!!!!

Preventing a Moderator From Sticking To Moderator Adaptor

Does anyone have any tips on how to prevent a moderator from binding to the adapter? This is an issue for me with some Donny FL endcaps. When I go to unscrew them, sometimes it comes off with the adapter. It doesn't feel like I'm wrenching down on them when I affix the moderators and the adapters are hand tightened. I currently have one that is very difficult to separate from a knurled adapter by hand, but both come off the gun together.

Air Tanks  SOLD Scott 30 min. (44 cu ft) tank with new Fill assembly

This Scott tank shows minimal use ; manufacture date 07 / 06 , re-certification on 07 / 17. Past it's 15 year service life for use as breathing apparatus , but perfect for air gun use.
As the pictures show , this tank is in perfect condition and now has a 300 DIN valve with male foster fitting and a 20" hose with female foster's at both ends.
